"Good afternoon, Mr. Hood," Doctor Gram spoke, but my attention was on the woman who stood next to him.

"This is Doctor Margery Clark," He continued. "She will be doing the hypnotherapy today."

"Hello, Calum." She put her hand out for me to shake.

"Hi." I didn't know what else to say.

"Please," She smiled, gesturing toward the couch. "Have a seat."

I gulped and did as I was told, not liking the empty feeling in the pit of my stomach. "So how does this work exactly?"

Both Doctors took their seats across from me, the arrangement of furniture different from what I was used to.

"Well, first off hypnotherapy is used to increase your self-awareness," Doctor Clark started. "My hope is that this will connect your subconscious with your conscious state of mind."

I nodded my head, my hands running up and down my jeans in hopes of ridding my mind of my nerves.

"There's no need to be scared, Calum." Doctor Gram smiled over at me for reassurance.

"Shall we get started?" Doctor Clark asked after a long moment of silence.

I breathed out a sigh and nodded my head again. "It's now or never."

"Okay," She leaned forward. "Now I need you to lay down and close your eyes."

I did as she said and shut my eyes, letting my body meld into the couch cushions.

"I want you to fixate on just the sound of my voice," She spoke in a low soothing tone. "Take deep breaths in and out. Clear your mind of everything you've experienced after that night."

My breathing slowed to a steady pace as I went back in time to the night I dreaded most.

"Think of your friends and the music that was playing."

"Think of the house you were at and the people you were with."

"Clear your head of everything but that one night."

My eyes were shut tightly as I focus in on every detail. My mind ran over all the dreams I had ever had since that night. My body relaxed further until it felt as if I was in a dream all together and it became like a movie in my head and I once again relived that horrible night.

My body crashed against the wall as I stumbled through a tiny crowd of people. My drunken state made it almost impossible for me to locate a bathroom, but as I staggered further into the house less and less people were seen. After what felt like forever I found a toilet. I probably shouldn't have been back this far in the house, the music was so muffled it didn't even feel like I was at a party anymore.

I headed out of the bathroom and wiped my still damp hands on my jeans before I turned to walk back the way I came. I stopped mid step and even though the music could still be heard, there was a noise much closer that held my attention.

"Please, just stop!" The muffled sound of a girl's cries invaded my ears.

My heart pounded in my chest as I pushed myself up against the closest door and listened for any other sounds. Maybe my hazy mind had just played a trick on me.

"Stop struggling you bitch!" A raspy male voice slurred from the other side of the door. "I know you want it."

My face contorted into pure rage as I gripped the handle and slammed my shoulder into the door to force it open. My body crashed into the dark space, the light from the hallway flooding into the room. There on the bed was exactly what I had expected. A girl half naked, tears staining her cheeks as a drunken guy tried to force himself on her.

"What the fuck man!" He yelled in my direction. "I'm busy here!"

He even had the audacity to turn back to the girl and try and pull her to him. She yelped as she tried to get away from him and I felt my anger get the best of me. No one deserved to be treated like that.

Everything went red as I stormed toward the shirtless guy and grabbed his arm forcefully. He grunted and I pushed him toward the door.

"Who the fuck do you think you are?!" I yelled loudly as I took a swing at him.

He stumbled back into the hallway and I could still hear the girl crying as she struggled to get her clothes back on. My fist collided with his face as he let out a loud yell. The guy pushed me away but I didn't stop, I couldn't. There was so much pent up anger and stress inside me from everything happening in my life and this encounter had been the breaking point. I went for him again, but this time I forced him through the door that led out to the rest of the house.

We tumbled to the floor and I felt his knuckles come into contact with my cheek. I winced and swung my arm up, knocking him in the side of the head and he instantly fell off me. People crowded around us, some egging us on while others yelled for us to stop. But I couldn't understand them, the only thing on my mind were the cries of the girl he had just tried to take advantage of. My fist came down hard against his face again as I pinned him to the wood floor.

"Calum, stop!" Mitchell's voice yelled over the sounds of other people's screams. "You're going to kill him!"
