《Say I do》chapter 21: the runaway bride

"Till death do us apart" he whispered.
His tongue slid across his bottom lip, moisturising it. His breathing hit against my neck, causing the hairs to stand. His eyes burnt through mine, drawing me closer into him. His eyes flickered back and forth until his lips crashed against mine.
"That shouldn't be long then" I mumbled, a smile forcing upon my lips as Liam pulled away.
His eyes flashed a devilish emotion and his lips curved into his signature smirk.
I sucked in my breath, ignoring my emotions that were pilling up just at the sight of him. He was almost irresistible If it wasn't for his cocky attitude.
"Throw the Bouquet Adeline!" Ashley practically screamed across the hall, breaking the stare between Liam and I.
I snort after catching the sight of Ashley, Megan, Katelyn and even Adrian anticipating for the bouquet. They'd give me a few winks as a signal.
I spun around, grasping the bouquet and glancing at Liam.
"Whoever catches it is very unlucky" I said with a smile. Especially if they have to deal with a man like Liam.
He chuckles. "Very unlucky that it couldn't be them in your position"
I snort. "Please, they had a lucky escape"
"That hurt my feelings" Liam sighed, holding his heart.
I roll my eyes and smile. "I'll make sure it hurts somewhere else next time"
He chuckled and rubbed his chin. "Feisty" he grunts causally biting his lip. His eyes scanning me from top to bottom as I suddenly felt shy.
"Stop, you creep" I hiss, embarrassed.
No, please do continue
He held his hand up in surrender and I smiled with satisfaction.
"Alright here I go" I said, diverting my attention back to the crowd. I swung the bouquet back, releasing it out my hands.
I could hear gasps from the crowds and a few whines. I spin around to see at least Adrian catching it because he was practically a pole against the tiny girls but instead it had fallen all the way back onto a familiar looking girl, Ava.
It sat on her lap as her face showed pure shock. I snort, unlucky.
Liam wrapped his arms around me and placed a kiss on my cheek.whoa there.
"can you stop?" I hissed "we're not that close"
His facial expression went blank. "we're married"
I shrug "and?"
A voice coughed behind us and I suddenly remembered the priest was still there and heard the whole conversation. Holy potato am I going to hell now?
"j-just kidding" I stuttered with a measly laugh whilst the priest kept a straight face.
Liam stiffened a laugh before wrapping his arms around me and walking towards his family who looked like they had attended a funeral. Julie however was bawling her eyes out at the sight of me and couldn't be happier. She also kept hinting 'grandchildren' in every conversation leading up to the wedding.
I noticed Mr.Saevatore and tried to back away only for Liam to drag me forward. Mr.Saevatore and I are not on good terms right now. After all I ripped his $20,000 wedding dress 'unintentionally' might I add.
"You have signed the papers?" Mr.Saevatore asked Liam, ignoring me like a status.
"Yes" Liam replied, his body suddenly became tense. I could feel the tension between them.
Now that I think about it, wasn't Mr.Saevatore meant to be in his death bed right now? Not that I want the guy dead for ruining my life but because I'm just concerned.

"Right, well come and see me Liam" he ordered before walking away with half of the family trailing behind.
"Congratulations" Liam's aunt Katherine snarled. I remembered her from the party when she tried to kill my food baby. I still haven't forgiven her.
"I didn't find out about this wedding until last minute" she said, sounding displeased.
Please, you wouldn't even be invited if I handled the wedding.
"How rude" I said "they also haven't told you that I'm 9 months pregnant"
Her eyes widen in shock and Liam choked on pure air.
"I just wanted to be safe this time" I said, rubbing my almost flat stomach if it wasn't for the cake I ate secretly before the ceremony.
Katherine turned red and was murdering me with her eyes. She opened her mouth to shoot fire but Liam had stepped in the way.
"Please excuse us" he uttered, dragging me away from her.
"I forgot to tell her it was twins!" I yelled, flapping my arms back trying to catch her attention again.
Liam's jaw clenched but I could see the amusing smile fighting to show. I swear he has already murdered me 5 times in his head already.
"Adeline, what do I do with you?" He sighed, running his hands through his perfectly neat hair.
I grinned "you've already married me so I don't know"
He chuckled, running his hands over his face covering his beaming smile. I bit my lip, resisting the urge to remove his hands and see him smile.
"Well doesn't this look cosy?" A familiar voice chirped, breaking the moment.
Jasper, Alex and William approached us. They all wore black suits and looked pretty hot. Now I'm wondering if I've married the wrong one.
Ha, jokes..
"Guys" Liam mumbled.
"Liam" they mimicked his voice and I laughed.
"you look hot-I mean beautiful" Jasper said, clearing his throat when he noticed Liam's murderous look.
I smile and flip my veil "Thanks, at least someone thinks so"
That dig was thrown at Liam who was too busy pretending to check his phone. A waiter went by and I slipped a glass of champagne. I'll need more than one glass after day.
"No way" Liam grunted before snatching it out of my hand and gulping it down in one go.
"I see you are still careful of her" Jasper said with a sly smile.
"Very caring" Alex joined in.
"Not tonight he won't be" Jasper chuckled winking at us both "I see a bed in my future vision"
My cheeks turned red and I couldn't hide my embarrassment. I love how these men just freely talk about me in front of me.
Liam smacked him on the head. "I see my car running you over"
The boys laughed and Jasper looked around. "What I do wrong?" He mouthed.
"Well this won't be your first time anyways" Jasper laughed, nudging the guys to join in on his stupid joke.
"She's still a virgin" Liam blurted causing my head to snap towards him. If I had done it any faster I might have been casted for the next horror movie.
The guys were in a state of shock. Even a waiter going past looked horrified when he heard of the news.
My life is officially over. My newly husband just announced my virginity status to his friends.
"You're still a..." William trialed off, biting his tongue when he realised I was turning red from the anger.

