《The Revenge Of A Businessman》Chapter 24 part 1

Mia's P.O.V
It's been one week since we arrived in Mauritius. Gabriel has been busy taking care of the new business while Jordan and I or more likely Jordan was busy cleaning the house while I was sitting watching her. She refused to let me lift my finger. She did all the work.
The house was very big. There were four bedrooms along with one guestroom. All the rooms had their bathroom attached. Jordan and Gabriel were sharing a room and I stayed in one and one of the rooms was for my child.
We are staying in the capital of Mauritius; Port- Louis. It's a very busy place and we can find everything we need. And it's closer to Gabriel's office.
I was already in my third month and thank god I no longer get morning sickness. But sometimes I can't smell some foods and especially coffee.
Today Jordan and I are going to the Bagatelle Mall to shop for the things that the baby would need. It's already noon and Jordan won't stop buying clothes not for her but for the baby. I was started to get annoyed. I'm a pregnant woman and I'm hungry.
"Jordan let's go and eat." I said for the fifth time.
"Wait let's go to that shop." She said pulling me to another baby shop.
"JORDAN WOODS I'M A FREAKING PREGNANT WOMAN AND I'M HUNGRY. YOU GO AND SHOP FOR YOUR NIECE OR NEPHEW BUT I'M GOING TO GET SOME FOOD FOR US." I snapped at her. She should know never to angry a pregnant lady.
I started walking to the food court when Jordan came next to me.
"I'm sorry Mia. I was so excited about the baby and..."
"You forgot me, your best friend?" I continued her phrase with a silly remark so that she does not feel bad.

"Um yeah" She said scratching her head. Not very ladylike right now, I told her.
"It's ok. I'm sorry for snapping at you but I was very hungry and still am. Let's go, I want to eat KFC." I said dragging her or else she would go to another shop again.
We went in and ordered our food. I had to leave my food to go empty my bladder. It's starting to annoy me now. Every time I’m in the middle of something I have to go to the toilet to relieve myself. Fortunately I have my own bathroom or else I would have turned the house upside down.
After having our lunch we went to buy some shoes. Jordan was buying all the heels that she liked while I was glaring at her. She knew I can't wear all these yet she bought them. Not that she's going to wear them. I'm sure they would be lying in a corner in the house. Gabriel gave us his card and told us to buy whatever we want. And I guess Jordan is taking advantage.
I had to buy sandals that were twice my number as my feet were so big that it did not fit my usual. The doctor told me that swelling will happen during pregnancy so it's ok. Nothing to worry about!
At about three O'clock we reached home to find Gabriel watching the news. I rolled my eyes at him. Typical Gabriel!
Jordan kissed him while I went to my room. I still have not got over Jacob. I cannot forget him even if I want to as his child is growing in me. I felt my cheeks wet. I always cry when I think of him. Damn those pregnancy hormones.
I went to sleep thinking about my child's father.

Wretched Brood
I knew I was different from the beginning. I wanted nothing to do with those simpletons that valued only food, drink, and women. So I distanced myself from my brood, not considering myself a goblin. I even tried to become one of the humans, befriending some in the process. I thought that I’d live a relatively happy life as a “human” adventurer, albeit behind a wooden mask. At that time I didn’t know that I’d soon become the enemy of all humanoid races, a being that was despised and feared by all intelligent creatures. The calamity called “Scourge.”
