《Say I do》chapter 16: hurt feelings and about to kill him

Their eyes lingered around me as small snickers escaped their lips.
"Shut up" I hissed, drinking a glass of orange juice whilst everyone else drank alcohol.
Julie insisted I drink juice to keep myself healthy. We all know she's secretly hoping and praying that I'm pregnant and just wants to keep the baby safe 'in case'
"You look good" Jasper said, nodding his head in approval.
"Thanks" I flatly say.
The guys continued to hang around me whilst Liam went to say hello. It was our 'announcement' party and I'm still wondering why I didn't move to another country.
I tried to escape this but Liam's grandfather wouldn't have it. I even tried to sneak out of my house at 4am but his security guard was watching me from his car.
I sighed as I placed the glass down and tugged on my dress which was hugging my body tight enough to cut off all my oxygen.
My eyes sneaked a peak at Liam who looked irresistible tonight. He wore a suit with white shirt and a bow tie. His hair was smooth slicked back which brought out his eyes.
My eyes scanned him, dreadfully slow.
"You suck at covering up" Jasper snorts, breaking my trance.
I sigh. "I know, I need to work on it"
And besides, I'm allowed to check out my soon to be husband.
"Soo" Asher mumbled, trying to make conversation "you and Liam huh?"
I just nodded.
"Marriage is a big step" William said.
I snort. Exactly why I don't want this.
"You'll be with each other forever"
Oh hell no. I can't bare to be with him for 5 minutes nevermind a lifetime
"Children"
The only person I'm having children with is Damon.
"No" I say, causing the boys to raise eyebrows "n..not yet"
I cough trying to cover it all up. They just shrugged with a nod. My eyes caught a familiar looking girl and I took the chance to slip away from the guys and towards her.
"Ava-"
I was rudely cut of by a strong pair of arms wisking me away. I backtrack as I realise Liam dragging me to the stairs where he was about to make the announcement.
"No no no no" I utter, holding me heels down. I ain't ready for this, heck I won't be ready for another 6 years.
"Yes yes yes" Liam hummed, pulling me to the staircase. I could feel the eyes darting towards us as we stood in the middle.
I tried to hide behind Liam but that jerk pulled me besides him instead. He slipped his hand around me and smiled as people gathered.
"Thank you all for coming" he began "I'd like you all to meet my fiancée"
He glanced at me and I gave him a horrified look. He stiffened a laugh and continued to speak.
"Adeline Carter"
People clapped and I smiled awkwardly with a nod. Liam leaned forward and placed a kiss on my cheek. He then went for a kiss and I dodged it.
His eyes widen in shock as he grit his teeth "why you-"
Before be could say another word I quickly placed a quick peck on his lips to shut him up. Jesus Adeline when did you become so forward.
The crowd 'awed' and giggled whilst I could feel Liam snarling at me. Someone's gonna get yelled tonight.

We both pulled apart and I snort as my lipstick stained his lips. I wipe it off whilst he roll his eyes at me.
"It suits you" I whisper.
He smiles "thanks, I've always wanted to hear that"
I could feel sarcasm dripping from words.
Mr Saevatore took the opportunity to make his way up to us. My heart began to race as I remembered the announcement. My whole life is about to be sold to the devil- aka Liam.
"I'd like to announce something regarding my grandson and his fiancée" Grandfather said.
The crowd waited anxiously as I squirmed.
Oh my God no, this can't happen.
"my grandson and Adeline will be getting m-"
I screamed at the top of my lungs as I faked a fall. I threw my heel off and let my body fall- and break every single bone in my body and end up in hospital- but that didn't matter as long as I was out of this.
My body was falling back and I embraced myself for the worst only to be pulled straight back up and shoved into a hard chest.
Liam's arms a wrapped around me as my cheeks were pressed against his chest. I could hear his heart beating fast and his breathing sped up.
The crowd gasped and whispers began to fly across the room.
"She's just dizzy" Liam assured, squeezing my shoulders.
