The cars were packed up, and we were on our way. Ashley was in the back seat, while I sat in the passenger's seat In Damien's car. "T you're going to love the beach! It's so beautiful!" She squealed, causing Damien to cringe slightly.

We had been driving through back roads for almost an hour. Xavier was following us and I could tell he was getting annoyed with Alex. Emily was too, she kept texting S.O.S to Ashley and I. My fingers slowly pressed the buttons for the radio, changing the station until I found a good song.

"I love this song!" Ashley and I both cheered, letting out screams. We both started to sing along, loud laughs coming from both of us.

"The night is still young!" Ashley sang out making me laugh even harder. Damien even cracked a smile at us. I was dancing in my seat, singing as loud as I could with Ashley.

I could hear Damien laughing at this point. My eyes turning to look at him with a smile, as he glanced at me over his sunglasses, a hint of a smile playing on his lips.

I didn't even notice the trees starting to become less and less packed together. "We're here," Damien called, making Ashley and I cheer. I rolled down my window with an excited smile, sticking most of my torso out to watch the beach come into view. It was beautiful, the entire scene of it all. The sky was a pink and blue color making the water look lighter as the waves crashed onto the shore.

"Wow," Was all I could breathe out as Damien parked his car. He chuckled at my amazement before turning the car off. Ashley was already out of the car, letting out small yells as she jumped up and down. I let out a loud laugh, my body getting out as well.

Xavier and Emily were already out of their car while Alex was pulling things out of the trunk. Damien went to the trunk of his car and I followed, grabbing my backpack and a couple chairs. Ashley grabbed her belongings as well, throwing them over her shoulder.

When we all were loaded up with the gear we started for the sand. I went running with Emily and Ashley, letting out loud laughs. "Let's stop here!" Ashley yelled, throwing her bags on the ground. I agreed, dropping the chairs. I let out a loud yell, throwing my shirt off. Damien and the boys set the coolers down, while Emily turned on a speaker for music.

Ashley grabbed my hand, running closer to the water. I let out a small squeal in excitement as I stuck my toe in the cold water. Ashley went deeper in the water than I did, splashing me.

I ran back out of the water screaming at how cold it was. Damien was already sitting in a chair with Xavier, both of them holding beers. I ran back to the chairs, watching Damien laugh at me.

Emily handed me a bottle that had a coconut on it, "what the hell is this?" I questioned watching everyone freeze and stare at me. "Do you not drink?" Alex laughed, changing the music. I shook my head, holding the almost liter bottle up. "It's vodka, princess. Drink up." Damien smirked, making me open the bottle and take a sniff.

I scrunched my face up in disgust before taking a sip of it. "Ugh!" I breathed out, my hand covering my mouth.

"That's disgusting!"

Do I know what I am doing?

Nope. Not a clue.

It was pretty late at night and the boys had started a fire while I walked aimlessly around the water holding a half empty bottle of coconut vodka.

Was it delicious now?

oh yes.

Was I the only one that might be drunk?

Nope. Emily fell over air ten minutes ago and Ashley is trying to help her find the air that hurt her. I might be out of it, but it was hilarious.

"Why are you being a loner?" Damien asked, making me turn to him. I dug my toes into the wet sand and shrugged, "I'm just used to being alone." I slightly slurred out. He dug his hands into his pockets as he stood beside me. "you know being alone isn't a good thing," he laughed.

He had no idea, but lonely was my best friend. I could deal with being alone.

"I use to be with my brother all the time, but he's dead," I whispered, his body quickly turning to me. I casually shrugged before taking a small sip of my drink. "I was bullied at school, half my family is gone, and the one parents I have alive is barely there." I played with the rim of the bottle with a small sigh.

"I'm sorry."

"I don't need an apology. Everything is getting better now. Something about this place is lucky." I smiled, watching him for a moment before looking at Ashley yell at the air. A small laugh fell out of my mouth before I went back to Damien.

"You know, if you weren't a butthole times a thousand I would probably admit that you're a cutie." I slurred out, watching him laugh as my eyes widen.

I. Did. Not.

"Someone's a bit confident now." He chuckled, watching me nod my head. "Just don't say anything," I whispered, my cheeks turning a bright red.

