《The Revenge Of A Businessman》Chapter 16

Mia's P.O.V
After the meeting Jacob and I went to grab lunch in one of his favourite places.
I was shocked when he pulled the car next to a small restaurant. I did not know that a man like Jacob visits such a small place. When we entered the place he was immediately greeted by an old woman. They hugged each other. I took that time to examine the place.
The walls were beige and the furniture was brown. It gave me a sort of comfort when I entered. There were not many people eating. There were some students sitting in a corner. Looking at them made me remember my time at school.
My thoughts were interrupted when Jacob introduced me to the woman who I guess is the owner of this restaurant.
"This is Mia, my secretary." Jacob said.
"Hi" I replied shyly forwarding my hand.
"Nice meeting you I'm Julianne", she replied shaking my hand.
Just then Jacob told me, more like commanded me to go find a place to sit and he'll just come in a few minutes.
Jacob's P.O.V
I went in the kitchen with Julianne. She is the best friend of my grand-mother. She’s like a second grandmother to me. I always come to see her whenever I come to London.
"So what's the deal with this young lady you brought?" She asked me.
“Mia?" I asked.
"Yes." She replied.
"She's only my secretary nothing more." I said not looking in her eyes.
"Oh I thought there was something between you guys." She said with a disappointed tone.
I changed the subject so that she doesn't feel sadder. "So what are you cooking?" I asked.
"Steak and chips" She said.
"Great, I'm hungry. Just signal me when the food is ready I'll come and take it. Ok?"

"Fine" She replied before going help the chefs. I went back to Mia.
Mia P.O.V
Jacob came back after some time. He sat across me and began texting. As I had nothing better to do I looked outside the window. There was an old couple walking hands in hands.
Will Jacob and I be like this when we become old? Did I just think that? OMG! There is no 'Jacob and I'. It's only you, Mia, you. I'm becoming mad. I'm talking to myself. God help me. This man will make me crazy. My stomach grumbled reminding me that I was hungry.
"Excuse me sir won't we order?" I asked Jacob.
"First call me Jacob and second this is not like other restaurant. Here we get to eat only what has been cooked. And we will be eating steak and chips." He told me.
To say that I was shocked would be an understatement. Jacob, the great Jacob, will eat steak and chips. I was pretty sure that my jaw was touching the floor.
Jacob stood and whispered in my ear “close your mouth doesn’t want to catch flies now, do we." He said and went back to the kitchen. I could feel his breath on my neck. His warm breath! I did not even come out from my previous shock when I got another one.
JACOB BROUGHT US FOOD! WOW!
Jacob's P.O.V
I went in the kitchen to take our food. I was smiling to myself when Julianne pinched me.
"Ouch! What was that for?" I asked her.
"I've been telling you for the last 2 minutes that your grandma has called and I kind of told her you are in London." She told me.
"Oh it's ok. I guess I have to visit her now along with Mia." I replied.

"Mia? Is she going with you?" She asked.
"Yeah I can't just leave her here alone. She has to come with me." I said.
Julianne looked behind me and said "take the food; I think your secretary is hungry."
"Oh yeah, I forgot, the food."
"Anyway bye Jacob I’m going home now. I’ve got some important things to do. Do visit me next time you come". She said while hugging me.
"Yeah, of course I would". I replied hugging her back.
"Thanks for the food again. Bye". I said once again before going to Mia who is now getting impatient.
"Bye". She said.
"Here's our food." I said to Mia.
I think she is shocked. I never behaved like this in front of any of my employees. I guess she is special. Every time I see her I remember the night we spent together. I've been with many girls before but no one ever made me feel like this. I'm scared as I never felt this way before for anyone. Then why her? What is she doing to me?
When she finished eating I decided to tell her about the trip to see my grandmother.
"I'm going to see my grandmother for one week and as you will be alone I'm taking you with me." I said to her.
"Ok." She replied.
'Ok'. I thought I had to persuade her. I kind of like doing that. She never agrees about anything with me. So what's the catch now?
"Ok. Are you serious"? I asked her.
"Yeah, anyway I don't like to be alone in a country I'm not familiar with so I don't have any choices than going with you." She said.
"Great then we can leave tomorrow in the morning to avoid traffic. We'll drive there." I said.
"Fine by me" She replied.

Overseer
From the nothingness I appeared. Bodiless, voiceless, ageless, I have only thoughts and emotions to guide me. My one connection to the world lies in the hearts of a small colony of lizards, just on the cusp of maturing. I reach out to them without hands, inspiring them to be more than what they are, shaping their bodies from visions of lost memories. But where do the memories come from? I am always left with more questions than answers. In my lonely shapeless existence the lizards cannot hear my words, and they cannot feel my touch, and I must wonder, do I even really exist? --- Called emotional, abstract, and beautiful by readers, this story is an observational account of a disembodied entity that has the power to influence and change a race of mildly intelligent lizard creatures. Memories of a previous life often serve as inspiration, but also generate questions as to whom the entity might have been before it became an Overseer. Bastard's Wrath
The Wyvern reared its humongous head, serpent neck coiling back, onyx scales of opulence shimmering in the dimness of the cloud smothered sky. It spoke, eye's ashen, like the surface of a star, "What is it you desire, boy?" The word's rolled from it's pointed maw, tongue flicking, it's deep and ferocious voice sending the ground below rumbling. Damien looked up, hair sodden with rain, his face battered beyond recognition, his lips curled into a snarl. He had gone past the point of being frightened; he was tired of his weakness. He spoke, voice wavering, mist floating from his mouth in the coldness: "I want them dead. I want everyone who stabbed me in the back; dead." The Wyvern smiled, rows of teeth exposed, "Then sacrifice it. Sacrifice your humanity." - The story of a bastard within a crippled family, who beyond all odds becomes known as the Greatest Swordsman to live: the one that, even the Gods, would someday fear.