I was loss for words and too shocked to say anything. Liam just saved my ass but at the same time he just owned my ass. I don't know if I should be grateful or depressed.
"As I as was saying" Mr Saevatore continued "they will be getting married"
I closed my eyes and released a deep sigh.
And my life is over. There was no turning back now.
Whispers, taunts and snarky remarks began to fly across the room.
"Marriage? But they are so young"
"Could it be she's pregnant?"
"She was feeling dizzy, that must be it!"
"A Saevatore heir"
"Maybe they're trying to cover the pregnancy up with this marriage"
I rolled my eyes at the pregnant comments. How does this always land back on me?
"You will all be informed when the wedding date it set" Mr Saevatore said before ending it and walking off.
I felt my body being pushed back by Liam who gave me a long stare.
"Come" he ordered as he grasped my wrist and dragged me upstairs. Everyone was too busy gossiping to notice us leaving.
I silently followed Liam, who refused to speak.
Was he mad?
I couldn't help but feel tiny bit of disappointment.
He pulled us into a balcony which overlooked the enchanting night view.
I gasped and leaned forward, grasping the rail as I looked at the view ahead. I was a sucker for breathtaking scenery.
I felt Liam's hand grab mine and spin me around to face him.
His eyes were blazing with fire and his expression was nothing but anger.
"What the heck were you thinking?!" He snapped, his voice shaking with distress.
I gulped. "W-what?"
"You could've died!" He yelled, closing his eyes for a moment to take a deep breath. I felt my heart beat slowing down and instead my heart was forcing a sudden loud thumb every few seconds.
I could feel his frustration, anger, annoyance and hate towards me.

"I-I wasn't thinking" I mumbled, looking at him whilst he loosened his bow tie.
"Of course you weren't thinking!" He exclaimed "if you were, you wouldn't have pull that stupid stunt!"
I could feel anger rising inside of me. "I'm sorry" I apologised through gritted teeth.
He laughs drily. "Sorry?" He laughs again and shakes his head in disbelief.
"I said I'm sorry, what else do you want me to do?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.
I still couldn't understand why he was so angry at me. If he was worried about me- that was a very odd way of showing it.
He chuckles with pure anger.
"Do you hate me that much?" He asked, his voice suddenly sounding normal "enough to want to hurt yourself?"
I felt a pang of guilt hit me. My chest hurt at the thought and I could feel regret overwhelming me.
I never thought of it that way.
"I-no" I whispered. The anger washed away and instead hurt filled me. How could I have possibly been so stupid and not realise the affect of my action.
On him.
Liam sighed and ran his hands through his hair softly, breaking the smoothness. He ruffled it lightly.
"Jesus Adeline....if you wanted to be away from me that bad you could've just said" he grunts.
His eyes no longer showed anger or hate. They showed hurt and disappointment.
"I- I'm sorry..but marriage scares me" I said "it's such a big commitment and I'm making it over a fake relationship"
His eyes bore into mine. He stepped forward, leaving a small gap between us.
"I just want to marry you Adeline" he spoke softly "I'm not asking for you to sleep with me or have children with me or stay with me forever. I'm just asking you to sign a paper that says marriage"
I bit my lower lip as I looked down to the floor. I didn't know how to feel or say anything. His words stabbed my heart like a sharp knife.
His hand slid under my chin and pulled it up slightly to face him.
"a few months- a year the least and I'll let you go" he whispered.
I took a deep breath. A year and it will all be over. A year and I'll go back to my life. A year and I'll never see him again.
Just a year.
"Okay" I breathed "just a year"
A smile crept up on his lips as he leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on my lips.
My eyes widen in shock as he pulled away.
"Thank you" he mumbled, rubbing my hair before turning around and walking away leaving me dazed.
My mouth parted slightly as I felt my cheeks heat up.
He just kissed me, without the need to for other people to see.
He kissed me and walked away like it didn't mean anything.
My chest refused to calm down and my mind wasn't processing it properly. Why can't I calm down? It was just a kiss.
