*unedited so it contains lots of grammar mistakes*
I stared at him, sleeping. He slept on his stomach, with his head resting on his arm. His lips were formed into a small pout and his breathing reminded me of how peacefully he slept.
While I slept like shit.
I tilted the glass of water and watched it drip onto Liam's head. He woke up startled and his whole body swung like some ninja.
"Adeline" he grunted, as his eyes darkened "you are dead"
I giggled like a child and ran out of the room and soon I could hear his heavy steps behind me.
"Moom!" I cried, grabbing onto Julie as she suddenly appeared to view. I hid behind her as Liam approached us. He tried to pass by his mom but I used her as my shield.
"What are you two doing?" Julie asked, pushing her son back as he kept lunging towards me.
"It's nothing mom" Liam replied, "let me just grab her"
I squealed as Liam almost grabbed me "he said he's going to kill me" I snitch, smirking at Liam. Julie's eyes widen in horror.
"Look what she did" Liam groaned, pointing at his wet hair that fell on his forehead. I bite my lip as Julie laughed.
"Take her" she smirked, moving aside and giving Liam the chance to grab me. I gasped in shock, heart broken that she betrayed me. Not as heart broken as the time my food got taken away but it was close.
My heart breaks are all because of Liam
"Gotcha" he whispered in my ear, as he held onto my wrist, my back facing his body.
"Ha!" he happily yells. I give him a dirty look.
"Who put you in a bad mood?" He chuckles.
I laugh drily. "Oh I don't know" I began "maybe it was some jerk who moved like a whale all night and threw himself on me. Oh and how could I forget when you slept like a starfish, leaving me to sleep on the edge of the bed"
The struggle was real
Liam pouted his lips before speaking "guess you'll just have to get used to it"
"Will I heck" I spat and he took this opportunity to twist his arm, making mine follow and I fake a scream.
"It hurts!" I cry, whipping my head towards him, begging him to let go. I felt his grip loosen and his eyes softened for a moment.
"Aha!" I exclaim, kicking him on the leg. "Gotcha" I mimic his voice as he fell to the ground wincing in pain.
I roll my eyes as Liam goes full on drama mode and rolls on the ground like I've kicked him in the groin. Maybe I should've done that.
"Please" I snort, "you're such a drama queen"
Liam glances at me and winks. He began to roll again, this time screaming in pain.
I completely forgot that Julie was behind and just witnessed this whole drama. I cautiously turn to face her wrath. Her eyes just stared at me in shock as a small smile played on my lips.

"I'll go make breakfast.." I mumble with a awkward laugh before running down the stairs.
Just at that moment I could hear Julie laugh.
"So you're both OK?" She asks.
"Were okay" Liam replied.
I felt a smile creep up on my lips as I began to roam into the kitchen looking for something to make. I finally manage to finish making the pancakes Just in time for Julie and Liam to walk in.
"Smells good" Julie smiled.
"Thank-"
"What even is that" Liam interrupts me at my proud moment. My smile drops and I snarl at him. "Pancakes"
He snorts "pancakes, right"
"Fine, don't eat it!" I hiss as I take a huge bite and stuff my mouth with it. He laughs as he makes his own coffee.
I turn to look at Julie, who was already staring at me and Liam in awe. She sighed "you both really do suit" she mumbled, as she stuffed food in her mouth.
I choked on my food and Liam whisked in as a Knight, slapping my back to help. When I say slap, it was more like he was slapping a punching bag.
"We dont-"
"We do" Liam cut me off and kissed my hair softly, as his arm rubbed my shoulder like we were close. Bitch, not after the whole small breast thing we ain't.
"I was worried when your fath-" Julie paused when she realised what she had said. Liam's body stiffened and I glanced between them two.
"Is that why you're here?" Liam asked, his voice suddenly turning deep "because of him?"
Julie sighed and pushed the plate of pancakes away. I frowned. But I thought you liked my pancakes
"Liam-"
"Why are you really here mom?" He groaned, cutting her off. I could sense he was beginning to get angry so I took a few steps away, sliding the plate of food with me just in case he decided to release his anger on my poor pancakes.
Julie just stared at her son for a moment before she spoke again.
"I was worried" she said "your father said you both weren't real. You were faking it all so I was worried"
I felt a lump form in my throat as I anticipated for her words to come out. Shit.
"But, you both look genuine. You have fights like usual people and make up in the end. That's real to me. Your father was wrong" she finished and I released the breath I was holding. Liam just grunted and slammed his coffee mug on the counter.
The awkwardness was real between them two as I was stuck in between. "Pancakes?" I ask with a hint of hope that Liam would say yes. He just glared at me instead.
The mood was finally broken when someone walks in through the front door and into the kitchen. For fuxk sake. Help me.
"Morning" Chris chirped, placing his Starbucks on the counter. His eyes landed on me and I could feel his smirk coming.

