I silently shove cookies in my mouth as I watch the family drama unfold.
It hasn't even been 24 hours since Liam's brother Jase turned up out of no where and the whole family decided to gather for a 'meeting' held by grandfather. Sadly the old man is stil alive. I could have swore the guy was meant to die 4 months ago.
"Well as you know, Adeline is pregnant" grandfather suddenly said, causing me to drop my cookie.
"I'm pregnant?"
"She's pregnant?" Liam repeated, staring at me.
I shook my head in shock. Oh hell no. We are not doing this all over again. Who the heck comes up with this?
"I'm no-"
"She doesn't need any stress so if you stay with Liam you have to get along" grandfather continued, giving me no chance to break his ice cold heart about a great-grandchild. This man doesn't even let me finish breathing and cuts me off.
Wait,did he just say stay?!
"He's staying with us?" I asked, praying I had a non-pregnancy brain and heard it all wrong.
"Yes, Jase and his brother have a lot to discuss" grandfather replied, crushing my dream of being alone with Liam. why is my luck so bad?
When life gives you lemons- throw them at Jase. The guy and I are not on good terms. Not since he decided to almost set my kitchen on fire while 'drunk' and now he takes away any alone time I could have had with Liam. I cry
"He's not staying with us" Liam sternly said.
Did he just say us?
"Liam-"
"Go back to where you were hiding Jase. I don't fucking need you messing around here" he snapped, cutting Jase off.
Liam stood up and walked out of the room, slamming the door behind him. I blinked a few times trying to take it all in. Did he just leave me? How do I get home now?
Grandfather sighed and shook his head. Everyone in the room stayed quiet and decided to just make me feel uncomfortable and stare at me. That was my cue to leave.
"I need to find my baby daddy" I joked causing a upfront roar amongst everyone. They looked at me horrified. "I mean baby father"
Jesus. These people never heard of the 21 centrury name.
I quickly slipped out before grandfather threw his cane at me for my choice of words and went on a trip to find Liam. Sadly the guy disappeared somewhere so I ended up sitting on chair procrastinating my whole life.

My thoughts are disturbed by Grandfather suddenly appearing and sitting down next to me. He looked at me and I looked at him.
"you know I'm not really pregnant right" I uttered, knowing well this man was good a playing games. After all, that's how he got me to marry his grandson.
he smiled and nodded. "I know"
You what now?
"I knew it" I said, shaking my head.
He leaned back on his chair and crossed his legs over the other.
"If I have to lie to get my grandsons to play nice, I'll do it" he said.
I roll my eyes. "So you use me and a non-existing baby?"
He chuckled. "It may become real" he winked.
Uh no, Your grandson doesn't even hold my hand Sir
"Talk to Liam" he uttered. "Change his mind about Jase"
I snort. "Why? So they can murder each other?"
"Because they are brothers"
I sigh. He had to throw the family card in the conversation and make me feel guilty.
"They need to talk to each other but Liam is too stubborn to let that happen. So you need go help them out" grandfather said.
Look old man, I can't even get a like back from Liam so what makes you think I can get the brothers to talk
"I'll give you allowance" he blurts and my head instantly snaps towards him.
"Deal" I shriek, grabbing grandfathers hand and shaking it.
Finally, I won't be broke and sell Liam's stuff secretly for money. I don't think he noticed that expensive piece of plates missing.
I grinned cheekily, handing in my bank details to send the money through before skipping goodbye.
"And Adeline?" He called, causing me to spin around.
"Hmm?"
"Keep the pregnancy act up okay?" he smiled, fakely shooting flames at me as I hop along like I got fries and not a child. that's technically true
I nodded and slowed my pace down, holding my back with one hand and rubbing mg belly with the other. do it for the money Adeline.
As I head down the stairs into the main entrance I notice Jase standing there with a large luggage in his hand. I sigh, flip my hair making sure I look decent enough to be called Liam's wife and walk up to him.
"You got a car?" I asked.
He smirked. "Yeah"
I fake a smile, holding back my hand from slapping that smirk off his face. "Good, give me the keys"

He shrugged without questioning me and dropped the keys in my hand. I screamed in excitement running to the car and throwing myself inside. The excitement got to me so much that I start the car, driving out of the mansion only to notice Jase still standing there looking at me bored.
Oh shit, I forgot about him
I pressed the horn, rolling down the window and popping my head out. "Get in loser, I'm taking you to my home" I yelled across.
Jase laughed and jogged over. "You know it's my car right?" He said, as he got in and I began to drive.
"You know you almost burnt down my kitchen last night right?" I hit back, making sure he remembers me practically crying my eyes out at 3am because I thought my food was burning. I didn't care that Liam and Jase were to busy fighting. I was shoving all the food in the cupboards into a bag trying to save my babies.
He cleared his thought. "Yeah, Sorry I was drunk" he mumbled "I didn't know you are pregnant"
Neither did I until an hour ago
I just faked a smile and for the next hour, we stayed quiet. We finally arrived at the house and I could see Liam's car parked outside. It's now or never. I have to brace myself against Liam wrath.
I slowly opened the door, checking back and forth that Liam wasn't anywhere around
"Quick quick!' I shooed Jase upstairs into the first room as he dragged his luggage. what? what Liam doesn't know won't hurt Liam- or try to divorce me.
I mentally high-fived myself as we succeeded into getting him into the guest room without being caught my Liam. Now all I have to do is keep the guy in there until Liam finally agrees to accept him.
"just stay in there until I come for you" I whispered. Jase just shrugged and went straight into bed. I sighed in relief, closing the door and turning around only to scream the whole place down. I almost lost my 1 out of my 9 lives.
Liam stood in front of me. Shirtless, dripping wet and only a towel wrapped around his torso. My hormones screamed at the beautiful sight as I gawked on.
"are you enjoying that babe?"
Yes
I snapped out of my trance. uh- I shouldn't have said that and made his cocky attitude reach 100.
"Enjoying What?"I faked like I was unfazed by the water dripping down his six pack, making its way into his towel that wrapped tightly around his torso covering his- what was my point again?
He chuckled and leaned forward. "Checking me out"
I looked at him offended. Me checking him out? How dare he accuses me of such truth. How dare I get caught
"I-I" I stuttered, loss of words.
Liam smiled and leaned forward, placing a peck on my lips. I blinked a few times taking it in as he walked past me. "Did-did you just- um"
do you hear me screaming inside?
"What?" Liam asked, teasing me with a a cheeky smile
"Mwah me?" I blurt. Did I just say that?
He snorts. "Kiss?" He asked "yeah baby"
holy cheese puffs, please stop with these nicknames. My heart is bursting like a starburst
"W-why?"
"Didn't we say we'll give it ago?" He asked, tilting his head slightly.
I didn't realise it was going to get this serious like I'm not ready for this
He causally walks back into his room leaving me shocked and trying to calm myself down.
"Hey can I come out yet? I'm hungry?" Jase whispered, peaking at me behind the slightly opened door. I panic and snap my head towards Liam snap who was in the porcess of turning around and murdering me. I quickly shove Jase back into the room, slamming the door shut and leaning back on it
"What was that?" Liam grunted, the look of suspicion on his face.
I shake my head at Liam. "my-my stomach?"
how in the world does my stomach speak
Liam refrains back from laughing and gives me a final look of suspicion before walking back into the room.
I literally breathe again after holding my breath for so long. I gulped, banging my head back on the door slightly.
Holy shit. How am I going to keep hiding this man without Liam murdering us both?
