Katerina Blair and her friends return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for their second year of education, prepared for a year free of Voldemort and danger. However, the children quickly realise that this school year will not be fun and games when various students are found petrified — as though turned to stone — throughout that castle. Katerina also battles with her endless conflict of being a Slytherin but having her loyalties lie with Gryffindor.
