《A Musician To Be Reckoned With》| Chapter 24 | Phone Call

It's been an hour since our big event with Sung Gun and I. The others found us soon after, but not with us looking like ourselves, like we weren't crying just a few minutes ago.

He apologized for his behavior and I did the same about getting everyone to worry about us.

Now at the hotel, I lay on the bed trying to get comfort from the soft mattress. But it doesn't work as my whole body is tight as the memories keep appearing. I thought I've forgotten about him and the dark past but it seems like I haven't. The room I'm in has one big queen sized bed and other furniture which I don't pay any attention to. Only I was here in this room by myself as everyone else is partnered with each other.

Turning myself to my side, I close my eyes before sliding my bent legs towards my body. Hugging my knees to my chest as I cry letting the tears touch the blanket, I cry about how my first love.

I always believed when you found the person you love, they love you back not matter what. Conflicts will happen and short break-ups will happen too, but the break-up I had was from me after I found out why he dated me.

Hiccups escape me as I continue to cry silently not wanting others to hear. Opening my eyes, I find my phone across me sitting on the table beside the doorway of the room. Pushing myself off from the bed, I sit up and staring at the technology. Reaching for it, I grab it before dragging myself to the head of the bed.

Moving the pillows to my comfort, I sit there leaning back on the wall. Unlocking my phone, I begin to click the familiar pattern of numbers before placing the phone to my ear and waiting.

"Hello? Octave?" Kafe's voice appears getting my heart to lighten up slightly.

"Kafe?" I reply quietly feeling the strain of my voice.

"What's wrong, Octave?" He asks in worry before I break down.

Crying and crying making noises only echoing inside my room, I hear Kafe continue to ask in worry.

"I'm thinking about him." I finally answer knowing Kafe will understand.

"Him? I thought you got over him? How did you suddenly think of him?" He asks in both worry and anger.

I don't answer for a few seconds before giving in, "Sung Gun kissed me and then told me he was jealous of my first kiss. And I told him how he shouldn't be since it wasn't a loving kiss."

He stays quiet, speechless.

"I'm adding the others in, you need our comfort." He states in a strong voice I rarely hear.

"Kafe - " I try to protest.

"Octave, we're friends. And friends help each other, right? I'm including them in. Got it?" He ends our argument getting me to stay quiet.

"Okay." I finally agree knowing I won't be able to argue.

Hearing him add more numbers in to our conversation, I hear other familiar voices that makes my heart lift even more.

"Kafe! My baby! I miss you darling!" A voice squeals.

"Shut up, Lio. You're annoying and going to give us all headaches!" Another voice grunts.

"How about both of you be quiet?" A third voice joins.

"Our first time we've ever talked to each other since he left, and this is how we all greet him?" A fourth demanding voice asks.

"Sorry." The other voices apologize instantly.

That's when I start giggling feeling the warmth and happiness from my friends.

"Octave!!" The first voice, Lio squeals again.

"Shrimp is here?" The second one asks slightly in surprise.

"You're both going to give her a headache with all your shouting." The third voice growls protectively.

"Guys, come on now. No more fighting. Let's just talk." The fourth voice reasons.

"Hey guys." I croak out unintentionally for my voice to crack.

"What's wrong? What happened to my baby's angelic voice?" Lio cries in worry.

"Shrimp, did something happen?" The third voice asks in concern.

"I'll be able to explain that." Kafe interrupts knowing I won't like to tell them, "She thought about him after a incident."

"Angel, we get that it's our fault for him doing that to you but you have to forget about him. There's definitely someone better than him who's a better fit for you." Lio states stubbornly.

"The idiot is right, Shrimp. Learn from him, he's had countless girlfriends and knows everything about it." The second voice adds.

"Flower, we might not be that amazing to understand you with your 'girl love' feeling but we'll always be here for you. So if you need anyone, you have us." The third voice kindly promises.

I smile, "Thanks guys."

"What happened to Theo?" Lio asks wondering about the fourth voice.

"He hanged up." Kafe answers slightly in confusion.

"What the fu - fridge?!" The second voice shouts angrily stumbling his word at the end.

"Guys, calm down. He is our leader, he must have a good reason." The third voice tries to calm everyone down.

"We know, but - still - " The second voice grunts.

"Dyane, calm down." Lio replies.

I smile more and more every time I hear their voices flow through my phone.

"Hey, Octave. What time is it over there?" Kafe suddenly asks getting me to look over at the clock.

"10:27." I answer not surprised it's this late already.

"Go to sleep, you have a big day tomorrow, don't you?" He replies.

"Yea! You have a big day tomorrow! So get some sleep! Wait. What big day? What's happening tomorrow?" Lio asks turning enthusiastic to confusion.

"Nothing." Kafe replies bluntly, "Good night."

"Oi!" Dyane shouts obviously wanting to know what's happening.

"Good night, Flower." The third voice states not wanting to get into the fight with the other three.

"Good night, Vil." I smile as he hangs up leaving me with the other three arguing boys.

"Shrimp! The coffee shop isn't telling us what your big day is tomorrow!" Dyane shouts earning a giggle from me.

"For the last time! My name starts with 'k'. Not a 'c' so I'm not a coffee shop!" Kafe shouts defensively.

"I'll tell you guys tomorrow, I promise. Okay?" I reply earning grumbles from both Lio and Dyane.

"Fine." They give in.

"Good night, Flower." Liv makes a kiss sound.

"Good night, Shrimp." Dyane chuckles.

Both their phones turn off leaving me alone with Kafe once again.

"So, coffee shop?" I smile teasing him.

"Don't. Please?" He pleads earning a chuckle from me.

"Just wanted to try it out!" I state before we head into a silent chat.

"Good night, Candy." He finally speaks calling my nickname that he rarely uses.

"Good night." I reply back smiling wider.

As we both hang up, I lean my head back to the wall looking up to the ceiling. Not crying anymore as I have a smile on my face, I thank my friends in my head.

Before I could relax and go to sleep, my phone rings again getting me to instantly look at it. A message appears bright on the screen.

'Meet me downstairs.'

I tilt my head not familiar with the number.

Who is this?

Without even thinking, I get off my bed and head outside my room. Wearing just converse shoes, I start heading downstairs by the elevator. When I reach the lobby, I exit out of the elevator looking around to find anyone familiar. My eyes widen as I rush over to the familiar person.

"Hey Octave. How are you doing?" He asks but before we can continue our conversation, I lift my hand up.
