*unedited so it contains lots of grammar mistakes*
I glared at the man who sat opposite me. His elbow resting on his knees as he sat leaning forward. His eyes dug into mine as he waited for me to respond.
"Do I look like a gold digger to you?" I asked with sass in my tone. His eyes scanned me carefully.
I shut my eyes closed. I felt Liam moving and my eyes snapped open to meet his light brown eyes. His body hovered over mine and I uncomfortably squirmed under him.
I swallowed the lump that formed in my throat. A sly smile was playing on his lips as he enjoyed teasing me. "Do you really want me to answer that?" He asked cockily.
I frowned "don't..answer that" I muttered between gritted teeth.
My attire wasn't exactly shouting 'normal girl'. I blame Adrian.
"Can you stop? We're not that close" I snapped referring to the fact that he was practically on top of me.
He frowned.
"but we're engaged" he chuckled. I glared at him
"fake engaged" I corrected him.
He opened his mouth to speak only to be disrupted by the door which flung open and Julie came in. Liam almost tripped over as he moved away from me. Our posture looked wrong, too wrong
"Oh my" Julie shrieked "I should have knocked" she giggled covering her mouth.
I stood up from my chair "it's not like that!" I said trying to justify myself "he was just-"
"I don't think my mom needs to know that" Liam cleared his throat, cutting me off. He sneakily winked at me. This jerk.
"Ah right, everyone's waiting for you both" she said "I'll wait outside".
She stepped out, closing the door behind her. I snapped my head towards Liam
"you're such a jerk" I huffed "now she's going to think we did something!"
He snorted "so? We're engaged. That's what engaged couples do".
"Uh you're clearly forgetting that we aren't a couple and I never agreed to it".

He laughed drily "you did the moment you said yes"
I blew out a heavy sigh. There was no way I could get through this idiots rock hard brain. He picked his blazer and threw it on.
"Come on" he said holding his hand out.
I rolled my eyes.
"no thanks"
I walked out with him trailing behind me.
"You're so sassy" he whispered with a grunt. I sneakily flipped him off. I felt him poke me in annoyance.
"Ah Adeline, you should meet the family" Julie announced as a group of people surround us. I nudged Liam.
"I can't do this" I whispered to him. He groaned as I accidentally hit him in the rib. Not that he didn't deserved it.
"You cause so much trouble" he murmured under his breath but I heard him and nudged him harder. He grabbed my arm to stop me from breaking his ribs, which I was aiming for.
"What do you want me to do?" He whispered back as some random people started to introduce themselves to me.
"Make a damn lie up!" I hissed at him.
He sighed in frustration "sorry" Liam began as he cleared his throat "but Adelines not feeling good so I'm taking her home".
He grabbed my wrist and dragged me out through the crowd as they all complained. I sighed in relief.
Liam suddenly stopped and I hit against him "what are you-"
I was cut off by a figure standing in our way. It was the creepy man from before.
"Not staying?" He asked, his voice full of venom.
Liam clenched his jaw "no" he replied. They both continued to stare at each other for a while.
They both looked very similar to each other, almost uncle and nephew? I don't know where my detective side came out from.
"Anyone would think you're trying to hide your new relationship" the man laughed with a fake tone.
Liam grunted. "There's nothing to hide"
"Then why don't you let everyone get to know your Fiancée?"

Liam glanced at me and I was pratically begging him to say no. I would probably slip up and ruin the whole thing including my whole life.
"We can't" Liam said.
The man was agitated "why not?"
Liam hesitated for a moment. His small brain was probably trying to make up some excuse. He finally spoke again
"her periods late" he blurted out and I looked at him in horror.
He didn't dare to look down at me. What the heck was he doing?! What has my period got anything to do with this?! I mean who the heck talks about- wait
"you think I'm pregnant?!" I shrieked, and realised I accidentally said that out loud. Everyone gasped and I slapped my forehead. "No no I was just-"
"ah..no wonder you wanted to keep your relationship hidden" his mom muttered with a hint of delight in her voice "you wanted to get married as soon as possible so you you could announce the pregnancy".
Julie was delighted not realising that her son actually made the lie up to cover the bigger lie up.
I shook my head and tugged on Liams arm to get me out of this mess. I will kill this man.
"We need to get home" he quickly responds before dragging me out of there.
The moment we went outside I pulled my arm out of his.
"My period, really?" I huffed.
He shrugged and shoved his hands down his pocket. "My mind was blank"
"Blank my ass. You just wanted to drag me into this".
His car rolled up and my eyes popped out of my head. Holy Potato he forget to mention that he was rich, really rich.
"Get in" he ordered. I roll my eyes
"I'm pregnant. Shouldn't you open the door for me?"
He snorted "get in before I throw you in"
I glared at him and got in. I slowly dragged the belt over myself as I admired the inside of his car.
"Stop gawking" he said
I frowned. I sneaked my phone out and took a few pictures. I quickly slipped it back in, clearing my throat.
"You're staying at mines tonight" he suddenly announced.
I laughed "excuse me?"
He glanced at me. "My mum will turn up in the middle of the night. You have to be there"
I couldn't believe this. The more I tried to get out of this mess the more he drags me in. It was my own stupid fault for saying yes. What sort of an idiot agrees to some strangers proposal? an idiot like....me.
"I can't pretend to be your fake pregnant Fiancée"
He sighed "Just tell them you got your period and then the pregnancy shit is over". It wasn't that simple. "And the fiancee thing, I really need you to do this" he sighed "I'm desperate"
I raised a brow. "Why?"
He bit his lips and paused for a moment. "My grandfather's dying. This was his last wish"
I felt a pang of guilt. I glanced at him but couldn't look me in the eye which made me feel like he was hiding something else. I bit my lip and threw my head back. Adeline don't you dare
I can't believe I was actually considering this.
"If I say yes, will you buy me food?"
He chuckled "as much as you want"
I bit my lip "OK but only for a month"
"3 month"
"Don't push it. 2 months"
He smiled. "Deal"
