Jake's POV

"Hey Izz, is your toe feeling any better yet?" I asked her, as it's been a week since she fractured it but somehow it hasn't been healing well. I think that's a bit weird. It should've been healing a bit by now. I sat next to her, on her bed.

"No. It still feels the same, as it did since last week." She says, with a sigh. We placed a cushion underneath her foot, with her promting up her leg. She leans her head onto her pillow.

"Are you sure, you haven't been getting out of bed?" I asked her, as knowing her...you can tell her not to do something and she will do it. She shook her head, a bit too fast. I gave her a suspicious look.

"No, I have not been getting out of bed." She says, I wasn't sure if she was lying or not. Cubby came in to the room, also asked her the same thing that I asked her. She shook her head to him.

"Maybe we should take you to the hospital. It may need to be checked out." Cubby suggested. I agreed with him. Izzy shook her head.

"I don't want to go there. I don't want to be lying in one of those hospital beds." Izzy exclaims. I put my arm around her.

"Izz, we're just taking you there, to get your toe checked out." I say. Cubby grabbed her boots. She puts them on, being careful with her fractured toe. We helped her to walk throughout the hideout and onto Bucky. He sets sail to Neverland. We jumped off of Bucky, as soon as we reached Neverland. We helped her walk through Neverland, as Cubby leaded us to the hospital. We walked over to the receptionist and asked her, if Izzy could have a checkup on her toe. She told us to sit in the waiting room until Izzy's name was called out. We sat in the waiting room, me and Cubby sat beside Izzy.

"Isabella Green?"

"Who's Isabella??" Cubby asked me. Izzy tried to hide her head, as soon as she heard that name. "Me..." Izzy says. I knew her full name was Isabella, apparently Cubby didn't. Cubby kind of felt bad for not knowing, Izzy told him not to feel bad for it, as she wished she didn't know it herself. The doctor came over, with a wheelchair for Izzy. She refused to sit in it but I made her sit in it. She gave in and sat in it. The doctor began to wheel her to his doctor's office room. Me and Cubby were right beside her. As we entered the doctor stopped the wheelchair, by his desk. Me and Cubby stood beside her.

"What seems to be the problem with your toe? And which toe is it?" The doctor asked her.

"It's my big toe on my right foot." Izzy says. She also gave me a look to explain it to him for her. I nodded and carried on for her.

"Well, a week ago we found out that we could fly forever how much we want. Me and Cubby took off running but Izzy tripped over a rock which made her fall over. We asked her, if she was okay but being stubborn as she is, she didn't tell us that she think she did something to her toe but she told us at the end but we figured she fractured it by walking and running on it." I explained to him. I looked at her, when I said the being stubborn. She is stubborn. She nervously smiled at me, when I said that.

"Annd she says that it's not getting any better." Cubby added on. The doctor stood up from his chair and motioned for us to come to the check up bed. I helped Izzy out of the wheelchair, and onto the bed. He carefully took off her boot, and carefully unwrapped her banadge off her toe. I have to be honest, it looked worst than last week, when she fractured it. It was purple, and looked a bit bruised. And a bone was nearly sticking out. We (apart from Izzy) gasped at what we saw. We looked at her, with our arms folded, and a look like 'tell us the truth'. She sighed and told us.

"Okay...I may have gotten out of bed, when you guys weren't around." She says. I shooked my head at her, as the doctor took a serious look at her toe. She looked up at the ceiling as she was lying down, as her hands were on her stomach.

"It looks like we will have to place it back into place." The doctor says. Wait what??

"Say what now??" Izzy exclaims.

"But it will look like it will require surgery." The doctor says. We let down our arms, while Izzy stared at him shocked. She's never had surgery before. I know that it was going to be kind of a risk but I didn't know that surgery would be required. Izzy was fidling with her fingers. We were all in shocked while looking at Izzy. She must be in even more shock than I am, as I'm not the one getting surgery on my big toe. I'm more worried than I've ever been in my life. I should've been with her all the time and looking after her but no, I left our bedroom without anyone in there with her which caused her to get out of bed. Starting from now, if anything like this happens again, I'm going to make sure that I can see right through her lying. It's just that I care about her loads, I hate when this kind of stuff happens to her.

