《Kindred Spirits》Chapter 21

Someone walking into the gym would think a bomb went off in there. Well in a way, a bomb did went off.
After Zola and Bonnie sent their spells flying at each other, it collided, making all the non-vampires go flying into the air. The vampires and the two hybrids use the spell to start fighting with each other.
Zola groans, grabbing onto the break table next to her for stability.
She looks to her right to see the Mikaelsons fighting the brainless vampires.
She looks across from her to see Bonnie approaching her with a knife in her hand.
"What are you gonna stab me to death? A regular knife isn't gonna do much damage to me"
Bonnie laughs, shakes her head "This isn't just any knife Zola. This knife can kill just about anyone. Which includes you" She point the knife towards Zola.
For once, Zola is somewhat afraid. It's obvious by now that they came to kill or at least weaken Zola. And right now, it's the way life she going for her.
Zola slowly backs up, keeping her eyes trained on the knife in the witch's hand.
"I never did anything to you but here you are. Elena and the Salvatores say fetch and you say where"
Bonnie scoffs, slowly walking forward. She knew what Zola said was right, but what can she do. Elena is her best friend, she can't just let her life be in danger while she can do something about it.
"She's my best friend Zola, I would do anything for her"
"Even murder? You would kill someone just because she said"
Zola doesn't know what she is doing. What she does is that Emily and the friendly spirits are starting to come back to her.
She can feel the power they are lending her, to stay alive and fight this. They need their queen alive.
"Shelia" Emily whispers, being able to break through the last of the spell, just for a second before it pushes her back.
Zola froze, which makes Bonnie stops as well.
"Bonnie I give you five seconds to walk away before I show just how much of a bitch I can be"
Bonnie tenses up, seeing Zola's eyes becoming more intense by the second. She can feel her grip lessening on the knife. She doesn't know what to do.

Zola raises her eyebrow in question.
"Fine"
Elena, who was watching with Caroline who was on protect Elena duty, gasped. She watches as Bonnie fell onto the floor, letting the knife drop. She runs towards Bonnie, placing her head on her lap. She sighs in relief when she sees her breathing still.
Zola huffed, smirking at the girls in front of her "Don't worry, I just sent her to place where she is meet with her punishment. It's about time I reel in the other Bennet, don't you think?"
Stefan, who was fighting Kol, looked away for a second to see Elena and Zola. He freezes, not knowing what to do, which Kol takes advantage and snaps his neck.
"Can't do anything about it now" Kol thought
Damon heard his brother neck getting snap, pushes Rebekah into Elijah, making them fall. He turns his head towards Elena, he goes to run but someone jump onto his back. Making him drop onto his knees.
"Alaric! Get to Elena" He yells out, trying to hold back Rebekah's hands from snapping his head.
Alaric who was helping Jeremy out the room, who had got hurt when he was thrown into the air. He turns to see Zola approaching Elena, well more like the knife which is behind said Gilbert.
"Go" Jeremy states, pushing his history teacher "Go help my sister, I can get outside to Matt"
Alaric nods reluctantly, letting go of him and walking towards Elena.
Zola pauses in her step, not wanting to get anywhere near her father. She sees him kneel down and whisper in Elena's ear. She also sees him go to grab the knife but she knew he couldn't have it. So she did a quick spell, making the knife fly out of his grasp into hers.
Alaric, after helping Elena get away with Bonnie, sighs seeing that his daughter now has the only thing that can defeat her.
"I'm not doing this with you" Zola states, backing up and away from Alaric. But he lunges forwards, grabbing onto her wrist. "I can't let you walk away with that knife kiddo"
Zola sighs, ripping her wrist from his grip. She drops the knife to the floor, and throws a punch. Alaric stumbles back from the force, gripping his jaw.

"I'm not doing this with YOU! So walk away" Zola demands, but she sees him shake his head. She throws another punch, hitting him on the other side of his jaw.
"Walk away"
He shakes his head again, but this time tries to block the punch she threw. Which he does but Zola kicks his leg making him fall onto his back. He grunts, while laughing.
"What's so funny?" Zola grit through her teeth, tired of him playing around with her "Why won't you just walk away huh?"
Alaric stops laughing, and looks up to her "You remind me of me"
Zola squints her eyes at him, and scoffs. "You didn't answer my question"
"You are still my daughter. I might not be fighting back but that doesn't mean I'll walk away from you" Alaric scoffs, getting up with struggle.
"Please, don't repeat the whole 'you're still my daughter' or 'I love you ZoZo'. You've used it way too much by now, and it won't work" Zola mutters, crouching down to grab the knife but all she is met with is air.
Her eyes widen.
Her breathing starts to quicken.
She looks up to see Alaric standing there with tears running down his face, and the knife in his hands.
She stands back up slowly, frowning at him.
"Of course, you wouldn't miss a chance to kill me would you?"
Everyone, who was still in the room, freezes and the fighting starts to cease. They all turn towards the once closed father and daughter. The older Mikaelson worried for their mate, while the younger Mikaelsons were worried for their friend.
Alaric couldn't stare into his daughter's eyes, he couldn't. He was about to do the unthinkable. He was about to kill his daughter.
"Do it then" Zola rises her hand almost like a beckon but Mikaelson knew what she was doing.
"NO" They screamed, running towards her but is stopped by an invisible wall stopping them.
"Zola, elskan. Put this down" Elijah pleaded, ready to kneel down to the gods to help them. "Look at me"
Zola continues to look at her father until she hears a scream so loud that makes even her legs shake.
"LOOK AT US"
She turns to them with tears starting to run down her face and a smile present onto her face.
"Why? Let us help you" Rebekah cries out.
Zola shakes her head "You've done enough for me. I need to do this now"
She does a quick silencing spell, now their cries blocked from her ears. But she can still feel the pounding on the boundary.
She looks back to her father, feeling up with confidence.
"Do it. You wanted to kill ever since I came back right? Well now you can do it"
"Zola please" Alaric pleads, ready to drop the knife and cradle his daughter into his arms
"DO IT. KILL ME"
She gasped out, looking down to see blood starting to appear on her lower stomach.
She stumbles into his arms, not being able to hold herself up.
"There, that wasn't too hard now was it?" She gasped out, through the blood pouring out her mouth.
Alaric cries, not being able to keep them up and falling onto the floor. With his dying daughter in his arms.
"I'm so sorry"
"Don't be" Zola laughs through the pain "You wanted this, now own up to it. Because from now on, you will always have the guilt and pain in your heart knowing you killed your daughter and that right there-"
She pauses to cough out the blood building in her throat "That right there is enough to let me go peacefully"
She feels herself ripped from his hold and into another. Elijah
"Love you need to drink this"
Zola smiles at him, shaking her head "It's ok Lili, I'll be fine. I always wanted t-to know what d-dea-th f-felt-t l-like-e"
She rests his bleeding arm onto her chest "Please j-just h-hold me"
He nods through his tears and cries.
The vampires in the room can hear how dangerously slow her heart sounds.
How her breathing is starting to slow down.
Zola looks over Elijah's shoulder to see Klaus staring at her with tears in his eyes and proud fulling his eyes. He nods at her, letting her know she can let go now.
Because he knew what would happen after her heart stops beating, her breathing comes to a stop, and her body loses tension.
The cries in the air increase as her heart stops beating, her breathing stops, and her body loses all the tension.
