"Liam there's a baby in the house and I don't remember giving birth" I said, holding the thing up in front of him.

He blinked a few times, collecting in the information I just dropped on him. "Maybe I should have stayed in the office for another week" he mumbled.

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Liaaam" I cried "this is serious"

He chuckled but regained his posture. "Adeline you couldn't have possibly given birth to an 8 month old"

I sighed in relief. The last time I remembered, Liam and I have been married for only a 2 months and the kiss which happened over a week ago couldn't possibly make me pregnant- like I had thought for 15 years of my life until Adrian had to break it down to me. I was mortified.

Never mind that- I have more serious issues like waking up in the morning to find my husband home- whom I haven't seen for over a week because he's been at work 24/7 and a random baby in my living room.

As I panic over what to do with this child, Liam causally walks past me while eating cereal in milk out of the plastic bag.

"Liam help" I pleaded, following after him. The thing crawled behind me and I quickly grabbed Liam's arm.

Liam sighed. "What's the last thing you remember?"

"Well I woke up, came down and saw you. Almost shit my pants and ran into living room to find your momholdingababyandthenleaving-holy shit you have a little brother?" I exclaimed after an hour of remembering.

Liam deadass looked me in the eye. "My mom is 49 Adeline"

I furrowed my eyebrows together "hey, you heard about that 60 year old who had twin-"

"Shut up" he grunted, cutting me off "You might wanna call my mom"

I took his advice and furiously dialed her number. I made sure to keep an eye on the thing from disappearing while Liam watched TV like this ain't got nothing to do with him.

If that kid turns out to be my kid, it's his too.

"Hey my love!" Julie chirped, the moment the line connected.

"Hey" I said.

"What's up love?"

"Where are you?" I asked.

"Shopping!"

"Did you uh, forget something?" I asked again, pressing my lips together "something small, and uh-human like?"

There was a moment of silence. "No.." She uttered "oh my handbag? How silly of me"

Since when was a handbag human Like?

I took a deep breath. This lady forgets a random child in my house and she wants to be a grandma? She can say bye bye to her future grandchildren for another 50 years.

"The baby Julie, the baby!"I hissed.

"Oh crap!" She blurted "Andrew"

Well looks like the thing has a name.

I laugh sarcastically. "Yes Andrew"

"I'm sorry. Andrew is Liam's cousins son. I was supposed to be babysitting but uh- my mind has been on something important" she uttered.

Yeah shopping.

"I can't pick him up right now. I'll drop by later. Have fun!" She cheered but hanging up on me.

My mouth fell wide open. I heard a tiny little mouse like snicker causing my eye to twitch. "This baby is your problem as much as mine" I said between grit teeth.

Liam stood up, walked up to me and stood inches away. He bent down slightly to look me directly in the eye.

"Since when?" He grunted, his husky tone appeared as he spoke.

I swallowed hard. The room suddenly went from 15 degrees to 40 real quick. My cheeks flushed red and my mouth awkwardly formed into a smile. Act natural

"Since I gave birth" I blurt.

For the love of all cheese puffs- what do you not understand about natural Adeline?!

Liam pressed his lips together. His cheeks suddenly compressed together and a laugh escaped his lips. He stepped back and shook his head while wiping away a tear.

"I don't know what to do with you" he mumbled, biting his lip as his hands swiftly brush his hair.

Can I travel back in time when I was perfectly fine without Liam in my life? Where's Doctor Who when you need him?

I pushed aside my embrassment and regained my breath which was lost the moment Liam stepped close. My heart still has the palpitations and luckily it's just love- not a big deal.

Liam began to walk away and I was about to scream but the kid Andrew beat me to it. His scream of cries filled the room causing Liam to freeze.

He slowly turned around and looked at the child, horrified. "Do something"

I snort. What makes him think I'm any more skilled this he is?

"You do something!"I hissed.

Liam's eyes darted at me. His lips formed into a scowl. "Dammit Adeline, you're a woman aren't you?"

"No,I'm just a food tester" I replied. What? It's true. And besides just because I am a woman does not mean I have any clue how to calm down a baby.

We both argued back and forth, thinking of things this baby might need. We- Well I mean Liam tried giving it a grape but then Google said that's a choking hazard so I had to smack Liam. We even smelt it's nappy but it smelt fresher than Liam's feet.

"We ran out of options" Liam sighed, laying beside me on the sofa as the child cried on the floor.

What are we missing? Doesn't a 8 month olds life revolve around food, nappy change and sleep?

"Hey.." Liam mumbled, nudging me slightly "You wanna give your boobs a try?"

His eyes drifted towards my chest and I could almost see the vicious men in him. I draped my arms over my chest, flushing pink.

"Boobies produce milk only when the baby comes out of you, dumbass" I snort, flickering his forehead. He winced and rubbed his knuckle against my head whilst I slapped him away.

Something suddenly clicked in my head. "Hey..did we try to pick it up?" I asked Liam.

He slowly turned his head towards me and a smile appeared on his lips. "I'm not touching him"

I cursed under my breath. I sighed before turning towards the baby and reaching my arms out. I swiftly picked it up and held it against my chest, cooeing in its ear. The cries slowly began to die, replaced with hiccups.

I couldn't help but find it so cute. Maybe Liam and I should have a baby- don't even go there Adeline.

It wasn't long until it fell asleep and I literally never felt more relieved.

Maybe I should tease Liam. "Hey Liam, should we have a baby?"I chuckled, turning to face him only to see him frozen next to the door like he's been caught.

"Where do you think you are going?" I asked, suspiciously.

Liam sighed. "Work"

I felt my heart leap out of my chest. "You are not leaving me after being gone for the whole week. I missed you"

I was supposed to say but instead blurted "You can't leave me with this baby. I can't survive"

Liam smiled. A warm, vibrant smile that made my heart beat fast, reminding me that I was in love with him.

