I land Toothless in front of Astrid's house the next morning.
Luckily I figured out how to change from Dragon to human, but I can't control it.
"Astrid!" I call to her from outside her house.
Her front door opens revealing her. "Hiccup?" she asked.
"You coming?" I ask her.
She comes outside with Stormfly. "For what?"
I give her a look.
She face palms then looks at me. "Oh! It's the test today. Right." She grunted. "Okay. Hold one." She added going back inside.
Stormfly slowly came to me sniffing me. Toothless nudged me.
"What do you want?" I ask Stormfly, since Astrid's not here.
Stormfly looked up.
"You really are half Dragon, Toothless you weren't kidding!" she suddenly said to me then to Toothless.
Toothless nodded. "I told him yesterday." He said.
"How does it feel?" Stormfly asked.
"No different," I say. "Expect for the fact that I know I'm dragon and can't tell anyone."
Stormfly laughed a little looking to Toothless. "That's amazing. Finally someone can talk some sense into Hookfang." She said.
"I know. He's getting crazier as the days go by." Toothless added.
"So does Snotlout." I point out.
Toothless nodded.
"Hiccup? Are you talking to the dragons?" I hear Astrid ask as she comes up to me.
"Yeah- but I mean- their not talking back. 'Cause their dragons! They don't talk." I ramble trying not to get noticed.
She climbs onto Stormfly then looks to me. "Ready?" she asked.
"Lead the way.."
She have me a look then took off.
I hear Toothless snicker. "She's going to be the first to find out.." he joked.
"Shut up." I hiss.
Astrid stopped as I caught up to get. "Did you say something?" she asked.

"No,"
She just sighed and carried on.
I follow her.
After a bit we got to the academy.
I get off of Toothless staying by him.
"Look who showed up." I hear Snotlout sneer.
"What?" I ask.
"Thought you wouldn't show, you were acting a little funny." Fishlegs said to me.
"Oh, that. Yeah Gothi said it was just a bug. She said I'm fine now." I lie.
I can hear the dragons rambling. That's all I can hear.
Toothless nudged me ruffly.
"So what's the test?" Astrid asked.
"Test?" I ask.
"Today's the final test," Ruffnut reminded me.
"Oh... Right."
I look to Toothless.
"Yeah. Okay. Wait outside." I say.
They go to leave with the Dragons.
"The dragons stay!" toothless hissed.
All of them stopped. Snotlout looked to Hookfang. "Let's go Hookfang."
He didn't move.
I'll bring them out," I say. The gang looked at me then left.
"Why'd you ask us to stay?" Barf asked Toothless.
"To meet the new Dragon."
"Where?" Hookfang asked looking around.
Toothless sighed. "Hiccup.."
Meatlug looked at me. "He looks human to me."
"He's half Night Fury.." Stormfly hissed.
"He is?" both Barf and Belch yelled.
"Yes."
"Great, now we have a better flyer then Toothless!" Meatlug joked.
"No," Toothless started. "He can't even fly properly." He joked.
"Ha ha." I mumbled.
"Hiccup, let's go!" I hear Astrid yell.
"Okay. Let's go." I groan leading them out. Toothless nudged me again pushing me out of the academy.
I sigh to myself.
Maybe being both human and Dragon is harder then I thought.

System Change
Years ago, Earth was indoctrinated into the "System." Earth was not the only place with the System, however. With the System came the other races, Invaders. The Invaders had one goal, to obtain ownership of this new habitable planet. This created a bloodbath, and for years the war raged. This didn't really have much to do with Derek. Derek was kind of a loner. Yeah, he enjoyed the occasional chat or drink with others, but he never stayed in one place too long or really got to know anybody new. Derek did happen to be rather strong. After the years of fighting monster and Invaders alone, he had become quite adept at surviving. One thing that helped keep him alive was his refusal to get involved with others. He rarely cooperated with teams. One day, Derek broke his rules and decided to lend some help, as the mission didn't seem too hard. He should have stuck to being alone. Hey everyone, this is my fiction, "System Change." It's the first time I've really tried to write a serial. All feedback is really appreciated. I plan to release chapters every Tuesday and Thursday. With occasional extra chapters being released. I will try to maintain a word count between 1500-2500 words per chapter. Thank you! I just made a Discord if anyone wants to join.
