《Mesmerizing Mr. Mafia》Mr. Family Man

"It's too quiet," I said before unwrapping myself from Angelo's arms just to sit up a little bit.

Every parent knows that when the house is quiet, that's when you should start to freak out. Chaos was about to be unveiled.

We were all watching a movie, it was a good one. So good that I didn't even see Sophia get up and leave the room. "Where'd she go?" Angelo asked.

"I don't know," we both got off the couch and went down separate sides of the house. Angelo went towards Sophia's room, and I went towards our room. She's taken an interest in it recently. "Soph," I looked around the room, no daughter.

I did see a light on in the bathroom though, so I quickly approached. I pushed the door open while hoping for the best, but expecting the very worst.

And there I saw my toddler covered in toilet paper. The floor was covered in toilet paper. Everything was covered in toilet paper. "What are you doing, Soph?" I asked before picking her up, out of the mess.

"This marker doesn't work, mommy," she held up the thing I was sure I had thrown away.

I took it away from her little hand and threw it away again. "That's because it's not a marker, baby."

Never in my whole life have I been so glad that Angelo wasn't around.

"Oh. Than what is it?"

"Don't worry about it now, ok?"

"Ok."

"Did you find her?!" Angelo shouted from inside the bedroom.

We walked out of the bathroom and into the bedroom where Angelo was, "Sì, signore."

"Ah, finally catching onto the language. Beautiful," he started throwing pillows off the bed and moving the blankets around to suit his fancy. The man knew what he liked, "I'm going to sleep. Goodnight, my hamsters."

I set Sophia down on the bed after realizing that sleep seemed like a good idea and she couldn't be left unattended.

"Why do you call us hamsters?" Soph asked while giving Angelo the weirdest look.

"Thank your mommy. She started it."

"How?"

"She didn't like my other nicknames and wanted a new one. So she got hamster."

"Can we get a hamster?"

"No. You have a dog."

My secondary support system was here with me. That meaning, Alessandra and Lilly. Camilla was here too to keep Sophia company. The two were best buds.

Angelo was gone doing his mafia stuff, so I could basically say whatever I wanted to them.

"Getting here was actually a pain in the ass," Alessandra said while joining Lilly and I at the table, "Like I suspected it would be. I mean I knew it was going to be guarded, I didn't think it would be that guarded though."

"I know," Lilly jumped in, "They gave me a pat down the first time. Did you guys get your badges yet?"

"We got temporary ones 'cause we're not staying here long," Alessandra answered.

"Do you guys have restrictions on yours?" I asked.

"Yeah. Mine says S10," Lilly said.

"So does mine, and Soph's says S8-10. What does that mean?"

"Well, sector 10 is the arsenal I think. Eight is where the clubs are and I don't know what nine is."

"Beats me," Alessandra shrugged. "So why'd you call us here? Must be important 'cause we haven't all been together in awhile. You look a little on edge too."

"Well..."

"Why are you so freaky today?" Dom asked.

I thought I was acting fairly normal, it was kind of hard for me to do at this point though. What has been seen, cannot be unseen. "I'm not. Why do you ask?"

"You're just...I don't know...not all here."

"Yeah, you're being weird. I agree," Marco added.

"What's up? Who do we gotta kill?"

"No one."

I got weird looks from both of them, "What happened to Chloe? I'm 99.9 percent positive that this has something to do with her. You don't really care about anything else nowadays."

"I found something this morning," was all I said on the matter, "Now get out."

It had been five whole minutes since I told these two exactly what was going on and they were still screaming like crazy people. Soph and Camilla even came wandering into the dining room to see what was up.

"Why are you screaming mommy?" Cami asked Alessandra.

Alessandra calmed down a bit but Lilly kept on going, "Grown up stuff, sweetheart."

"Are we the only people that know this?"

I nodded.

"I think we're more excited than you."

"You guys are always more excited than me at first. My excitement grows every day, after I've told everyone."

Lilly screamed one last time, "I'm so excited."

"Mommy," Soph tapped my leg a couple of times until I looked at her, "Can we take Bandit for a walk?"

I looked out the window just to see it pouring as hard as it probably could have been, "Uh...I don't think so. Not right now anyway."

"It's just rain. Please. We have raincoats and boots."

"Let's go!" Alessandra hopped out of the chair, grabbed Cami's hand and ran into the living room, "I suddenly have a lot of energy."

"Ok, I guess we're going. Go put your rain gear on," I ushered her out of the room just as a phone, a phone I didn't know we had, started going off. "Is that you?" I asked Lilly, even though I knew it sounded nothing like a cellphone.

She shook her head and reached over the counter to grab it. It surprised me even more when she answered it, "Hello?" Pause. "Yes, this is she," she gave me a look, "Who is this?" She put the phone down, "That was weird."

"Who was it?" I asked.

"I don't know. He didn't answer. He was asking for you though. Said he has a deal to make. Honestly he sounded like a meth head with an American accent, so I wouldn't be too worried about it."

"How would a meth head have this phone number though? I didn't even know we had a phone!"

"I don't know. The drugs make people do weird things."

"Do you speak from experience?"

"Of course not! I'm a party girl, but I'm not that much of a party girl."

"Mommy," Soph ran back into the room, "I put my coat on. Can we go now?"

"Yeah."

"Someone called the house," Luca came up and said. He was in charge of that today because it was almost impossible for him to mess up. "An unknown number. The call lasted a minute so one of the girls answered."

"Ok."

"That's it? Really? I expected a little more."

"I'm going home, so I'll find out what happened myself."

"Wait wait wait!" I turned around to see Stefano running at full speed. "That call, I traced the number. It came from California. A familiar place actually."

"Where?"

"The Cruise's main residence."

"Was the call recorded?"

"You betcha, Jell-O shot," Luca said. "I'm pretty sure it wasn't Chloe that was talking. Sounded kinda like Lilly actually."

I was getting tired of all the extra information and wanted someone to just get to the point, "Someone tell me what was said."

"The guy said he wanted to make a deal with Chloe and then it just ended."

"It's just one thing after another."

"Sorry, Jell-O shot. The perks of being a family man, am I right?"

"Wrong."

"I want a baby," Lilly said. She was staring intently at Soph and Camilla while walking Bandit down the wet street.

"Then why don't you and Dom have one?" I asked.

"Well, we are party people. You can't really party while you're parents. He also takes every single step necessary to make sure that I don't get pregnant."

"Condoms?" Alessandra asked.

"Sí."

"Get a turkey baster and suck them babies out," Aless said.

Lilly and I both threw up in our mouths a little bit, "Graphic," I fought to keep all of the food in my stomach down. "I feel like taking a sowing needle and poking a hole in it would be less gross."

"Well, he pulls out too."

"Premature ejaculation, Lils. Happens to the best of them," I said.

We all laughed.