"S-s-s-s-surgery...? D-d-d-do I-I-I h-h-have t-to?" Izzy stammered as she asked the doctor, and I swear I could see tears coming to her eyes. I know she's very scared to have surgery. She hates going to hospitals, as she doesn't like the hospital beds even though, she's never been in one, it's just thought of lying in one.

"Well, it is your choice as I will leave it with youse. If you do choose to have surgery, it will be today and you will have a little bit of physiotherapy after today." The doctor exclaimed, as she's got a choice, to have the surgery or not. Well, if I was her, I would just go with the option of having surgery, sure I'd be scared as I haven't had surgery, either but I would want to be on the safe side.

"...but what if I don't?" Izzy asked him, nervously.

"Then you'd be using crutches for the rest of your life as you wouldn't be able to walk properly." The doctor says. I sat down next to her, as I put my arms around her shoulders.

"Well...Izzy, what are you going to choose?" Cubby asked her.

"I do want my toe to feel better but I also don't want to have surgery. I'm afraid of waking up during it." Izzy says, as she looked at Cubby. I know this is freaking her out.

"But Izzy, if you don't take the surgery. Then you will be using crutches for the rest of your life." I exclaimed, with concern. I know she's afraid of waking up during it but this is for her own good.

"I know Jake..." Izzy says, with a sigh.

"This wouldn't even happen, if you didn't get out of bed." Cubby exclaimed, as he folded his arms with annoyed look on his face.

"I know guys, I'm really sorry for getting out of bed, when you guys told me not too." Izzy exclaimed, while she was really sorry. It's not her fault. It's our fault, we should've stayed with her while she was still recovering.

"Izz, it's not your fault. It's our fault, at least one of us should've stayed with you while you were still recovering. We know how stubborn you can get." I exclaimed, as I brought her into a hug while she hid her head into my shoulder.

"Guys..." Izzy says, as she lifted her head from my shoulder, as I let go of her but kept my hand on her shoulder. "I think I will go with the option of having surgery." She says, with a sigh.

"Are you sure, Izz?" I asked her, she nodded with a small smile.

"Yeah, I'm sure. You're right, if I don't take the surgery then I would be stuck with crutches for the rest of my life." Izzy says. The doctor came in, to make sure that Izzy has made a decision.

"So Isabella, what do you choose?" The doctor asked her.

"I choose to have the surgery." Izzy says, as I rubbed her shoulder.

"That's a well made decision. Now, here's the paperwork. Who will sign it?" The doctor asked us.

"I'll sign the paperwork, how much paperwork do I have to sign?" I asked him. He gave me about five sheets of paperwork. Well, this is just lovely...just lovely.

"Sorry Jake." Izzy says.

"It's alright Izz and I offered to fill in your paperwork." I say, before the doctor urged us out of the room, so they can prepare Izzy for surgery. I just hope the surgery goes alright for her.

Izzy's POV

The doctor helped me into the wheelchair, once Jake, Cubby, and Skully were gone. I just slumped down in the wheelchair while sighing as I leaned my head into the wheelchair. So, this is what it's like to be pushed around in a wheelchair. I always wanted to be pushed around in a wheelchair, so I wouldn't have to walk but I don't like it. It sucks and I just want to walk again. I guess this is my punishment. I saw the doctor pushing me towards the x-ray room, probably to get an x-ray of my big toe. He opened the door, and spoke to one of the nurses. One of the nurses came over and helped me out of the wheelchair. She helped me walk with her arm around mine, as I limped over to the x-ray table. She helped me sit on it while I lied down on it. I kept on my hands at my sides while lying on the cold and hard table. I got to admit I did have a comfy pillow to lie my head on.

The doctor came over to me and puts this kind of silver apron on my shoulders and chest.

"Okay Isabella. We need to take an x-ray of your big toe, so we can progess the healing of it." The doctor says, while I nodded my head, nervous. "Okay, so you need to lift your leg up, so we can take an x-ray of it." He says as he took hold of my leg, as he lifted it up. Oh boy, my leg's going to get tired in a minute. They took the x-ray as I put my leg down. He came back over with the wheelchair, as he helped me sit down on it again. He was taking me to my hospital room. I feel like my worst nightmare came true, lying in one of those hospital beds and having surgery but I chosed it, as I wouldn't want to be stuck with crutches all my life. He pushed me into my hospital room and set my wheelchair near the hospital bed, I was going to lie in. I so hate the hospital. All I want is Jake by my side, he can make me feel better about anything. I just want to be in his arms right now.

