My eyes caught Adrian's and panic washed over me. My little legs began to pick up pace and I started to run. "Adeline!" Adrian screamed and I spun my head to see him chasing me. "You are dead!" He threatened with pure venom in his voice.

Adrian is seriously about to murder me for being MIA for almost 3 weeks at work. He also messaged me and I kinda might have accidentally ignored him which, of course I feel bad about.

"Adeline" he called after me as his pace began to slow. I grinned like a child and stuck my tongue out teasing him about how lazy he was. Adrian might look fit physically but he could barely run down the stairs. I was too distracted to notice a figure standing in my way and ended up colliding with them. "ouch" I moan, rubbing the growing lump forming on my forehead. "Jesus, Adeline.. You haven't given up on that concussion have you?" The familiar voiced chuckled.

"Aha!" Adrian's voice screeched in my ear before I felt him grab me by my waist and hold me down "you though you'd get away". He didn't give me a chance to apologise to the figure and instantly I started to argue with him "I wasn't running" I state.

He snorts "then what were you doing? exercising?"

I roll my eyes and nod my head "yes actually". Adrian's eyes showed no sympathy as he held me in a headlock. "Adrian, let me explain" I plead, pretending to choke. He chuckles and tightens his grip and I curse under my breath. I wasn't expecting to get murdered by my best friend today

"ahem" a voice coughed, clearing their throat and catching our attention. Our eyes drifted towards the figure from before and I almost lost footing and took Adrian down to my grave with me. Luckily, I somehow managed to grab onto him and we were both in an awkward position. "Liam" I breathe and Adrian's arms automatically drop me. I almost fell but grabbed onto his jacket like my whole life depends on it. "Adrian, you ass!" I hiss and he quickly grabs me.

I wack him on the back of the head as I fix my posture. I quickly adjust my clothes and turn to face Liam. His face showed pure annoyance and his eyes glared at Adrian who seemed at bit nervous. It was like a boyfriend meeting the dad for the first time.

"Liam" I say "this is Adrian my-"

"youhoooooo" A familiar voice sang, cutting me off. I spin my head to see the three aliens walking towards me. Ashley, Megan and Katelyn had huge grins on their face as they spotted Liam. Here goes nothing.

"hello" Ashley greeted as she ogled Liam. I roll my eyes and nudge Liam to smile which he has been failing to do so. Jesus, did I not clearly tell this guy to look more 19 and not 23? He still turned up in his suit. It looks new, maybe this is his way of looking 19

"Guys this is-"

I was rudely cut of by Megan holding her hand up before they all circled around Liam, scanning him from head to toe. "Armani suit" Katelyn said and I gave them an odd expressions. how the heck can they even tell? I can't tell between cheap clothes and expensive clothes. They all look the same

"business man" Ashley said, nodding in approval. "good hair" Megan spoke and it continued on "big- uh good figure" Ashley muttered, blushing deep red and I mentally slapped myself. Please pretend we didn't hear that.

"Are you all done?" Liam suddenly spoke in his husky voice, catching them off guard. They all huddled around me, all of a sudden their confidence dropped. "taking a picture is less time consuming" Liam states, as a matter of fact which, totally mirrored his cocky attitude.

Oh God Liam, can you not be yourself for one day?

They all giggled like children and I just rolled my eyes. "Well" Liam began "it's nice to meet you all, but I have to attend work"

I felt arms push me and I stumbled into Liam's arms. "he can't leave!" they hissed at me and Liam gave me an odd expression. I fake a laugh and nudge Liam to bend down. "Please" I whispered "you have to stay"

He grunts "I have work"

I batter my eyelashes "I need you"

A smile crept up on his lips and he stiffened a laugh "only if you beg". My mouth parted slightly at his condition and I wanted to wack him straight on the head but refrained from doing so. "Please, please" I say between gritted teeth. His lips parted, showing his pearly white teeth. "fine"

I jump up and wrap my arms around him in delight. "gosh stop showing off Addy" Ashley moans, shoving me whilst they all walk off. "is that your car?" They ask, pointing to a limo.

I blink a few times and slap Liam on the shoulder "why the heck did you bring that?" I hiss as my friends gawk at the car. Liam frowned "I just wanted to look cool"

I roll my eyes and watch them practically go in without an invitation. I was so embarrassed, they were behaving like children. Adrian on the other hand, awkwardly stood near the car. I smile and link my arm with his "loosen up Adri" I exclaim "Liam won't fire you"

Adrian's eyes snapped towards Liam who licked his lips before nodding "I can't fire my Fiancee's best friend"

I grin "see!"

Adrian felt like he could breath again and sighed heavily "oh Thank God" he utters before hopping into the car and dragging me with him. We all shuffled over as Liam got in. "how old are you?" Megan asked, as the car began to drive. "23" Liam answered with confidence.

They all stared at me "I didn't know you were into older men" Ashley snorts and I glare at them.

Liam cleared his throat and I stiffened a laugh. "how long have you guys been dating?"

"8 months!" I scream before Liam even had the chance to process it.

"how come you've never mentioned him before?" Adrian asked, narrowing his eyes at me. They all had suspicion written on their face. "it wasn't serious" I blurt and Liam snorts. "when did it become serious?" Kate asked.

"when I proposed" Liam answered.

They all nodded very slowly, processing it all. There was a long silence until Ashley yells at the driver "turn the music up!" she snaps at the poor man who looked scared as he followed her order. "and loosen up Liam" she smirks. I glanced at Liam who looked stiff as a statue.

