❛ until the end of the world ❜
Sunlight streamed through the window, drowning the whole room in brightness.
Hestia groaned slightly, the sunlight getting in her eyes, causing her to flutter them open. She blinked a couple of times and attempted to get up in order to cover the windows.
The arm around her waist tightened and pulled her down.
"Don't go." Bucky mumbled sleepily, his head burrowed in her neck, his lips placing small kisses.
Hestia sighed as she turned to face him, causing Bucky to open his eyes. "I just wanna cover up the windows, the sunlight is annoying."
Bucky brushed a stray strand of her hair from her cheek then put his hand on the back of her neck, rubbing it gently. "You should be happy the sun is making an appearance in winter."
"The sun can piss off." Hestia grumbled and screwed her eyes shut, only opening them when Bucky kissed her firmly on the lips.
"Let me see your eyes, pretty girl." he murmured gently and smiled when she fluttered them open. He leaned towards her again, kissing her fondly as she kissed him back.
Suddenly, he was on top of her, his metal hand next to her head in order to support himself while his right hand was on her hip. Bucky kissed her again, longing to feel her against him again.
Hestia's small chuckle turned into a quiet moan when Bucky kissed her neck, his right arm lowering to her thigh. "Lift up your hips for me, doll."
"Not fair." Hestia muttered, a flush covering her face. "I'm already sore from last night."
"You should know by now that I don't play fair."
━━━━━━━
Hestia traced patterns on Bucky's bare chest, his own metal hand tracing patterns on her hip. There was a comfortable silence in the room, only the sound of their breath being heard.
Bucky turned slightly and looked at the clock, his eyes widening a little. He turned to Hestia and kissed her head, prompting her to look up at him.
"Get dressed, doll. I have a suprise for you."
Hestia's eyebrows furrowed as she watched Bucky stand up, the covers slipping to his waist as he started getting dressed. "Where are we going?" she asked as she got up as well and startes putting some clothes on.
Bucky faced her with a smile. "Ice skating."
"Ice skating?" Hestia raised an eyebrow to make sure she heard him right and when he nodded his head, she sighed with a slight smile. "You don't even know how to skate."
Bucky shrugged, putting a black turtle neck on. "Doesn't matter. Now get dressed."
Hestia looked at him for a second before she shook her head and started getting dresses in some warm clothes. Bucky was leaning on the wall next to the front door when Hestia finally emerged from their room.
He scanned her from head to toe and gave her a firm kiss before grabbing a hat and securing it on her head. Hestia smiled at him before she got on her snow boots and her jacket before grabbing their skates from underneath a table. Even if Bucky couldn't skate, that didn't mean he shouldn't have a pair.
Bucky grabbed her hand, his own smile a little nervous as they left their apartment and walked towards the rink.

"You okay, Buck?" Hestia asked as she squeezed his metal hand slightly, causing him to look down at her.
"I'm fine, trust me."
Hestia's eyebrows were furrowed in concern but they were already at the rink before she could ask him.
There were few people because of the dense snow but the ice looked serene, an ocean blue. Hestia compared it to Bucky's eyes, they were the brightest and most enchanting blue she had ever seen.
The two put on their skates as Hestia got up first and grabbed Bucky's hand, guiding him after her. "Come on, you grandpa. Let's hope you don't break a hip."
"Hey!" Bucky whined as he glided slowly after her.
Hestia grinned as she let go of his hand, her eyes closing slightly as she spun around on the ice. The freezing air nipped at her ears and nose but it felt nice, it felt right.
Hestia stopped spinning and faced Bucky with a smile only for it to drop and for her eyes to widen.
Bucky was on one knee, a red velvet box in his hands. "Hestia-"
Bucky slipped, successfully pulling Hestia with him as they landed on the ice with a small thump. They were on their sides as Hestia smiled.
"Yes."
Bucky shook his head. "No, no, I need to ask you. That's how it's done."
"Then ask me." Hestia stated breathlessly as they sat up a little so they would be sitting on the ice.
Bucky grinned. "Hestia, the moment you came into my life, I knew everything would change for the better. It wasn't just because you were basically chasing me to get my ass out of jail-" the two laughed slightly. "It was because of your spirit. I love every single thing about you, I love how you scrunch your nose when you laugh, I love how you're always blunt, I love how you can't breathe when you laugh, I love every single fucking thing about you."
"I want to live the rest of my life with you, I want to wake up next to you, I want us to cook breakfast together and fail miserably, I want to start a family with you, I want to laugh with you, I want you."
"Hestia Flynn, I am in love with you and I'm asking you to marry me."
Tears spilled down Hestia's cheeks as she nodded fervently. "Yes, yes, yes, a million times yes." she rushed out as she put her hands on his face and brought him in a passionate kiss.
She laughed into the kiss and Bucky laughed too, his heart floating. He was hers, she was his and nothing could change that.
"Hestia," Bucky interrupted her gently as he grabbed her hands in his and slipped the ring on her finger, the diamond on it glinting from the sun. "I love you so much."