The doctor left the room to get Jake, Cubby, and Skully, who are probably worrying about me. The nurses stayed so they can help me get changed from my clothes into a ugly and disgusting hospital gown. They're too uncomfortable for me, okay and now it's rubbing against my skin. I layed down into my hospital bed while covering my face into my pillow. All of a sudden, I heard the door open and it was Jake, Cubby, and Skully. Jake came over to me and sat down next to me, on my hospital bed.

"Are you okay?" Jake asked me, with a concerned look on his face. I started to feel tears coming to my eyes. I couldn't help it as I wrapped my arms around Jake and started to cry into his chest. I didn't care if Cubby and Skully were in the room. I just need Jake, holding me.

Jake's POV

"Are you okay?" I asked Izzy, with a concerned look on my face. All of a sudden, Izzy threw her arms around me and started to cry into my chest. I was shocked but I wrapped my arms around her while bringing her close to me. I was rubbing her back while quietly shhing her. This is her first surgery. So of course, she will react like this.

"Shh...shh...shh...it's going to be alright Izz." I say, softly.

"What if it won't? What if something goes wrong??" She asked me, as she muffled into my chest.

"Nothing will go wrong, Izz. When you wake up, we will be right beside you." I say, softly. She lifted her head up from my chest, she had tear stains all over her face and there are tear stains on my shirt, now but I don't care, if this was the only way that could make Izzy feel better then I don't care if there tear stains on my shirt.

"Thanks Jake. Did you fill in the paperwork for my surgery?" She asked me, as she wiped my eyes. I put the paperwork by her feet on the hospital bed. I got up from my spot on her hospital bed and got the paperwork and sat down in a chair next to her hospital bed.

"Well, I only signed one page of the paperwork and I know you're going to hate me for this but I had to use your full name for your name." I exclaimed, as her full name is Isabella Rose Green, she doesn't mind her middle name, Rose but she hates her first name.

"I don't care, I suppose surgery and you using my full name is my punishment for not staying in bed." Izzy says, as she shifted her eyes to the right. I sighed, I'm not punishing her but it will give her a good lesson about not getting out of bed when she's injured or sick.

"Izz, I'm not punishing you as I said before one of us should have stayed with you while you were in bed. Are you afraid of having this surgery?" I asked her, as it just came across my mind. She looked at me, as she sat up on her hospital bed.

"Yeah, I'm scared...I'm scared that my toe may never heal and I'm very scared that I might wake up during the surgery." Izzy exclaimed, as she looked down at her hands while twidling with her fingers. I know she won't wake up during the surgery as I know she will be under general anesthesia, so she will be knocked out until she wakes up from her surgery, when we will be right by her side.

"Izz, you won't wake up during your surgery as you will be knocked out with a strong general anesthesia." I say, as I sat on her hospital bed while putting my hand underneath her chin and bringing her head up a bit to look at me.

"And besides, when you wake up, you'll be back with us, but I think you won't even remember falling asleep, to be honest." Cubby says.

"I think I'm starting to feel a little better about it but I'm still a little nervous." Izzy says. I think it's normal to feel a little nervous. I would be feeling a little nervous if I was her.

"Izz, it's normal to feel a little nervous but once you go into that operating room, try and be brave like you always have been." I exclaimed, as I gave her a hug, she hugged me back. We heard the door open and it was the doctor, and another doctor but wearing operating clothes.

"Hello Isabella, your surgery will start in three hours. This is your surgeon, he will explain what will happen during your surgery." The doctor says, as I sat back down in the chair next to Izzy while taking her hand into mine. Cubby stood by Izzy on the other side of her hospital bed while putting his hand on the bed. Skully perched himself on Izzy's pillow. The surgeon walked over to us and sat on the end of Izzy's hospital bed.

"Hello, I am your surgeon, so I will be performing your surgery. Your surgery will last for two hours. I will be bring the bones back together in your toe. Have you guys got any questions?" The surgeon asked us. I don't have any as I know Izzy will make it through it like the warrior she is.

"I have. Will the surgery go right?" Izzy asked him.