His lips formed into a smile before he took his blazer off, revealing his white shirt with rolled up sleeves. I regret to say I ended up checking him out and got caught- by everyone .

Liam couldn't control his laughter and my friends were embarrassed of me when really it was the other way round. "where are we going?" I ask and Ashley grins with a evil smile.

"the beach"

My eyes widen in horror and I curse under my breath. Liam was clueless and the poor thing has no idea whats coming for him.

Let me tell you why I never had a boyfriend. When ever I did like a guy, my friends would take him to the beach and practically try to drown the guy to see if he really did like me. Unfortunately, no guy could understand why he was being murdered so they never talked to me again.

I'm about to be dumped by Liam.

"we're here Sir" The driver announces and Liam nods. we all get out and the beautiful view of the beach caught my eyes. I grinned and looked at the aliens before we all threw our shoes off and ran down the beach. We screamed from the bottom of our lungs as we raced to the water. "I won!" I screamed, as I fell into the water, face first.

I heard laughter and picked myself up to see them laughing. My eyes caught Liam, gracefully walking towards us. His hands were shoved down his pockets and he wore a faint smile on his face. His hair blew to the side by the strong wind and I felt a tug in my heart.

"Doesn't he look beautiful?" Megan whispered in my ear and I grin uncontrollably, "yeah"

They all bust into a fit of laughters and shove me into the water. I drag them with me and we all began a water fight. Just when Liam approached us they all abandoned me and grabbed Liam, dragging him into the waters ignoring his protest.

"no no no no" He grunts but by then it was too late. He was shoved into the water as the waves hit us. I couldn't stop laughing at Liam's blank expression as he sat in the water, drenched. "what are you laughing at?" he snaps at me, before lunging towards me and dragging me in with him. I squeal and splash water onto his face as he wraps his arms around me. "Stop!" I shriek, as he splashes water in my face.

Liam laughed and stood up, picking me up. His strong arms held me tight as I glared at him. Water dripping from his hair, he gave me a smirk and I knew exactly what he was going to do. "Liam no-" He threw us both into the water and I felt myself falling deep before I swam up. I gasped for air and I held onto Liam who floated beside me. His laughter echoed in my ear and I could see him enjoying himself.

"I hate you" I frown and he wraps his arms around me, pulling me closer. "I know" He smiles.

My friends all joined in and jumped "you passed the test!" Kate screams as they all cling onto Liam, "congratulations you can now officially date our child!"

Liam kinda got the clue and he just chuckled "thanks" He mutters with sarcasm and they shove him into the water. My laughter was uncontrollable as Liam looked as he was going to murder us all. He smirked and grabbed everyone and splashed water in their face. The whole time I couldn't stop smiling.

It was beginning to get cold and we all were freezing out butts off. We waited until we were dry enough and got inside the car. Liam noticed I was freezing an threw his blazer at me. I smiled and my friends gave us an 'awe' expression. "where to now?" I ask.

"we need coffee" Liam said and the driver nods before he drives off. The whole drive was hectic. Liam and Ashley were throwing shades at each other whilst we all watched like it was a movie. I couldn't be happier to finally arrive at a cafe.

"you guys are such losers" I snort. It wasn't long until I felt them jump me, "you're a loser for hanging with us" Adrian said, rubbing his knuckles on my head and I wince in pain. We all walk in with a fit of laughters.

Adrian guides us to a table in the corner to fit all six of us. "You guys want the usual?" I ask and they all nod. Liam comes with me as we go to order. I noticed a girl with grey hair having her back facing us. She spins around and smiles.

"can we get 5 cappuccinos?" I ask with a smile. My eyes land on her name tag, Ava. Ava had beautiful grey hair and blue eyes which stood out. She was tall and beautiful. I glance at Liam "what do you want to get, Liam?" I ask.

He thinks for a moment before purchasing his lips and answering. "I'll have a caffe latte"

Ava began to type it in but Liam stopped her "actually I'll have black coffee"

Once again he stops her, "you know what, I'll stick to latte"

I roll my eyes and hiss at him, "just pick one, it's not hard"

"are you final with the order?" She ask politely but I could tell she was annoyed with Liam as much as I was.

Liam opens his mouth to probably change his mind again but I beat him to it. "yes! that's fine. thank you. could you bring it to our table?"

She gives me a small nod and I wave a little goodbye before dragging Liam back. We paused for a moment as I eavesdropped on my friends conversation. "they're not very physical" Ashley whispers and I snap my head towards Liam. "be touchy!" I hiss and he snorts before kissing me on the cheek.

They spin around and gave us an awkward smile. "touchy" I nudge at him before we sit down. He winks "as much as you want baby" He whispers in my ear, making me shiver. ew no you perv

Liam suddenly gets a call and he excuses himself. My friends take this opportunity to ask what's been eating on their mind "have you guys had sex?" Megan asks and Adrian slaps her shoulder. I cringe and shake my head quickly "no!"

Adrian snorts "she's too innocent"

They all sigh with disappointment. What sort of friends are they?

I glance over at Liam who was talking to an unfamiliar man. They seemed like they knew each other.

Liam came back and everyone pretended like nothing went down. "we gotta go" he said, grabbing my arm and pulling me up. I gave him an odd expression. "my mothers coming to stay with us" he said and I gulp.

I quickly say my goodbyes and get into the car. "why are you panicking?" I ask. It wasn't a big deal.

He furrows his eyebrows "because my house has no evidence of you staying there"

I bite my lip, "we can get some of my stuff from mine now"

He shakes his head and checks his phone "we can't" he says "shes coming now"
