"I feel dead." I start complaining as my head rests on the bus seat in front of me.
"We're almost there, so stop complaining." The blond hair boy beside me demands, "And you shouldn't even complain. I'm the one with someone sitting on my lap."
"Well, I'm sorry! My legs are killing me because of yesterday! So it's not my fault! And I felt guilty when you gave me the seat so this was the only thing to do it!" I remind him as I swing my head to the side to face him before I place it back onto the chair.
"Whatever." He replies while gripping my hips tightly to make sure I don't fall.
"Hey, Kafe. What do you think it'll be like there?" I ask as I turn towards the window.
"It's just school. Everything will be the same. Don't worry about it." He replies.
"Not everything will be the same. We won't be able to attend classes with them anymore. I really don't get why we're suddenly being transferred in the middle of November."
He stiffens before smoothing my back, "Don't worry. We'll see them again. It's not like we're at the opposite side of the world. I promise, that I'll protect you."
A small smile appears on my face, "Thanks, Kafe."
Instead of gripping my hips, his arms surround my stomach as he gives me a hug. Wanting to hug him back but can't, I place one of my hands on his arm. Suddenly, the bus passes a bump getting both of us to pop up our seats and then back down. We both look at each other before starting to laugh for some reason. The bus gets into a full stop getting me to stand up in the alley way allowing Kafe to stand up himself. Exiting the bus after giving our gratitude to the driver, we both stop dead in front of the big gates that tower over us as the bus closes the door and drives away.
In front of us, the giant gate still stands as a magnificent school appears behind it.

"Amazing. This is Avalon High. Where many talented people come from all over the world to learn the arts of music. And to actually believe that we'll attend this grand school." Kafe scoffs as he stare right at the school while we both walk towards the gates.
"Well believe it. This was expected as this school is one of the Top 10 schools for music in Japan." I reply as I show the gatekeeper my ID card.
The man opens the gate for us to pass which we thanked him for before continuing our talk.
"This is only the tenth one. I wonder how amazing the other ones will be like." Kafe states.
"Probably more classy. This school allows anyone attend as long as they have talent while the other schools only let you attend if you're rich or you have an incredible talent." I reply brushing my hair aside.
"You should have attended the other ones instead of this one, Octave." He frowns, "I know you received scholarships for them."
"Like I said before. It's only for the super talented and rich people. I have none of those and if I did, I rather not go to those schools as they are too prissy." I close my eyes while we continue our walk down the path with the forest beside it, "Also, they're in other countries! I rather stay in Japan and continue with learning here."
"Octave, you have an incredible voice and incredible composing talent. You're the most amazing person I have ever seen before." Kafe compliments.
"Kafe..." I look at him emotionless before I give out a smile," Thanks."
He smiles back then wraps his arm around my neck while nudging my head with his free hand, "Of course."

"Attention, everyone. Today, we have two transfers." the teacher shouts getting the noisy students to quiet down before their full attention turns to the man who gestures us to get inside the room.
Kafe enters the class first as I follow behind him. When we enter, students start chattering within a second as they talk with each other until we go to a full stop beside the teacher. Facing the class, my eyes quickly scan my new classmates as Kafe fidgets his fingers behind his back, like usual. Seeing that he isn't going to introduce himself first, I give out a quiet sigh before I take a step forward.

"Hello, my name is Octave Reiner. It's a pleasure to meet all of you." I greet before I take a small bow.
Kafe also steps up beside me and takes a bow," My name is Kafe Morgan. Please also take care of me."
Some students bow their heads as some just stare at us. The girls start gossiping with each other as they blush while looking over to Kafe who is still as dumbfounded like always. Secretly smirking inside of how my childhood friend doesn't know that he's really handsome getting many of the girls that see him to fall in love with him in a second, I grab my attention back to the class.
The teacher gestures us to sit at the back which I almost skip to as I love sitting at the back.
Who doesn't?
Kafe chuckles at my happiness as I sit beside the window which he gladly let me as he sits beside me. As the teacher begins class, the room turns quiet with the students paying attention.
"I see you still love the back." Kafe whispers getting me to giggle quietly making sure not to get others to notice our conversation.
"Well, it's the only place I can get peace during class." I reply placing a group of hair behind my ear, "And where I can sleep."
He just chuckles shaking his head in disbelief before turning back to the front.
As the students pay attention to the teacher talking about the basics of music, I give a silent yawn and look out of the window. As always, it was a beautiful sight to see when you're up so high in a building. A light blue sky with almost transparent white clouds floating by slowly as it brings calamity to your heart. Below was even more beautiful as nature mixes with the furniture designs in the yard before it ends with a forest beside it. A fountain was standing at the middle as students walk by with their uniforms.
"Psst. Octave!" Kafe whispers beside me, grabbing my attention to look at him who's pointing to the front of the class.
Turning my attention to the front, the teacher there was glaring at me. Crud.
"Miss Octave Reiner. If you're not going to pay attention in your first day of class, I suggest you leave this school. There's no time for people such like you to attend this high class school!"
"Sorry, sir." I bow my head in apology getting some of the girls to giggle.
Great. They're happy that the hateful girl who's talking to their crush gets in trouble.
"Well, since you have time to daydream in my class, please," he gestures to the piano at the back of the room, "show how amazing you are! Getting a full scholarship to attend here despite you being an ordinary person such like yourself, don't come so often anymore. So please show us your skills. If I believe that you are not qualified for this school just by this performance, you'll be expelled."
"What?!" Kafe shouts instantly standing up from his desk.
A smirk plasters onto my face as my eyes glint with excitement, "You're on."
Rising up from my desk, I walk past Kafe to get to the piano, but he suddenly grabs my hand, "Show them what you got, Octave."
"Of course." I reply still keeping my smirk on.
He lets go of me and I continue to walk towards the piano. As the students stare at me, I sit quietly down on the seat while looking at the white and black keys. The feeling that arises every time I begin to play surrounds me as I feel comfortable in my position despite being in trouble.
This is definitely extraordinary, the piano. Even so, I can still play.
The smirk disappears as I lift my hand up touching the smooth keys. Giving out an inhale before exhaling deeply, I close my eyes and let the magic do the work.
