"The world's ending in four days, and Five is nowhere to be found," Luther huffed. They've reached the Academy from their mission and was telling the rest about the news.

"Yeah, 'coz he's in the Commission so the agents wouldn't bother us while we try to stop it from happening," [Name] explained, looking at Luther pointedly.

"Did you not try and stop him from going, [Name]?" Vanya asked worriedly.

"As if I could! He's stubborn as a mule," she answered with a pout, crossing her arms.

"Yeah, sorry, I just–I thought maybe you could, you know? I don't really want him to disappear again and then come back when we're all dead.." Vanya muttered anxiously.

"Yeah, imagine.." the girl chuckled at the irony.

"What's funny?" Diego asked suspiciously.

"No, it's just.. Well, that's what happened when Five disappeared that first time, no?" She asked in confusion.

"That's what happened?" Allison sputtered in horror.

[Name] stared at all of them with a frown, expression morphing into surprise upon realizing they didn't grasp it the first time around. "When Five talked about the apocalypse, and.. he said about everybody dying, did you not..?"

Their expressions contorting from confusion into shock or horror would've been entertaining if it wasn't for the topic of their.. demise.

"We're gonna die?" Klaus squeaked.

"Can I die a second time?" Ben wondered aloud, albeit not as publicly with Klaus the only one who can hear him.

"He didn't mention that part," Diego added, jaw slackened.

"I thought it was obvious enough.." the girl trailed off, biting her lip as she looked at the floor guiltily.

There was silence from the rest as they processed this information, [Name] biting her lip in remorse as she tried to uplift their spirits. "Don't worry, it won't happen since a lot of things have been changing. Leonard isn't even in the picture anymore, so it should be fine."

"Do you know when Five will come back, then?" Vanya decided to ask, wanting to divert the topic elsewhere.

"That.. I honestly have no idea," the girl answered, pursing her lips. "I can't tell if he came back on the same day or the next. Though I vaguely recall that this whole fiasco happened with three days left, so you know?"

"And how many days do we have left again?"

"Four days, at the very least. Though I guess it'd be three given that it's currently night time."

"So what are we planning to do, then?" Klaus asked.

This was met by silence as the rest tried to form a plan, when suddenly, the sound of whooshing paired with what seems to be a blue lightning storm materialized, sputtering out Five's figure holding a briefcase.

"Jesus!" Allison said, surprised.

"Five!" [Name] exclaimed in worry as he rolled off the table, Luther and Allison proceeding to help him up whilst the boy gazed at each of them.

"I thought you were going to distract them? What happened to the plan?" She asked with a frown, looking him over in concern.

"Change of plans, got tired of them so I bombed the whole tube room alongside the briefcases. They should be out for a while," Five went straight towards the kitchen, the rest following along. "I need coffee."

"It's 10 pm," [Name] scoffed. The boy simply ignored her as he rummaged around the cupboard. "And there's no coffee, you should know that by now," she added.

He sighed loudly at this and turned towards them, "Dad's already gone! Why not buy some coffee?" He grunted, opting to make himself a sandwich instead as he grabbed the bread and peanut butter.

"How long were you there?" the girl thought to ask, frowning at his choice in meal. "I also feel like you could eat something else besides bread," she muttered in concern, sitting next to him.

"A full day," he decided to answer. The rest just staring pointedly at him, clearly waiting for additional explanation. "They probably wouldn't bother anybody for a while given that there aren't agents on the field besides Hazel and Cha-cha which means there aren't anymore briefcases apart from the two we currently have."

"Until they create more briefcases in their future and come back to the past which is our present just to stop whatever thing we did for the apocalypse," the girl cheerfully retorted. Five could only stare up at her in annoyance, not bothering with a reply as he continued eating.

"Well, at least they would be unavailable for now, although Hazel and Cha-cha are still with us, right? How do we handle them?" Luther asked.

"Got that covered, gave them an order to kill each other."

"Now that's just mean, I liked Hazel," [Name] tutted that Five, again, chose to ignore.

"So what now?" Klaus asked with a frown.

"Get some rest, control your abilities, and then make sure–" but cut herself off as [Name] noticed Five's pale complexion, seemingly having lost his appetite as he slumped on his chair. A memory of him being hit by glass as he covered his face using the briefcase manifested itself inside her mind.

"Oh my God, you dumbass! You could've just told us! C'mon, where's mom?" She asked, [Name] trying to get Five to stand up.

"What are you on about?" He asked, absolutely flabbergasted at her sudden agitation.

"You can't lie to me, I know you were hit by a glass when you blew up the briefcase room," she hissed as she hurriedly removed his coat and lifted his vest, breath hitching as she saw the blood coating his shirt.

"I'm fine."

"Uh-huh, come on," Allison uttered as she went on his other side to try and help Five walk faster.

"I can walk," Five tried to snap, but was only able to give the impression of a puppy barking with how weak he was getting. He tried to teleport away from them but clicked his tongue in disdain when the exhaustion of the whole day finally settled on him, keeping him from zapping away.

"Luther, can you carry him?" Allison asked as she looked up at the giant man.

"Sure–"

"I can walk." Five cut off, but had no more energy to remove his arm from both girl's grasps as they stubbornly refused to move away from him.

They entered the infirmary and saw that Grace already there, having heard the ruckus as she proceeded to remove the top left on Five, tutting upon seeing the injury.