"Good luck!" He chirped, before disappearing out of the room.

I cried silently so that I didn't wake the baby up. How could he betray me like that? What about the promise we made in our vow to help each other? What about any of the damn promise we made on our vows?

After an hour my whole body fell asleep and I could barely move. Just when I did, I happen to make the worst- second worst mistake of my life-waking the baby up.

I'm doomed.

It began to cry again and I was this - close to crying along with it. A sudden bad smell filled my nostrils and I gasped. Holy cow, baby poop smelt bad.

What sort of human sleeps and shits at the same time?

I literally ran around the whole house looking for a change of diaper and unfortunately there was nothing. So I used Liam's boxers instead. I somehow managed to clean it's butt without puking (I deserve a medal)

The baby still cried every know and then and I had ran out of all options after trying everything Google told me. I tried calling Liam but that jerk had his phone switched off.

I hit my limit when it began to pull my hair out. I packed my food, got in a taxi and went straight to Liam's office whilst crying throughout the ride.

I managed to get through the stupid security who were determined not to let me go through by playing the stressed out mama.

"For fuck sake" I cursed after going up to the 30th floor which left me breathless, regardless of using the elevator. Carrying a baby on the hip is hard. I suddenly realised the kid was staring at me carefully.

"Don't tell Julie" I mumbled.

It didn't respond. I'll take that as an ok

My eyes drifted around the packed room. They all gave me odd glances as they passed by.

"Can I help you?" A woman asked, approaching me.

I nodded. "Yeah, where's Liam?"

Her face scrunched up at the sound of Liam. She felt offended that I called him by his first name.

"Mr.saevatore is busy and anyone can't just come in here and demand to see him" she said with hint of annoyance in her voice.

Who does she think she is calling me anyone?

"I'm his wife FYI and our child is unwell so call him" I snapped, irritated. I'm just gonna pretend that someone else's kid is mine for a moment.

Her facial expression changed and she spun in her heels before walking towards another room and slamming the door behind her.

I rolled my eyes and ignored all the stares from people. They were bound to call child services after seeing the kid wear boxers instead of actual nappies.

After waiting for like a minute, the other room door flung open and an irritated Liam stepped out. His hands shoved in his black trouser pocket. His shirt sleeve was rolled up to his elbow and his tie hung lose around his neck.

If I wasn't so stressed with a child I would have took some secret Snapchat pictures to make my friends jealous.

"Honey!" I chirped, faking a smile.

Liam's expression went completely blank at the sound of my squeaky voice.

"Our son needs you" I said, forcefully handing the child into his before walking into his office.

The whole office went quite and I laughed secretly whilst siting down on a chair, admiring his massive office. It was bigger than my old house alone.

Liam didn't move for a moment and instead observed his workers.

"Back to work. Now" he growled causing everyone to quickly shift away.

He stepped back into his office, slamming the door behind him. "Adeline" he roared, his voice shaking "What are you doing here?"

I felt a sudden heaviness in my chest. Why was he being so angry? Maybe I shouldn't have done that in front of everyone.

"The baby-w-wouldn't stop crying" I stuttered, bringing in the puppy dog eyes.

Liam let out a heavy sigh as he looked down a the cute little ball of candy who may I add stopped crying the moment he went into Liam's arms. Pft betrayer

"Couldn't you have called my mom instead of barging in here?" He asked. I could sense the anger in his voice as he tried hard to hold back.

I felt guilty. Liam was probably more tired than I was from working all week. I didn't even see him all week. We never spoke about the kiss since we got back and it was almost as if he was avoiding me.

"I'm sorry" I said " I was just so tired from the constant crying. The first person I could think of was you"

Liam's eyes softened. He breathed out before placing the child on the table; still having his arms wrapped around it.

"Why is he wearing my boxers?" He asked, a chuckle escaping his lips.

A smile crept up my lips. "He pooped his diapers and I couldn't find anything"

Liam nodded. He shook his head lightly to hide the smile on his face.

"Why don't you take a break in here and I'll take him with me to buy some diapers?" He said.

I felt relieved and nodded my head. Take your time. 2 hours minimum.

Liam grabbed his blazer and wrapped it around the child as he walked out of the office, closing the door behind him. I couldn't help but think what a cute dad he'd make.

I took the opportunity to sneak into Liam's big comfy chair and lean back, feeling my body relax.

"Would you like anything?" a voice suddenly spoke, causing me to jump.

The rude woman from before stood near the closed door and smiled. I could see through her fake ass smile.

"No thank you" I replied "wait no- could you bring me some food?"

She nodded her head slowly. She didn't move and stood there for a moment, contemplating about something. "I didn't realise Mr.Saevatore was married" she said.

Half of the time, neither do I

"Yeah. It's a surprise to some" I replied laughing awkwardly.

"He's very good at hiding it since he didn't go home all week" she said.

"He's been busy. It's understandable"

The woman's facial expression changed. She furrowed her eyebrows at me. "But he hasn't been"

I raised my brow. "What do you mean?"

She looked down and smiled. A small laugh escaping her lips. I felt my heart squeeze tightly.

"You don't know?" she asked, purposely trying to make me feel small "he has asked me to book him a hotel room for the whole week while he came to work for only a few hours everyday"

I felt a sharp pain in my stomach, like someone had stabbed me. I blinked a few times, processing the information. Why would he do that? Why would he purposely not come home? I felt hurt and confused. It's not like he would avoid me..right?

The woman cleared her throat, catching my attention. She opened the door and smiled.

"I guess Mr.Saevatore purposely didn't want to go home" She mumbled.

I gulped, forcing back the tears from spilling. She could sense that I was upset and purposely smirked.

"I'll get you your food"
