"Pst" Ava hissed, popping her head through the door "I stole some food for you"
She quietly came in with a stomach the size of melon. She pulled up her top and suddenly the food came crashing down onto the bed.
I snort and begin to stash the food under the covers to keep it safe. I handed Ava a cake bun and we both begin to stuff it in our mouth.
"Ava where's my food and why is the fridge empty?!" Kai yelled from downstairs causing Ava and I to choke on the food.
"Shit" Ava cursed "I gotta go"
I quickly nodded. "Ava, crums, crums!" I hiss.
She quickly wipes the evidence off and runs out of the room, closing the door behind her.
I snort.
It wasn't easy living at someone's house. Especially when they have no idea you're even there in the first place. Ava might have offered me a place to stay but she forgot one crucial point: it's not hers.
I'm not planning for Kai to find out anytime soon. Ava and I are already homeless and we can't afford to be kicked in the street.
But I've stayed here for long enough maybe I should leave- uh no. Where else am I going to find a mansion and not pay for it? Besides I'm not ready to face Liam, not yet.
I sighed, rolling around the bed out of boredom. I had nothing to entertain me, including my phone. I had to turn it off just in case Liam was those type of weirdos who track your location. I couldn't risk him finding me.
I decided to sneak out of Ava's room and slowly go down a few steps while I listen to Ava and Kai argue. It was more fun.
"Are you eating for two?" Kai asks and I practically spit out non-existent water out of my mouth and hold back my laugh.
"Yes" Ava replied casually "one for me and one for my baby. Meet fries"
I was already slamming my fist against the ground, trying to stop myself from accidental wee.
Kai didn't respond back so I'm assuming his lost for words.

I decide to walk down a bit more, just enough to see both of them. Ava caught my eye as I grinned at her whilst she looked like she saw a ghost.
"And who were you laughing with these days?" Kai asked.
She smiled. "Oh you know, just calling some ghosts friends over for a casual meeting"
I was seconds away from bursting out so I ran upstairs and slammed the door closed.
Oh crap
"My ghost friends are here. bye!" I heard Ava say before I could hear her run upstairs.
"Ghost friends?" I laugh as Ava bursts in, closing the door behind her.
She laughed and fell onto the bed next to me.
"I'm very social" she joked and I laugh.
We continued to mess around for a while until Ava finally had to leave for work. I almost cried when I saw her walk out through the gates. It was like a scene from Romeo and Juliet but more of Avaeo and Adeliet. Forbidden love.
I should really stop.
I suddenly felt thirsty. Ava had forgotten that I need water, not just all the food from Kai's fridge.
I quietly opened the door and peaked both sides to make sure Kai wasn't around.
I quickly tipped toed downstairs and into the kitchen. I slowly opened the fridge and grabbed a water bottle before chucking it down my throat.
"Ava didn't you go to work-"
This time I spat out the existent water in my mouth and cursed under my breath.
Well done Adeline. You deserve a meddle for being the most stupid woman.
I slowly spin around and face a shocked looking Kai. His eyes widen in shock.
"In there" he said, pointing to the living room.
I sulkingly walked past and sat down onto the couch as I watch Kai furiously type on the phone before walking into the room.
"Did you..text the police?" I asked. Technically I'm staying at his house without his knowledge. Is that called breaking in?
Wait, can you even text the police?
"Ava" he replied.
I nodded.
After 20 minutes, Ava bursts into the house. She looked like she ran a marathon.
Kai stood up, walking towards Ava.

"Are you kidding me?" Kai yelled at Ava "what idiot would steal someone elses bride on the wedding day?"
Ava laughed nervously. "It's not like it was planned"
Kai groaned. "Liam has been looking through heaven and hell to find her and if he finds out I have been keeping her here then I lose a lot of business"
Ava and I gave him a confused expression. He did not just business- zone me.
"So business means more to you than a person's feeling?" Ava asked, guilt tripping Kai.
That's my girl. Nobody bussiness-zones me and gets away with it.
I took this opportunity to put my acting skills to use and began to force out some fake tears.
"Do I mean so little to you?!" I cried
Kai's face suddenly softened "no I-"
"How could you do this to me?!" I exclaimed, grabbing on to Ava.
Kai looked restless.
"There there" Ava mumbled, comforting me whilst she glared at Kai.
"You made her cry now"
Kai sighed and looked between me and Ava awkwardly.
"I'm so-"
"If you're sorry then you can't tell Liam" Ava said, cutting him off.
"Fine" Kai mumbled before walking out of the room.
Ava and I grinned at each other.
We both snickered quietly.
We sat down on the couch and I threw my legs over her and she looked at me in disbelief.
"Your feet better be washed" she said.
I roll my eyes. "I made them squeaky clean just for you"
Ava laughed and threw her legs over me.
"Kai seems like a nice guy" I winked.
"Yeah right, nice guy psh" she huffed.
I smiled knowingly that deep deep deep deep down she has feeling for him. She wasn't going to admit it anytime soon.
"Do you think he'll keep quite?" I asked.
Ava nodded with a devious smile "I'll make sure he does"
We both high-fived each other.
Kai popped in with two drinks in his hand.
"Uh, I thought you might want a drink" he said handing us the glasses.
I smile and thank him. Maybe he really won't tell Liam.
"And by the way, I texted Liam and told him not to worry and you can stay at mines as long as you need"
I spat out my drink and looked up at Kai.
Did.he.just.say.he.told.Liam.I.was.here?
This son of-
"And why would you do that you potato?!" Ava screamed, getting to him before I could.
"You-"
"I got this" I said, cutting Ava off.
"Guys guys I just-"
"You little shit!" I Snapped, grabbing a fist full of his hair and pulling him to the ground with me.
Ava was literally laughing so hard.
"I feel bad for him, go easy" Ava said as she laughed even more.
"Adeline please, it hurts!" Kai cried, grabbing my wrist to stop me from leaving him bold.
"I'm hurt more!" I snap.
How can I face Liam again after what he did? How do I look in the eye of the man I married who betrayed me and hurt me?
"I'm sorry!" Kai exclaimed.
I swear I had already ripped a bunch of his hair in my hand and it wasn't long until I left him bold.
The doorbell suddenly rang and I froze. Kai took this opportunity to slip away.
I looked at Ava horrified as the bell rang again.
"Holy cow!" I yelled, panicking.
Before Ava could even stop Kai, he had already bounced to the door and flung it open.
I held my breath, waiting for the person to speak.
Please, please don't be Liam. Please don't be Liam.
The silence was beginning to kill me.
"Where is my wife?"
"We have a honeymoon to go to"

A Budding Scientist in a Fantasy World
Alice is a girl who loves science and lives on Earth. Then, suddenly, she was punted into another dimension. A dimension where magic and monsters roam the land, swords and sorcery reign supreme, and, for some reason, a System keeps dinging at her and telling her that her stats and levels are increasing. As someone who loves exploring mysteries, Alice is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery. After all, everything has to have a ‘cause,’ including the System, right? What to expect: This story is going to be a LitRPG set in a fantasy world. However, unlike many LitRPG’s, the system has both a definite beginning and definite limits to what it is able to accomplish – rather than a singularly omnipotent, omniscient being that is tied to the laws of the world, the way systems are usually presented in LitRPG’s, the system is close to both, but has definite limits and rules which it operates by. This story is also relatively slow, since that is my writing style. The main character also begins the story as a young, 15-year old girl who has yet to finish high school, and is going to explore more of the world around her as she grows as a person and starts to get her feet under her.