Why? Why do I feel like this when I'm with him, when he does something or says something. Why?
"Liam-" I suddenly called.
He stopped and spun around.
"I-"
His phone suddenly rang and I quickly shut my mouth closed.
What the heck was I just about to say?!
I shook the thought out of my head. By then Liam had already hung up. He was staring at me with a slightly shocked expression.
"That was Chris" he said.
I felt my blood pressure rise to the roof and my head Began to spin. His name never brought good news.
"What about -h-him?" I shuttered, feeling my hands shaking st the thought of Chris saying something stupid to Liam.
Fear washed over me as the thought of Liam knowing about the kisses. I only feared that Liam would hate me for not telling him.
"What happened between you two?" Liam asked, his voice suddenly sounding serious.
I gulped.
Oh no.
"He said he just wanted to say hello to you and wants to pick up from where you guys left off" Liam said.
I felt relief that Chris didn't say anything about the kiss or the fact that he knew everything.
Liam narrowed his eyes at me, stepping forward and pushing me back as I was pressed against the railing. He gripped onto the rails on each side of me, trapping me in between.
"What is going on between you two?" Liam groaned.
His face inches away from mine as his warm breath hit against my cold cheek.
I gulped. I squirmed under his intense stare. I couldn't tell him.
"N-nothing" I lied.
"Don't lie to me Adeline" he growled "tell me the damn truth now"
A shiver ran down my spine. I was panicking.
I didn't know what to do. How do I tell him?
"Adeline, now" he roared.
Everything about him scared me. His body language, his deadly stare and his growling voice. It wasn't Liam rather it was a very scary man who looked like him.
A marriage starts with the truth. Real or not, I'm about to be married to Liam. How could possibly hide this from him?
I took a deep breath.
"He knows" I calmly say "about us"
Liam's eyes flashed something and his jaw clenched tight.
'And?" Liam grunted, indicating me to continue. He knew that wasn't the end of it.
"He-he k-kissed me" I sutter.
Liam's expression didn't change which scared me even more.
"And?" He snarled.
"He-he tried to blackmail me" I whispered.
I regretted every word that came out of my mouth as Liam pushed himself back.
He began to walk again.
"Liam" I call, grabbing his arm and stepping in front of him. "Where are you going?"
He didn't look at me. His breathing became heavy and I could see his body shaking with anger.
He slightly shoved me to the side and continue to walk.
"Liam!" I screamed as I chased after him, trying to hold him back. He was too strong and kept pushing me away.
"where are you going?!" I screeched, praying he wasn't about to do what I was thinking.
Liam spun around and scowl formed against his lips.
"To kill that bastard"

RE: Souls War Apocalyse
When I and every other humans on earth have been summoned to the cursed world of Yvelmore, to serve as a front-line soldier in an impossible war against an invasion of nightmarish creatures, I knew right away that something was going to go wrong. I was right. The war? Hell, we lost it so much all the nations of the world have been destroyed and all the races have disappeared. Me? I was a veteran who survived until the end. Was I strong? Fuck yeah of course I was, except ... it was useless, I died like everybody else. The bad news? When I thought it was finally over, I woke up in the past, the moment I was summoned to the beginning of the war. Come on, seriously? Do I really have to go through all that again? What? And everything restarts every time I die? No... are you fucking kidding me? Right? Genre: Action, Adventure, Medieval Apocalypse, Times Loops, Progression, War & Fantasy, Grimdark, Magic, Horror, LitRPG (but RP). Tone: Despair at the firsts chapters (which makes sense for a story that begins with the end of the world, doesn't it?), and lots of humor and stupid situations after to lighten the tone of the story. (Oh, and the MC is NOT a psychopath, a rapist, a hypocrite, or human garbage, so sorry for those who like that, because I don't like that). Note: Expect this story to contain grammatical errors and occasional random conjugations. I am learning English, and I have made a lot of progress, but I still have some gaps. So if you're allergic to it, don't read this story, you would inevitably be disappointed.
