《Say I do》Chapter 13: a completely drunken mess

*unedited so it contains lots of grammar mistakes*
I crossed my legs one over another and banged my fist against the door. My pee was literally about to come out and if I have to wait another minute my pants will be drenched.
I panicked and grabbed the handle, pulling it so hard that it broke. The door creaked opened and I grinned.
"Sorry I just- holy cheese puffs!" I scream, covering my eyes in horror as I accidently saw a man having a pee.
"What the-" the man's grunts before I hear shuffling and the toilet flushing. I took this opportunity to quickly slip in. "I'm sorry I- move" I cut myself short and shove the guy out slamming the door.
"Can you hold it while I wee?!" I didn't wait for an answer and just quickly emptied my bladder. I sighed in relief.
It was 12am and out of all the things I could be doing right now; like watching the Original series, I was stuck at some random guys party, partly drunk. I only came for the food.
I felt happy as I washed up and skipped out of the bathroom.
I was suddenly stopped by the man from before. "Hey" he mumbles "wanna dance?"
Isn't this romantic?
I shrug and just nod my head. He pulls me to the dance floor and begins to dance while I stand like an awkward chicken.
I was confused whether I should twerk or grind. I decided to do the disco
My body movement and the song didn't match but what the heck- I was awesome.
The guy gave me a strange look. "You dance like that?"
I felt offended. My dancing was better than anyone's.
"I don't twerk, I disco" I smile.
He chuckled and shrugged before dancing with me "Fuck it. This is fun"
I laugh and we both dance in synchronise. My fun was rudely intrupted by Adrian.
"Adeline!" He yelled over the blaring music "what are you doing?"
I glare at home "dancing with my new buddy!" I say, nudging the guy who waved at Adrian.
Adrian sighed and tried to drag me away only for me to kick and scream. I wasn't going anywhere.
"Addy" he mumbled "you're drunk and you need to go home"
"No!" I scream, grasping on to the stranger. "I'm not leaving my dancing friend"
Adrian was about to beat my ass but he contained it. "Give me your phone" he ordered.

I pulled it out of my bra and placed it on his hand. He looked at me horrified whilst I smiled.
He shakes his head before he began to call someone.
"It's Adrian" he mumbled to the caller "long story short. Addys drunk and about to cheat on you so come and pick her drunk ass up"
I gasped and snatched the phone out of his hand. "I'm not drunk" I said to the caller.
"Adeline" the voice sighed and it was so familiar yet so difficult to grasp.
"..mom.."
"No you idiot. It's Liam"
I frown upon hearing his name.
"I don't want to talk to you" I snarl.
"Tough. Now where the Fuck are you?"
I flinched at his voice and refused to give him an answer. I quickly hung up and shoved my phone down my bra so Adrian couldn't take it.
"Adeline you-"
"Bye!" I chirp, sliding into the crowd. I felt my stomach twist and the air was intoxicating. I managed to stumble outside where the cold breeze hit my skin like a truck.
I shiver and almost go flying onto the concrete if it wasn't for my reflex move. I winced as pain short through my legs.
I kicked of my heels which Katelyn made me wear. I was also wearing a short ass dress which hardly covered my legs. I dropped to the floor and catered my bleeding foot.
I sighed as an image of Liam appeared on my mind and my fist itching to punch him.
Although it was me whole broke off the fake engagement a tiny part of me hoped he'd come after me. He never did.
I felt hurt which I couldn't understand why. The relationship was based on business so why the heck does it hurt so much?
I shivered as the cold breeze past me.
"Adeline"
My body froze as he approached me. His chest heaving up and down like he ran a marathon. His breath mixing with the air and forming smoke.
I gulped hard as he stood in front of me.
"Liam I-" part of me couldn't help but feel happy that he was here.
"What do you think you're doing?!" He snapped cutting me off, squeezing my cheek as I cry out in pain.
"Liam you jerk!" I pout, as he bends down to my level and grabs the other one.
"Do you know what you've put me through?" He asked between gritted teeth.

