《His Unexpected Gang》29| I know how to hide a dead body.

I'm waiting for Ashton to pick me up for the concert when I hear the doorbell ring. I quickly grab my bag and run down the stairs.
I open the door and smile when I see Ashton. "Damn... My girl is gonna break a lot of hearts tonight." He says, admiring my outfit.
"You look hot as usual, so I don't need to compliment you," I say as he wraps his arms around my waist.
"You just did." He says, chuckling.
I playfully glare at him and gently press my lips against his. I pull away and say, "I don't want to get too much lipstick on you."
"I don't mind." He says with a boyish grin.
When we get inside his car, we blast AJR music, and we keep the windows down. While we're screaming the lyrics at the top of our lungs, I oddly get a sense of nostalgia from this moment.
When we get into the venue, we show our tickets, and I immediately grab Ashton's hand to get in line for merch. "I am buying you merch since this is your favorite band," I say excitedly.
His eyes widen in surprise, and he says, "Lynn... That's too much. Let me buy you merch and call it even. You know I'm going to buy more than a shirt."
"Request denied. This is your birthday gift! Concert tickets include merch." I say, squeezing his hand.
"Are you sure? Seeing them live is enough for me." He says, reassuring that it's not necessary.
"Yep. And technically, it's cheaper to buy now instead of paying for shipping online." I say with persuasion.
"I love you." He says sincerely. "You've made my 18th the best birthday ever."
"I love you too. You make me really happy, and sometimes I feel like I don't express that enough. I'm glad you moved here, and I really like being your girlfriend." I admit.

He leans down to kiss me and wraps his arms around my waist. "You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I didn't think moving would get me to my soulmate." He says.
I hold onto Ashton's muscular arm until we make it to the front, and I let him pick out his merch. He buys two shirts, a sweatshirt, and a signed poster. I ask for the shirt with your dates and hand them my card.
"Thank you again, Lynn." He says with the cutest smile.
I peck his lips, and he grabs the bag of merch. We squeeze toward the front of the stage and stand beside a group of girls. They all seem to be college students and definitely pregamed a little too much. They're screaming, and it's not even to the song playing while we wait for the opener.
One of them turns in our direction and looks Ashton up and down. "Hot damn!" She says.
She's about to fucking hug him when Ashton steps away from her. He tightens his hold on my waist and says, "Fuck off."
"Is this bitch your girlfriend?" She asks, looking me up and down.
"Watch your mouth," Ashton says seriously.
"I know how to hide a dead body," I say, glaring at her.
She rolls her eyes, not believing me, and says, "You're missing out." She moves back to her group of friends, but not without winking at Ashton.
I pull away from Ashton, but he pulls me back into his chest. "What are you going to do?" He asks into my ear.
"I'm going to accidentally stab a bitch." I say, reaching down for the knife I keep in my shoe.
Ashton grabs my hand and kisses my knuckles. He pulls us further away from that ugly ass bitch, and wraps his arms around my waist. Half the reason is that he wants to hold me, and the other half is to restrain me.

"You and I both know I'm not missing out on anything. I already have my everything in front of me." He says. I grin at his words and turn around to kiss him.
Midway through the concert, I see the same girl walking towards us with a drink in her hand.
When she comes closer, she places the drink on the wall's ledge, but I see her try to drop the drink on me. Without thinking, I kick the drink in her direction.
"Bye bitch." I say, shooing her.
She's in shock and stutters, "F-fuck you."
Ashton holds in a laugh and says, "I think you should go back to your group of hoes." She turns to leave, and we continue to enjoy the concert.
When it's time to go, I spot the group the bitch is with. Ashton grabs my wrist and says, "Behave."
"I'm not going to kill her," I say as he lets me go. I shoulder-check her and step on her foot.
Ashton and I exit the building and head toward his car. "Thanks for using the other ticket on me," I say, smiling.
"There's no one else I would have wanted to go with." He says, grinning.
"Do you want to get ice cream as a late-night snack?" I ask.
"Yes, but I'm paying." He says, opening my car door for me.
"If you insist." I sigh with a grin.

Hello ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to my first attempt at writing a novel. I am preparing to participate in the 2017 NaNoWriMo event so enjoy the first chapter as that's here early only to ensure that I have a place to post once the event starts. This means the first novel/book will have a target of 50,000 words. I'm excited to attempt this challenge despite the hurdles I will have to overcome. I do have a demanding full time job so planning time to write and make weekly releases starting in November will be my biggest challenge. Also, please accept my apologies on my cover. I'm not an artist and the only digital tool available at my disposal is the stock microsoft paint. So I did my best to create a decent cover as I did not want to steal the work of another. If there are those interested by the end of November in donating a new fan made cover then I will look into replacing the old cover.

Infested
One billion people from one hundred thousand universes have been dropped onto a singular planet five times larger than Earth. In the corner of their eye were three numbers: 1,000,000,000. 15. 10. Nobody could figure out what it meant until fifteen years after the initial transportation, as out of the blue, a message repeated itself in their minds for twenty-four hours. “Only ten can return. The rest will die. There is no time limit,” Following the global message, genocides ran rampant, with established friendships broken, families ripped apart, blood alliances betrayed, and leaders felled in seconds. How? [The Evgnomon] The Beholden; hidden throughout the realm were artefacts: weapons, information, tools from beings and societies of a higher plane. It was up to the humans to scour the land and take them by hook or by crook if they ever wished to go back. Whisked into this world as a mere babe, I suppose it was lucky I didn’t die in the chaos. But as I stare into the rotten, tattered pages of the accursed book laid upon the pedestal in front of me; and the unnerving gaze of our professor trained onto the back of my head silently pressuring me to become the avatar of grotesques unspeakable and undecipherable to the human mind. O, how I wish I did...
