《Satan's Assassin》:Chapter 6:

I pushed my black hair back in frustration. My crystal blue eyes darted around the room, looking at all the werewolves gathered in the room.
"We have important matters to discuss" A deep male voice said. My eyes snapped to a large figure. My Dad, the Alpha of our pack.
All of us seated at our table. My Dad sighed running a hand through his black hair. His green eyes met mine and he sent a sympathetic smile at me.
"About one hour ago two dead werewolf bodies were reported." My Dad said. Whispers broke out through the room. "Rogues" "Hunters are coming for us", and stuff like that.
"Riley you are right it's hunters" My Dad said. I looked at my cousin Riley who had fear etched on his face. Calm down Riley. I'm trying.
"Except this isn't an ordinary hunter" My Dad started. "When we found them SA was carved into their chests, this Hunter is Satan's Assassin." My Dad said.
Screams and sobs broke out through the room. "She's going to kill us" "We have to find her and kill her" "We are no longer safe".
I clenched my fists in anger. My wolf was growling and snarling at the thought of our pack in danger. Kadan, Alana, Blake, Tyler and Riley walked over to me.
"Dude what are we going to do" Tyler said. "I'm not letting her touch Alana" Kadan said wrapping an arm around her and pushing her head into his chest.
I growled lowly. "I will not let her hurt this pack" I snarled. My eyes were turning black from anger. "Or my mate" I snarled. I could see people backing away from me in fear. I was pretty pissed off so I wouldn't blame them.
I pushed my chair back and stormed out of the room. I ran down the hallways of the pack house. I opened the doors to the outside and ran out.

The dark green forest greeted me. The scent of the woods filled my noses. I ran into the west side. I continued running then let my wolf take over.
My bones restructured them self into a wolf form. My fur sprang up and my canines grew. My hands and feet grew into large paws as my face turned into a muzzle and ears sprung up. Then I hit the ground in my wolf form.
My paws hit the ground and I took off extremely fast. The wind pushed itself threw my shiny glossy sleek black coat of fur. My bright blue eyes scanned the surroundings as I ran.
I let back my head and howled loudly. Howls followed after mine. Guess everyone running to. The moonlight reflected down on my fur as I continued running.
Suddenly Isabella's scent reached my nose. My wolf howled in joy and decided to follow the scent. I raced through the woods finally arriving at a decent sized house.
The woods surrounded it in a beautiful yet haunting way. I perked my ears up to listen to Isabella. "Why the hell is this happening" Isabella muttered.
I tilted my head in confusion. "Why the hell is my heart racing like this." She yelled. I smirked on the inside. "Damn you Dalton, why do you have to be so hot and charming and sweet" Isabella groaned.
I could hear her heart pounding in her chest. I was practically howling with joy.
I had this affect over her. Me. I'm the only one who does. She belongs to me. I belong to her. She's meant for me. Designed to fit in my arms. My own angel sent from heaven. My other half. The one who holds part of my soul. My soul mate. My mate.
Suddenly she pulled open her curtains and looked around. I skirted to the side avoiding her gaze. Her beautiful royal blue eyes scanned the surroundings. Then she closed the curtains.

I shook my head, causing my fur to ruffle. Guess I should head back. I turned around but stole one last glance at Isabella's house.
I darted off into the woods. I had to admit running made me feel free. I continued running my tongue sorta out of my mouth.
Alpha we need you now. Why? Rogues, there attacking. I'll be right there Tyler, just hold on.
I pushed my feet into the ground and sprang forward. I ran with all I had jumping over logs and anything else. I snarled in anger.
When I arrived at the scene I was ready to kill. My pack was fighting a pack of rogues. Let's go.
I pushed my paws into the ground and side slammed a brown mangled one. Then I crushed his throat with one snap.
I let his limp body fall from my mouth as I snapped my head back towards the rest of the rogues. I let out a low snarl before pouncing at them.
I have no idea what happened. But they were working together and they acted like they were trained. I smashed a black one with my paws sending him skidding.
He easily caught himself. He was bigger than me and I instantly knew he was once an Alpha. Shit. This was gonna be difficult.
He approached me snarling. His teeth were bared at me as salvia dripped from jaw. He snapped his jaws at me, challenging me to a fight.
I circled around him snapping my jaws at him. Oh I was just wishing for death wasn't I. I could almost see a wolfy smirk on him.
I snarled lowly at him. He snarled right back at me. I waited for him to make his move. I needed to know his strategy, strength, and speed.
He pushed his feet into the ground and lunged at me. I sidestepped him then slammed into him. But the minute I did he grabbed my neck and slammed me down into the ground and pinned me to the ground.
I tried pushing him off but he pressed harder. I saw him leaning in for the kill. I struggled with all my might. I let out a howl of pain.
Heads snapped towards me. Wolves started running to me to save me. There not gonna come in time. I snapped my jaws at him which did nothing. I was gonna die. No one would could protect Isabella. That thought sent me into rage.
Just as he got his teeth around my neck and was about to snap, a gun shot was heard.
A bullet slammed info his shoulders and it sent him flying off of me. I was up the minute he did. The wolves were still running to help me.
I growled at the Alpha. Smoke was rising off of his wound. The person shot him with silver, something that can't be healed easily.
He threw his head back and howled. He then snarled at me then he ran but was limping. The rest of the rogues ran after me. .
A tree branch rustled. I snapped my head to the noise. I saw a silhouette of a skinny but muscular body.
The head snapped towards me. I raised my head and sniffed the air. I couldn't smell the person. I could see a small handgun in their hand. They saved me.
Then the person jumped away with such grace. I know it's not a werewolf because I could of smelled them. Who the hell was that.
Could it be Satan's Assassin. But why would she save me. I mean she's a Hunter in league with the devil. But if she touches Isabella, I'll rip her apart.
I snapped my head back to my pack. Now it's this to deal with.

Can a disgraced witch find a reason to live her life again--and if so, what price must she pay? The Stormcrow Cycle is a trilogy comprising of The Exile, The Lion, and Abomination. Tags or genres for each book: The Exile: romance, slice-of-life The Lion: romance, slice-of-life, politics Abomination: tragedy, high/epic fantasy (aka "Everything is on fire!") Updates once a week whenever I have time. Cross-posted on Wattpad and Scribble Hub. The CBMokedi cover will return! Excerpt: She looked down at him again. Young. Healthy, from what she could see, except for the wound that was killing him. He was handsome in a way that suggested a life of wealth and plenty. She did not think he had ever starved. Someone important. Her shadow fell across him, and he frowned. Blearily, he opened his eyes. They were amber and bright, even as he lay dying in the dirt. She could feel his soul, blazing inside of him like a fire refusing to die even as his body began to fail. He met her gaze, eyes widening in what she guessed was surprise—or shock. But he never looked away, staring up at her as though transfixed. Ba’an made her decision. She raised her hand and covered his eyes. In another moment, a murder of crows cawed as they took wing. The man and woman were gone from the road, leaving only the dead staring up into the sky. Note: This is a high-fantasy set in a low-magic world. The first book is largely character-driven and we really only hit the real plot in Book II, so if you're not fond of long epic yarns you ought to skip this one. I also don't include trigger warnings, but mind the "traumatizing content" tag--all societies minus one practice slavery and the world is indeed, rather grim!