"Ow ow owwwww" I cry, slapping his hands which refused to move. I take it back, that part of me regretted feeling happy for once.
"I didn't ask you to come!" I yell.
He sighed and drops his hands. I rub my swollen cheek and glare at him.
"I didn't have a choice" he said "what if someone tried to kill you?"
I roll my eyes. "You'd be happy"
He frowns and ruffles my hair like a child's.
"Don't be stupid" he whispered, with a half smile "if you're dead..who's going to be my fiancée?"
I scowl at him and slap his hand. "Not the hair"
He chuckled at my childish behaviour and gently stroked my hair. "You look like a mess" he mumbled.
Just when I was about to get used to him he had to ruin the damn moment. "Shut up"
He smirks. His eyes drifted towards my body and his eyebrows furrowed disapprovingly.
"You're hurt" he states, his hand grabbing my feet to observe them. My heart began to race as his eyes carefully scanned my bleeding foot.
He didn't speak and instead began to take his shoes off and push them to me. I watched him slip each feet into the shoes like prince charming.
I felt a blush creeping up my cheeks. "What are you going to wear?"I ask "my heels?"
He rolls his eyes "no" he replied "the size's too small"
A laugh escaped my lips as he pulled me up to stand up. His arms snaked around my waist and I was too tired to protest.
"Give me your phone" Liam said.
"Why?"
He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "I uh, forgot my car keys and phone in the office and got a taxi here"
I furrowed my eyebrows "why didn't you go back to get it?"
He licked his lips and avoided eye contact. "I thought you'd probably be passed out somewhere by the time I went back up"
My heart thumbed and I fiddled with my fingers. I couldn't let my heart actually believe that he was concerned about me.
I pulled the phone out of the bra and place it on his palm. He just stared at me with a blank expression.
"Adeline, it's warm"
I snort "enjoy the heat"
He stiffened a laugh and shook his head. He secretly turned around to laugh. I watched him make a phone call and I was too tired to eavesdrop.
"I'll hold on to it" Liam chuckled and shoved it down his pocket. He took off his blazer and wrapped it around my shoulder.
"You do remember that we're broken up right?" I ask.
He nods "I know"
"Then why are you here?"
"Am I not allowed to be concerned?"
Thumb.
"No"
He frowned. "Why?"
I bit my lower lip. "Because we're nothing but business partners"
He looked taken back by my words and his blank expression changed to something I couldn't put my finger on.
"I can still be concerned" he replied with a shrug.
"Well don't" I said "because you're giving me the wrong signals"
He raised his eyebrow as we stopped in our tracks. His body turned to face me and his eyes dug into mine.
"What?" He asked.
I gulped hard "stop making me feel like you care when you don't. You leave for a week and don't bother to call. Your excuse was that you didn't need to. Do you know how long I've been waiting for your call?"
"Adeline-"
"Stop giving me the wrong signals. Stop acting like you care. I just really hate you"
Liam licked his lips. He sighed and ran his hands through his messy hair. He closed his eyes before flickering them open.
He stepped forward, closing the gap between us. I grit my teeth and my body squirm in discomfort.
"I hate..I hate.." my breath hitched it in my throat and I felt like my words were stuck. His eyes refused to move away from mine and his head began to lean.
My mind froze but my body was responding.
My heart beat raising and my stomach twisted into a knot.
Uh oh.
My head lunged forward and my stomach emptied all the content all over Liam.
I felt him sigh heavily.
"Adeline, what do I do with you?"

Julia Waits
The melting ice caps have let something out: a sound. A sound loud enough to be heard across the Pacific. It's called Julia, and it may be history's greatest discovery, but some songs are better unheard. Curiousity begs to be sated, as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration work to find the source of this unusual sound, the team they put together to explore the southern pole find themselves in a struggle for survival that pits them against time, against each other, and against something that defies definition.
8 203Moonshot
Gregarious businessman Evin Tumble is fascinated by the sudden and inexplicable appearance of a low-orbiting moon. Specifically, he's interested in shooting it down with a giant cannon. The moon is only about eight miles overhead, but it's high enough and quick enough that nobody can reach it by balloon or airship. He hires our protagonists: taciturn Iseult Morrin, cheerful Sean Whelan, and nervous Íde Ceallaigh, to help him with his obsession. As our heroes are dispersed across the continent to perform tasks for Tumble, and the moon-hunt draws closer, they become increasingly suspicious of their benefactor's motives and true nature. Moonshot is a story centred around struggling with confidence, the difficulty of being an immigrant, and the duality of truth, all clad in the trappings of an urban fantasy. It is character-driven, from the heart, and based on tropes and ideas that are missing from a lot of contemporary fantasy (a push beyond the flawless-yet-somehow-still-needs-rescuing-by-an-oafish-man heroine trope, a touch of cosmic magic based on the shared geometries of Celtic and Arab art).
8 116Holmes: the case of dead man's sleep
Holmes has become bored with the lack of interesting cases. When Mr. Joey Deets sends Holmes a note asking him to look into a bizarre case of suicide at his company. Holmes is dying to accept the new challenge and a challenge it is, as both Cain and Holmes begin to suspect there's more to Scott Flout's death than just a really bad case of the Mondays.
8 242Nexus
Not a real reincarnation. Welcome to Nexus. A place where the multiverse intersects. Chris Garcia was trying to do the right thing for his sibling when he is shot and killed. Instead of his soul moving on to the next life. He is given another opportunity. Well of course he takes it. Or there will be no story. He gets some ability then dumped into the Nexus. He has much to learn, lucky for him, his ability brings him allies so he won’t die so quickly. (This is my attempt to improve my writing skill. Constuctive criticism are highly welcome) *Note: Some things will develop fast. Other will be a slow burner. Tags will be added as I progress the story. (Honestly, I have no idea where this story is going anymore). Please don't rate this story yet. Give me till 100 chapter to figure out what I'm doing haha. If I can simply entertain some of the readers, that's enough for me. Thanks for taking the time to read! I decide to not edit past chapters. Only touch up on grammers if I get around to it. I want to see the progression of my writing skill.
