"Now, you keep me updated on everything okay?" Lex hugged me tightly, I could see her eyes tearing up.

"I will, don't you worry. Take care of Rosie for Marty"

Lex chuckled, she knew everything that Alice had told us and she had already promised to look after Marty when he moved into the palace.

We separated and Julius took her place, we kept the goodbyes short. We knew it wouldn't be long before we saw each other again.

Damien wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed my temple.

"We all ready to go?"

"Yup, is Marty ready?"

Damien nodded "He's all buckled in"

"Alright, well time to go" I gave Lex another hug and then climbed into the passenger seat.

Turning around in my seat, Marty was sat in the same place with Tom behind me this time, with Lyle again behind Damien. Tom was handing Marty different coloured pencils while Lyle was holding the finished pictures.

I had to stifle my giggle, all three looked so serious about the colouring. I was ecstatic that Marty had taken to the very serious Lyle and that Lyle was indulging the 3 year old.

We were only three hours away from home when I heard screaming. My ears perked up and I sat straight in my seat. Lyle and Tom noticed my behaviour and became alert.

"Damien, stop the car"

Immediately the car came to a stop and he looked over at me, I stretched my senses out and heard the screaming again. It sounded like a young girl.

"What's wrong?" Damien asked

"Can you hear that?"

Damien stretched his senses as far as they could go and then he stiffened, looking over at me, he nodded. He knew we had to go and check it out, there could be anything out there and we weren't too far from our territory. We couldn't risk anything harming the pack.

I didn't like the idea of leaving Marty here without us, but I reasoned that he has guards, some fantastic guards at that. Plus as Alpha's, it is our responsibility to check it out, we couldn't risk taking Marty just incase there are feral rogues and it turns into a fight.

"Tom, Lyle. Get the others into this car and lock the doors. We are going to check out what's going on. Stay on guard"

They both nodded and mind linked the guards in the other car. We waited until they got to the doors, before leaving, I turned around to Marty. His eyes were wide and flickering back and forth.

"Hey little wolf. Damien and I are going to see if we can help someone okay? I need you to stay here and listen to everything the guards say. Promise?"

"Promise Mama Ally"

"Good job. Another thing, no matter what, you do not let your wolf have control okay? It could cause harm to Rosie. Okay?"

"Yes Mama Ally. He says he will not take control"

Nodding, I turned to Tom and Lyle "Protect him with your life"

"You know we will Alpha" Tom replied.

Nodding, Damien and I climbed out, Eric and the other warriors climbed into our seats. As soon as we heard the locks click into place, we shifted into our wolves.

My reddish coat blended into the trees well but my bright red eyes did not. We had to be stealthy, we ran fast but silently and ten minutes later we arrived at the spot where the scent was, but nothing was there.

Do you smell anything love? Damien asked through mind link

It smells like a young girl, but it's like the scent is vanishing as we speak

I noticed that. But there is another scent that I can't place

I took in a deep breath and my mind whirled with the scent. The only other time I have smelt that scent, nothing good came out of it.

I know that smell. It's a witch

A wit- Damien was interrupted by another voice

Alpha! We nee-

My head snapped up in the direction of the cars. I stretched my senses out and the noises I heard sent fear spiralling down my spine. Damien stiffened when he saw my stance and listened for himself.

Without another word, I took off running. My brain was conjuring up different scenarios but the one thing at the front was just dread. Dread that if something has happened to Marty, I don't know what I will do.

As we got closer to where we left everyone, I could smell smoke and blood. I could feel my vision slowly start to turn red with the fear of what we would find there.

We got back to the road and what we saw had us stopping in our tracks.

Both cars were upside down, all the windows smashed, the front of the car we were in was on fire and not where we left it.

We shifted back and threw on our clothes, rushing forward I went straight to the car.

Damien veered off to the side where the scent of blood was coming from.

"Marty?" I fell to my knees at the side of the car, ignoring the glass digging into my skin.

My heart sunk when I saw no bodies in the car at all. Lyle and Tom were nowhere to be seen, Marty's car seat was shredded as well.

A ragged sob escaped me when I saw blood trails leading from the other side.

"Damien" I managed to get out.

Damien ran over to me and fell to his knees, he pulled my body into his and held me tightly. His arms wrapped around my entire body and he made soothing sounds as I broke down. My arms wound around his back, my hands fisting his shirt. My entire body rocked with sobs. Harsh breaths came out and my lungs felt like they were collapsing under the pressure.

"Alyssa, my love. We will find him okay. We will not rest until he is home" he stood up with me still cradled in his arms.

I lifted my head and looked to the side of the road. I saw a shock of red hair and gasped in shock. I had completely forgotten about the warriors in my grief.

"The warriors?" I asked Damien, I was stunned my voice sounded so raspy.

"A few cuts and bruises, Lyle got the worst of it with a large gash on his leg. They will all recover perfectly fine"

Sighing in relief, I sank into his arms. I'm glad they are all okay, I know they would have tried their hardest to keep Marty safe. I closed my eyes and let my mind wander to our pup I am carrying. I have to be careful and think about more then just myself now.

We have more lives in danger then just ours. We have to make sure the pack is taken care off, our pup needs to be safe, I'm glad that I can keep shifting while pregnant.

We need to bring Marty home, and I know our pack will be frothing at the mouth to help, not just because he is their Alpha's pup but because everyone loves him.

I made a vow to myself that whoever took him will pay, my wolf will not allow them any mercy and neither will our mate or pack.

They had better be ready because we are coming, blood will be spilt and I will have no regrets.