"And that was necessary because?" I snapped.
Liam chuckled, scratching the back of his neck. "I was just answering his question" he shrugged, displaying an innocent face.
I was this - close to divorcing him already and we've been married for only 10 minutes.
"Do you hear the bells of divorce?" Jasper whispered causing Liam to smack him again.
"No no, you're right" I said, agreeing with Jasper "I also hear the bells of my shoes in his crotch"
The boys erupted into laughter as Liam bit his lips and a sly smile spread across his lips.
His attention suddenly diverted towards somewhere else. "I'll leave you to calm down okay?" He said, jogging away.
my expression fell blank. "Did he just- leave me?" I stuttered.
The guys just nodded.
I then went on trying to justify Liam's comment about my virginity but the guys didn't believe a word so we ended up drinking grape juice and pretend we were drunk.
Liam disappeared for longer than 10 minutes and I'm beginning to wonder if I've been dumped. I became agitated and the guys slipped away for real drinks. Jerks
I awkwardly smiled whilst guests walked past me gossiping.
My eyes suddenly caught a familiar face and I instantly spun around to avoid him.
"Adeline" he called.
Act like you didn't hear that.
"I know you can hear me, I'm practically behind you" he stated.
Dammit
I sighed and spun around meeting his eyes. A smile spread across his face as his eyes trailed down my body.
"My eyes are up here Chris" I said, holding my fingers opposite my eyes.
He chuckled. "Right"
There was a long silence between us until he finally spoke again.
"I need to talk to you"
I raised my eyebrow waiting for him to speak.
"Inn private"
Hell no. The last time you took me somewhere private you tried to make a move on me.
"I don't think-"
Before I could protest Chris had already grabbed my arm and dragged me towards a separate room from the hall.
"What now Chris?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest annoyed.
He cleared his throat before speaking.
"Have you wondered where Liam had sneaked off to?" He asked.
I roll my eyes.
"No, enlighten me"
○○~
"You lied to me!" I snapped, snatching my hand out of his.
Liam ran his hands through his hair out of frustration.
"I can explain" he pleaded.
I shook my head and refused to listen to him any further. I ran out of the room, slamming the door behind me.
My fairy tale wedding came crashing down. The man I loved didn't love me back and now I couldn't stand the sight of him.
My eyes desperately searched for Adrian between the crowds of people dancing to the music which was blaring through the roof.
"Adrian!" I called, catching him dancing with Ashley. My screams were drowned by the music.
My heart sank when I realised I couldn't stay with Adrian or any of my friends. Liam would find me.
"Adeline!" Liam's voice boomed and my eyes widen in horror. I began to panic.
I have to hide. He can't find me.
My eyes wondered towards a table and I ran towards it and slid underneath.
I held my knees into my chest, and rocked myself back and forth as I cried. My chest was beating faster and my mouth became dry from all the screaming.
"Adeline!" I could hear Liam scream and my body tensed as I felt him run past.
I had to escape from him. The longer I stayed in here, reminding me of the vows I took the more painful it became. I can't let him find me, not today, not tomorrow, not ever.
I prayed someone would save me from this as it was suffocating me.
I watched someone run towards the table and I instantly recognised the dress. I slipped my head out from under the table and looked up at her, crying.
Her expression went blank and she dropped the fork from her hand. There was a short silence until she finally spoke.
"Hi"
I practically broke down and grabbed onto her dress. My tears were unstoppable and my body was shaking.
"Please help me" I begged.
Ava looked at me a bit concerned.
"Only if you let my dress stay on" she said, holding onto her dress which I had a strong grip on.
I crawled out from under and stood up, wobbling.
"Please help me, I need a place to stay" I told her
She nodded her head slowly. "Yeah I know this really good hotel"
I quickly shake my head. Liam practically owned everything and I couldn't risk going to a hotel where he'd definitely find me.
"I can't. Please, I just need to get away"
"Didn't you just get married? What's the rush?" She asked, confused.
I bit my lip and sniffed.
"I need to get away from him. Please, you either help me or not. Let me stay with you" I asked with desperation in my voice.
She scanned me and thought for a moment as she stuffed her face with cake.
"Okay, You can stay at mine"