"What are you doing here?" Liam asks, scratching the back of his head. Chris chuckled "Julie called and said the 3 of us should go shopping"
Me and Liam give each other a 'what the f?' Face and our eyes land on Julie.
"Maybe Adeline needs more clothes" she said and I bit my lips. She's suspicious.
Liam was about to oppose but I just nudged him to go along with it. "Fine" he grunts before going upstairs to change. He finally comes down and I couldn't be happier. It was dreadful standing next to Chris who just wouldn't shut up.
"Let's go" Chris says and I roll my eyes.
We follow behind and get into his car. The whole ride was awkward as heck as all Liam and Chris did was talk about girls they used to date. Nice one Liam. You're the best fake fiancee anyone could have (!)
Jerk.
"Let's go" Liam said, wrapping his arms around my waist as we arrived and I smiled making sure Chris saw and would just back off.
"You guys are close" Chris suddenly spoke and Liam raised his brow at him.
"She's mine" he said and at that moment I felt my heart skip a beat. I should be dead right now so why am I still breathing. "Of course were going to be close"
Chris faked a smile and held his hand up in surrender. "Just kidding bro"
Liam just chuckled and stuck his tongue out at me. I rolled my eyes and hid my face to cover my blushing cheeks.
We finally arrived at forever 21 and a scream escaped my lips.
"Did you say I can buy anything?" I ask Liam, excited like a puppy dog.
"Well yeah but-"
"Thanks!" I cut him off before running around the shop like a wild child. Finally, Liam was giving some of his money. This fake thing is finally worth it. Maybe he'll let me buy unlimited supply of food too!
I gawked at the dresses and my eyes fell in love with a few. I bit my lip as I glanced behind at the boys who looked bored already.
"I'm trying these on!" I squeal before running into the changing rooms. I quickly slipped on the dresses and twirled around like I was in a movie.
"You look hot" a voice spoke and I jumped in shock.
"You scared me" I hiss, looking at Liam through the mirror. He leaned against the frame and his eyes scanned me carefully. I felt a brush creep up on my lips and I wanted to hide under a cave.
"Go away you perv" I muttered, flapping my arms in the air to dismiss him. He chuckled before pushing himself up right.
"Perv?" He frowns "it's not perving if I'm looking at my fiancee"
I snort "yeah keep thinking that"
He laughs and closes the curtains leaving me shook. Dear heart, why the heck are you beating so fast?!
I tried to get the dress off but the zip got stuck. I sighed in frustration after trying for 2 minutes. I bit my lip and opened my mouth to something I was going to regret.
"Liam.." I mumbled hoping he was still outside "the zips stuck..I need your help"
I cursed at myself imagining Liam's smug smile when he walks in. I face the wall when I felt him walk in.
His cold hands touched against my skin as he pulled on the zip. Something about his touch didn't feel right but I ignored the feeling.
I sigh "is it broken?" I ask.
"Yeah"
My body tensed and I spun around to see Chris hovering over me. "What the heck are you doing in here?" I snap at him.
He shrugs "Liam's making a call and you sounded desperate"
I glare at him "I'm fine, please leave"
Chris rolled his eyes as a chuckle escapes his lips. He sighed as he ran his hands through his hair. "Can't we be friends?" He frowns.
I gulp "no"
He slams his arm against the wall, trapping me between his arms. I try to stay calm but I could feel my body beginning to shake. Why was I so afraid?
"Why are you doing this?" I ask him, calmly. His eyes dug into mine as if he was looking for an answer.
"Because" he trailed off "I'm interested in you"
I bit my lip as I felt a shiver ran down my spine. His words dug into me like sharp edges of a knife. It didn't feel good.
"I'm engaged to your best friend" I hissed.
He chuckled drily. He pushed himself back, leaning against the wall. He shoved his hands down his pockets and a smile played on his lips.
Something about his actions didn't feel right and I wasn't getting a good feeling.
His smile turned into a smirk and my stomach twisted into a knot.
He licked his lips before opening his mouth to speak.
"I know it's all fake baby"

The Undead Revolution
This was my first attempt at writing a story, in hiatus indefinitely. This story follows Silvy, half-elf, a rare race despised by both humans and elves. Having never met her father, the first years of her life were spent together with her mother, who had to leave her native village because of the blasphemy she had committed by giving birth to Silvy. At the age of eight, Silvy became an orphan and was left to fend for herself. Her mother had died of illness, Silvy’s life turning upside down: the child went from living in a modest but cozy home with poor but daily meals to live outside the walls in the slums, where crime was commonplace and food was scarce. Luck had yet to abandon her completely though, because a group of orphans like Silvy decided to help, integrating her into their group and teaching the tricks of the trade; that is, stealing and swindling. But fate had not yet finished playing with her. Kidnapped and frightened, her life will turn upside down again when she awakens as undead, but still able to think clearly.

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)