I'm going to regret my existence tomorrow.

I started back to the group, looking at Xavier who was attempting to calm Emily down.

"Why do you call me a little flower?" I questioned, glancing at the schools bad boy. He walked beside me, giving me a small smile, "When I first met you, you looked so fragile. You were a stuttering mess, but you weren't slow to comment." He started, making me roll my eyes. "Flowers are beautiful, fragile things, like you. They strive and live through the toughest conditions and sometimes they might get a little broken along the wa-" I shook my head, stopping him. A small smile was on my face as I turned to him, "I like it."

"Hey, you two love birds." Ashley cooed, wiggling her eyebrows with her lips pursed out. Her hands reached out to pinch my cheeks as I slapped them away. "You have cooties, Ashley," I whined out, trying to keep her hands from me.

"Oh no." She cried, turning to Emily who was running up to us. "Em don't touch me, I have cooties." She cried out, making Emily's eyes widen. Emily stuck her arms out to her but Ashley let out a scream, trying to run away her. "I'll get cooties from you, Ash. I love you!" She cooed, a wicked smile on her face as she chased after her.

"I think it might be time for bed," Alex called, his eyes nervously watching Ashley. She had somehow managed to reach him, squishing his cheeks together with small giggles. I didn't feel drunk, I mean I was swaying to no music and every time Ashley got close to me I ran away but other than that I feel great.

Xavier nodded eagerly causing me to let out a small giggle. "For someone who doesn't drink you can handle your liquor." Xavier nudged me once I got to them. I shrugged, setting the bottle down, "Maybe I do drink and you don't know." I spoke spookily, wiggling my fingers in front of his face.

"I take back what I just said," Xavier mumbled, making me pout. "But you are the most normal one, so I guess you're winning there." Damien busted into a fit of laughter after Xavier's words. I even let out a couple giggles before I laid down on a blanket.

When Alex managed to catch Ashley we all laid down. I was beside Damien and Emily, Xavier was across from me with the Ashley and Alex beside him. We were almost laid in a circle, all of our heads beside each other.

I turned on my side and watched Damien with a small smile, his eyes were shut and I finally got a good look at his features. "sweetheart, if you're gonna stare take a picture," he said quietly, opening his eyes slightly to watch me. I let out a small giggle and got up, quickly grabbing my camera as I sat down.

II had completely forgotten about it this entire time! "Everyone look!" I called, holding the camera as far back as I could with my arm. When I assumed everyone was ready I pressed the button, watching a flash go off. A small picture came out of the top and I grabbed it, placing it and the camera on top of my bag.

I laid back how I was, turning so I was facing Damien. He gave me a small smile before staring back at me.

My hand found its way to his face and gave him a small tap on the nose. "boop!" I mumbled, watching him almost glare at me. A small giggle arose from my mouth and I slowly turned the other way, hearing him chuckle at my drunken state.

My eyes slowly started to close, feeling an arm drape around my waist. I didn't mind it, it was warmer than the blankets we all were sharing. I slowly put my hand on the arm, letting out a shaky breath.

The last thing I heard was a relieved sigh before everything went black.

I woke up to a pounding headache, my eyes squinting partly from the sun and the pain. "Look who's up!" I heard a voice call, making me wince but turn to look at Xavier. I sat up slowly, while he sat in the chair beside my feet.

"Where is everyone?" I questioned, watching him pull out a bag of chips from the cooler. He tossed the bag of chips in front of me before answering, "They're in the water." I nodded my head before taking a chip from the bag. "And why aren't you?" I threw the chip in my mouth, enjoying the saltiness of it.

He shrugged at me before taking a drink of water, "Well, it was either me or Damien hovering like a helicopter parent." A small chuckle came from him and I nodded, a small smile on my lips at the thought of Damien worrying, It was slightly amusing. I threw more chips into my mouth before standing up. Xavier got up too, ready to go into the water. "I have a question," He asked me slowly, I nodded for him to go on as I started to take my shorts and shirt off, revealing my full bikini.

"What does Emily think of me?" He questioned, causing me to give him a 'you're kidding me right' look. He gave me a blank stare waiting for my answer. "You really don't see it?" I was beyond surprised as he shook his head no. "Well, you don't see it either." Xavier chuckled, guiding me closer to the water.

