《Abducting Ruby》Chapter Seventeen.

Her bones ached.
She was no longer aware of how long she had sat on the rope swing.
She no longer noticed the pain that shot up her arms whenever the shackles rubbed the raw skin on her wrists.
Ruby had long since gone numb.
She no longer cared to fight.
She no longer cared to survive.
She watched herself through a mirror on the opposite side of the room. Her eyes instantly went to the dried blood on her face that was used as makeup.
She was nothing more then a doll.
A doll that was nearly broken.
Dark thoughts kept creeping into Ruby's head. She wondered how she would die. If it would be quick and painless. This life she was living in, stored away in chains, was torture enough.
"How does he do it?" Ruby asked, her voice cracking.
The question seemed to catch Olivia off guard, "What?" She asked, confusion being the first emotion she had shown since Davina's death.
Ruby opened her mouth to speak but began stuttering, "How does he kill them? Is it agonizing?"
Any sign of emotions seem to slip away from Olivia, "You don't need to worry about that."
"How could I not? I'm going to die. You're probably going to die. Davina's dead. All of those people he used as props! Props, Olivia. He's using their dead bodies for his own amusement! We're not making it out of here alive!" Ruby screamed, all the anger and exhaustion and lost hope escaping her.
Olivia took a deep breath, "We'll make it. We're not dying here."
Ruby saw red hearing her words, "Are you fucking delusional—"
Everyone went silent as the door flung open and Master stared them down with wide eyes, "What's with all the yelling?" Master paused waiting for an answer. "Why aren't any of you saying anything?"

Silence took over until finally Master let out a huff, "You two are making a terrible first impression on Theo. We're a family here. Act like it."
A feeling of nausea spread in the pit of Ruby's stomach. They were a family that would be dead and replaced soon enough.
Master clapped his hands, drawing her out of her thoughts, "Now that we've all made up, I hope you're each ready for your performance!"
Ruby didn't get it. How the hell does he switch personality's so easily? One minute he's a raging, abusive psycho. And then next, he's like a child getting a new toy on Christmas.
Master gathered up their chains, pulling them each from the room.
Both Ruby and Olivia's knees buckled from beneath them and they hit the ground in pain.
Their bodies had long since locked up to match the position they were forced to stand in for days at a time.
A look of annoyance flashed in Masters eyes and he yanked the chains, pulling them forward, "I don't have time for this."
Ruby tried to stand but her legs just wouldn't cooperate with her. She was just about to give up completely when Theo tugged hard enough on the chain that Master released it slightly.
Theo reached out a hand, pulling Ruby up from the ground and tucking her into his side.
This seemed to anger Master but Theo cut him off before he could start, "She can't walk! How do you expect her to get wherever we're going? Did you just plan on dragging her?"
Master had no comment. He just turned around and started dragging them out of the basement.
Olivia recovered far more faster then Ruby. She limped slightly, sometimes stumbling or missing a step, but otherwise seemed to walk fine. Ruby on the other hand couldn't seem to control her limbs in the slightest, and Theo had to hold most of her weight.

The walk to the old theater was brutal and Ruby noticed a few things were different this time. Mastered hadn't covered their heads and this time no music played in the distance. The only thing that even gave away that they were close to the theater was the smell of rotting flesh.
Master pushed through a set of double doors and they entered the theater, walking until they came to a stop in the center of the stage.
Broken glass stained with blood laid scattered across the floor and the dead bodies still hung from the ceiling as props.
Theo dropped Ruby in shock and started backing away as far as the chains would allow him to go, "What is this?"
Master ignored him, moving to the side of the stage. He pulled a strange lever and Ruby's breath seemed to catch in her throat as a noose fell from the ceiling.
Ruby tripped over her own feet as she tried backing away and fell into Theo. He placed an arm around her, almost as if he was trying to protect her.
All attention was ripped away from the noose as Olivia's screams filled the theater.
She kneeled on the floor, sobbing as she pointed towards a hanging body.
Davina's corpse hung from a rope. She was tied in the same upside down arc she had been in while in the basement. Her throat was slit and dried blood ran down her neck.
"No! No, no, no! How could you do this?" Olivia cried, looking at Master.
Master smiled, admiring his work, "Davina's talent will always be with us now."

Sexy Sect Babes
“One in a billion.” Jack kept repeating the mantra in his head. “One in a billion.” That was the number the Omni-Corps liked to cite whenever someone stepped onto one trans-mat pad and then simply… never stepped off the other. “Safer than a car,” he repeated as he slogged through the snow, his mining overalls doing at least a passable job of keeping out the cold as he brushed aside a tree branch. “Safer than a plane. Or a starship. Safest form of transport in the Star League.” He slammed his fist into a nearby tree, exo-empowered strength shattering it into little more than scattered bark and kindling. “Yeah, well I never heard of a car ride stranding some prick in another dimension!” He roared, his voice echoing through the seemingly endless forest around him. Then he kept marching. He’d seen the fire off in the distance. And given all the snow around, he sincerely doubted it was natural. Which left the unnatural. Which meant people. He hoped. Because even if the trans-mat had screwed up, he doubted it had dumped him too far off the central finite curve. The fact that the air was breathable and that he could recognize the trees around him as oak told him that much. And if the dimension he was in had trees native to Earth, chances are it would have animals too. Of which humans would hopefully be no exception. “Because I’ll be damned if I spend the rest of my days talking to goddamn squirrels.” No, if there were humans on this mudball, he was going to find them. One way or another.

THIRTEEN (Evie's Perspective)
This is the 2003 movie, Thirteen, told from the perspective of Evie Zamora. We got Tracy's point of view, but what about Evie? Why did she do the things she did?I've seen a few different interpretations of Evie's perspective and I decided to give it a go. This is how I think Evie thought and the reasons behind why she did the things she did. This is NOT canon, just a fanfiction, and I am not affiliated with Thirteen or Catherine Hardwick in any way.