Hestia laughed and sobbed, she didn't know which was which anymore as she put her hands around him, feeling his lips on her hair. "I love you, I love you, I love you."
A shout was heard and the two broke apart slightly as they looked towards the sound.
Sam was jumping up and down from behind a tree, a camera in his hand, a big grin on his face. "I shipped it since the first day, people!"

━━━━━━━
The flowers were clenched tightly in Hestia's hands, her arms shaking from nerves and excitement. The veil on her head didn't allow her to see things clearly, but she knew the second the door in front of her opened, a new part of her life would start. A life with him.
Her white dress was hugging her waist tightly, the back having a slit that went to her lower back. There were layers to her dress and she felt like a princess. The back of it trailed a little behind her when she walked, and she begged every living thing that she wouldn't trip on it. Her hair was pinned up, multiple flowers braided into it.
"Are you ready?"
Hestia looked to her right where Isaiah stood in a suit, something she hadn't seen him in before. The suit was a light color, considering Hestia and Bucky had a spring wedding. They wanted to keep it light and simple, and the guests were forced - politely asked, as Hestia calls it - to wear a light color. The only exception was Bucky, who Hestia assumed was wearing a black suit.
"I'm nervous." Hestia stated. She didn't usually act like this, but this was the first time - and hopefully the last time - she got married.
Isaiah smiled gently, a fatherly look on his face. In the past two years since he was recognized as a hero, not only did Sam and Bucky form a better relationship with Isaiah but also Hestia. Having lost her father in the war, Isaiah became sort of a father figure who she could count on. That didn't mean he wasn't harsh, but Hestia wouldn't have it any other way.
"And that's completely normal." he said as he offered her his arm. Hestia took it, a deep breath leaving her lips. "You're getting married, it's something beautiful. Trust me, the moment you go through those doors, every nerve will melt away."
Hestia looked at Isaiah as she squeezed his arm. "Thank you, Isaiah."
He gave her a warm smile.
And then the doors opened.
The soft melody started playing as everyone in the church stood up and looked towards Hestia. She walked forward with Isaiah on her side, her gaze on her feet in order not to trip before she lifted it.
Her breath caught in her throat as she looked at Bucky who was smiling, tears streaming down his cheeks like a waterfall. He was wearing a black suit, his metal hand not covered by a glove anymore, his back straight as he looked at her. Sam was next to him as a groomsman, along with Peter, Harley and Thor. On Hestia's side, Wanda, Shuri, Carol and a small and adorable Morgan were all smiling at her.
Flower petals rained down from above, making the scene look ethereal.
Isaiah let go of Hestia's arm as he gave it to Bucky who gave a small smile to him before he looked at Hestia who came to stand before him. "You look breathtaking."
"You don't look too bad yourself." Hestia teased him, smiling when he grinned.
When it came down to their vows, Bucky went first, his voice wavering. "Hestia, there aren't enough words that could describe the amount of love I have for you. I remember how scared I was to kiss you or to tell you how I feel, and I remember being so scared that you would never want to be with me. You're everything to me and I love you so much."
Bucky sniffled as Hestia wiped a tear, chuckling as she did. "Damn, I'm ruining my makeup for you, Buck. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love you and your stupid, beautiful face-" chuckles were heard through the church. "Believe it or not, I wanted to kiss you but I would've rather jumped off a roof before I kissed you first. You're the most idiotic but smart person I know - and that's saying something since I know Sam. I love you so much and I could never imagine a life without you in it."
Bucky laughed, tears streaming down his face and Hestia could only guess she looked the same. The priest smiled slightly as he looked at them and asked them to repeat after him.
"I, Hestia Flynn take you, James Barnes, to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part."
Bucky grinned. "I, James Barnes, take you, Hestia Flynn, to be my lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part."
The priest smiled once again. "I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Cheering was heard in the church as Bucky put his metal hand on her lower back and dipped Hestia, kissing her passionately. She smiled into the kiss and so did he.
As they ran back down the isle, Hestia looked at the empty bench in the church. They reserved those spots for Tony, Steve, Nat, Pietro and Vision. It took everything for her not to tear up when she thought of them.
The wedding reception was beautiful and it was outdoors, multiple cherry blossom trees spread across the land.
Hestia had hit Sam over the head way too many times when he made the suggestion to make a little kid as soon as possible. Hestia grinned when he always yelled after her, calling her a mean woman but a smile always pulling at his lips.
And when they had their first dance as a married couple, Hestia felt ethereal. She felt like she was on cloud nine, wrapped in Bucky's arms, tight against his chest as they swayed to the slow song.
"I love you, Bucky Barnes." she had said when she looked up at him.
And Bucky had grinned as he kissed her. "And I love you, Hestia Barnes."
And Hestia knew that she would defy the stars, the moon, the Gods for him. And he would destroy them all for her.
He was hers and she was his, until the end of the world and whatever came after.