"See what?" I questioned, watching him shake his head. "Nothing T, nothing." He mumbled, a small smile playing on his face. Xavier remember me of my brother, he acted like him and I almost wanted to tell him but I didn't. "I think I am going to ask her out," he changed the subject. I let out a happy gasp, turning to him for a moment, "I think she would say yes." I turned to look at Emily who was watching Damien toss Ashley like a rag doll into the water.

Xavier gave me a smile before wrapping his arm around my shoulder. "you're not so bad after all." He smiled, causing me to let out a small laugh. He let go of me once we got to the water, his body moving toward Emily with a wicked smile.

I was so busy watching them I didn't notice Damien coming up beside me. He wrapped his arms around my legs, throwing me over his shoulder. I let out a small scream as his butt was the only view visible. "Damien let me go!" I squealed, hitting his back with my arms. I had a perfect view of his butt and I didn't mind one bit if he didn't let me down.

Again, I need to stop listening to Emily and her dreams.

He let out a laugh, running back into the water. I felt my body getting thrown into the water making me scream. I quickly shot up, wiping the water from my eyes as everyone laughed.

"You butt!" I let out a loud yell, splashing water at Damien. I couldn't help but let out a loud laugh, watching him choke on the water.

"Die Satan!" Emily yelled, attempting to jump on Damien but bouncing off into the water. I let out a laugh almost falling on my butt, but Ashley caught me. Damien let out a loud chuckle before jumping on Alex's back. A relaxed sigh fell from my lips before I sunk lower into the water, covering my torso.

I watched Xavier play with Emily's hair, making her blush furiously. It made me happy to see her happy. The way she was around him was amusing, her eyes would always light up when he talked to her and I noticed his started to gaze at her when she wasn't looking.

I have no idea what was going on between them, but I ship it.

The ship has sailed, well for me at least.

"Guys we need to start packing up soon," Alex called, his body crawling up Xavier like a spider. "It's Saturday Alex. It's not like we are going to school tomorrow!" Emily whined, making me nod my head in agreement. Damien was still standing and boy, was he built like a god. He was so toned and the tattoos.

Oh god, the tattoos.

"Hey, stalker!" Damien called, snapping me out of my trance. He had a small smile on his face as he came to float with me. "Xavier's going to ask Emily out," I whispered, watching Damien turn to look at both of them. "That'll be a sight to see," He mumbled making me eagerly nod in agreement.

I loved Emily, don't get me wrong, but it would be something to see. Xavier and Alex both have dated someone at our school, but Damien never did once. He was like a puzzle, but after last night I'm determined to solve it.

The bad part about this was that I hated puzzles.

"Guys we better start heading back!" Alex called making everyone finally agree. If we were taking the highway back it was definitely going to take a while. I stood up in the water with Damien, "are you still riding back with me?" He questioned making me smirk.

"We'll see," I watch him raise an eyebrow, almost surprised at my comment. I made my way out of the water, attempting to pack up my stuff. The boys tossed out the coolers, letting the ice melt in the sand so they were lighter. I put my shirt and shorts back on before grabbing my camera to take one last picture of the beach.

"Come on, kid!" Xavier yelled while walking to the cars. I froze, my camera snapping the photo as I bit my lip. Maybe my brother would've been his friend if he was still here, with me. A small smile fell on my face at the thought, grabbing the picture with a happy sigh before running to catch up with them.

"Hey, I'm going to ride with Alex alright," Ashley called making me nod my head before she hopped into the back seat of Xavier's car. I turned to Damien who was filling up his trunk with chairs and blankets, "looks like I am riding with you." He placed a hand on his heart, giving me the most sarcastic joyful face ever, "I am so honored."

"Ouch, the attitude." I gasped, watching him for a moment with my mouth slacked open. He shut the trunk with a cocky smirk and I almost wanted to punch him.

But he was my ride home and I would hate to be in a Uber for an hour trying to cut through the awkwardness.

When we got in the car Xavier had already driven off, leaving me and the bad boy alone.

"So do you still think I'm a cutie?" He laughed making my eyes widen in embarrassment. My cheeks started turning a bright red and I tried my best to ignore him.

Maybe a Uber would've been less awkward...