"This already happened twice in just the same week, Five," his mom softly scolded as she began cleaning the wound.

"You're quite stubborn for someone of your age," [Name] clicked her tongue in disapproval that Five simply rolled his eyes at.

"Sometimes, I do forget that you're actually older than us due to how many times you get yourself injured," Allison scolded with an arched brow.

"This is nothing," Five waved them off, trying to get off the bed only to be stopped by a hand on his shoulder.

"Maybe nothing for your older body, but this is you in a younger body, Five. You're already quite scrawny for someone who's supposed to be sixteen," [Name] said exasperatedly as she easily maneuvered him to lay still.

"This body was in the apocalypse, of course it would be," he retorted, rolling his eyes but following as Grace gently told the other kids to move away, finally removing the glass stuck in his stomach.

"That's why you should eat more," Vanya commented softly. "Your sandwiches aren't enough for your body to grow strong."

"Please, I'm not a kid anymore," he scoffed, expression clearly not happy at being told off.

"Yeah, but you do act like one," Diego jest. The boy had no answer to this as he tried to fight off from reacting besides a grimace when Mom slowly but expertly pulled out the glass.

They all stuck around for a while when Grace was finally done, catching up on each other's lives or talking about the "good times", until one by one they each bade goodnight, forms slumping of exhaustion as the night grows older.

Till it's the two youngins left, [Name] scrunching her nose in disapproval at Five who was trying to up and leave. "Hey, no!" She scolded, pushing him back to the bed.

"What?" He asked irritatedly.

"You need to sleep, Five. Get your body some well needed rest," she replied, then smiling softly at Grace when she caught sight of the woman from her peripheral entering the room, Grace returning it and grabbing Five's ruined clothes to throw away, immediately leaving the duo to their own devices.

The boy attempted to glare at her that she simply paid no mind to, the girl finally able to stop his attempts from fleeing once he slumped back at the bed.

"I don't have time for rest, the apocalypse is in a few days," he gritted his teeth.

"What did I tell you about savouring the moment?" She tutted that he simply rolled his eyes on.

"What moment am I savouring this time?" He retorted.

"A good sleep, of course! When was the last time you had one, huh?" She challenged with an arched brow. But then, a teasing smile stretched her lips. "Or are you tryna savor the moment with me?" She giggled.

"As if," and rolled his eyes again.

"One of these days you're gonna roll your eyes and have it permanently stuck," she quipped. "But admit it, you like me!" She teased, poking his side, meaning it platonically. He averted his eyes, ears reddening as a small smile escaped his forced stoic expression.

"You do!" She laughed, "Knew I could make you fall to my charms." As she felt her heart beat a little faster than normal but choosing to simply disregard it.

"Yeah, yeah, shut up," he grumbled as he eventually looked back at her again, not able to help but return the smile upon seeing the obvious elation etched on the girl's face.

"Aw, we're friends now, aren't we? Right? Right?" She said as she repeatedly poked his side again whilst he tried to stifle a laugh, grabbing her hands to keep it still.

"Family friend," he decided instead, averting his eyes once again.

"Good enough for me," she returned, finally stopping her struggle on fighting him off and instead held his hands loosely while her lips turned into a much more gentle smile.

A comfortable silence overtook them as they gazed at each other, tender smiles in place.

She blinked first, shaking her head as she let his hands go. "Now come on, get some sleep. I don't think you would want to just drop dead while we're in the middle of something very important." She tried to bid, crossing her arms as she narrowed her eyes at him.

He huffed at this and looked away, "Okay fine." He said with a sigh of resignation, "Are you gonna leave me alone now?"

"Nah, I know you too well. I'm gonna wait here until you fall asleep," she said stubbornly, putting her elbow on the bed and her chin on her palm.

"Are you serious?" He asked in disbelief.

"Why of course!" She answered, raising her hands, palms up. "Seriously though, just get some damn sleep. It's not like we're not gonna wake you up if something happens." But then a thought came to her, body sagging as she tentatively asked, "Do you get nightmares?"

He once again averted his eyes, and it was enough of an answer, causing her to sigh inwardly, whole form slumping in sadness. She doesn't really know how to handle this. Of course, everybody has nightmares from time to time, but usually she could just wake up and know that what she'd seen were dreams, but with Five, it was a completely different story. His were nightmares that was once his reality.

But then she lit up upon that last thought. "You should know that it's not gonna happen again, Five." She started, voice gentle.

"You came back here to stop it and you will succeed. You wouldn't see this Earth we know turn into rubble again. Obviously, I know just because I said it can't mean that the nightmares would disappear just like that, but I could promise to you that as long as we're all here, and your siblings wouldn't be a bunch of dumbasses when the day finally comes," she tried to joke, being successful as a huff of laughter came from him. ".. then everything would be fine."

"Yeah, but they're always a bunch of dumbasses," he quipped, causing both to chuckle.

"Yeah I guess that is a problem," she replied with a smile. "But just, trust me– or heck, trust yourself! You came back here with absolute determination to save your family and our planet from ending up into a wasteland, you will do it if you put yourself into it. And you do! You've been planning for this most of your life, the chances of being unsuccessful is basically slim to none, especially now with me here too!" She added with a proud smile, pointing at herself that he shook his head at, a smile now more pronounced on the boy's face causing hers to widen. It's rare to see him show emotions that are actually positive without immediately going back to his scowling facr, and she likes to think it's a start.