"Yes, the surgery will go right. I will make marks on your big toe." The surgeon says, as he pulled out a marker for skin, he pulled the blanket back from her right foot. He began to make marks on her big toe, to where he will operate on.

"Okay that's it from me. I will see you in the operating room." The surgeon says mostly to Izzy, before he left the room.

"Izz, are you feeling better about your surgery?" I asked her, as she turned her head around to me, while resting her head on her pillow.

"A little better...ugh, this hospital gown is annoying and rubbing against me." Izzy groaned, as she pulled onto her hospital gown. I grabbed hold of her wrist, so she could stop doing that.

"Izz, you need to stop doing that. You have to wear the hospital gown for medical reasons." I say, as she groaned. We heard the door open, and it was the doctor.

"Hello, I am here to check on Isabella. I need to do a check up on her." The doctor says. I sit back in the chair while Cubby stood beside me. He first started off with her bloodpressure. He then checked her reflexes and she had to sit over the bed, to check the reflexes in her knees. She layed back down in her hospital bed, as he took her temperture. I leaned over to stroke her forehead while she looked at me. Her check up went well.

"Oh Isabella, needs to have a hospital wristband on." The doctor says, as he pulled a hospital wristband out of his pocket. Izzy held out her left wrist for him to put it on her wrist. He put the hospital wristband on her wrist.

"In an hour, Isabella will need to have a blood test." The doctor says before he left the room. Izzy began to look scared again, as she pulled the blanket up to her face while clutching onto it. I could see the worry in her eyes.

"Izz, there's no need to be afraid." I say, as I took hold of her hand.

"But Jake, blood tests are with needles and you know how much I hate needles." Izzy says, as she layed against her pillow. She had a bad experience with them, when she was younger.

"I know Izz but I will hold your hand and you can squeeze onto it as much as you can." I exclaimed, as I moved a strand of hair out of her face. She smiled just a bit.

"Thanks Jake. You're the best." Izzy says, with a smile on her face. I sat on her hospital bed and brought her into my arms. One hour later, Izzy was ready to have her blood test. Izzy looked at me, as I was holding her hand. They were setting everything up. I give her hand a reassuring squeeze, as I looked at her with a reassuring smile on my face. I was sitting down in the chair next to her hospital bed. I need to distract her from the needle that will go into her arm. I think if she looks away or gets distracted, she will not feel it. The nurse was about to get ready to put the needle into Izzy's arm as she tied like this rubber around Izzy's elbow. Izzy kept on looking at it. I know, I will stroke her face.

"Hey Izz, you look beautiful today." I say, as my thumb stroke her forehead, this made her look at me.

"No I don't. I look ugly with this hospital gown on me." Izzy says, as she nearly looked at her hospital gown but I put my other hand on her face, which made her look at me. The nurse puts the needle into her arm.

"Izz, you never look ugly. You've always look beautiful like the most beautifullest girl in the world." I exclaimed, as I looked at her with a smile on my face.

"Thanks Jake. Hey, what is this needle doing in me?" Izzy asked me.

"Yeah, you're having your blood test and I was trying to distract you from the needle going into your arm." I exclaimed.

"Well, it worked as I didn't feel the needle going into my arm, so thanks." Izzy says. The blood test only lasted for two minutes. The nurse took the needle out of Izzy's arm while putting a cotton bud on her elbow while putting a clear plaster over it. The nurse left us. I hugged her, as she weakly wrapped her arms around me.

"That was really brave Izz." I say, as I rubbed her back.

"Thanks Jake...all that's left is the surgery, I'm really nervous now as it's in two hours." Izzy says, as she hid her head in my chest.

"Izz, don't be afraid. I know you will make it through, as you're Izzy, you will battle through it." I say, as I sat on her hospital bed while embracing her in my arms.

"Really?" She asked me.

"Yeah, and I heard that once you breathe in the general anesthesia, you're out like light." I say. Izzy is almost the first one to fall asleep since she wakes up before us, so she will be out like a light. I remember one time we were watching a movie and Izzy was in the middle of me and Cubby, and in the middle of the movie, Izzy fell asleep.

"Really and what else?" She asked me.

"And before you know it, you'll be waking up in the recovery room, it will feel like you only went to sleep for a second." I exclaimed.
