《Supernatural High》Chapter 19

"Cam! Wait!," I yelled to Cam as I was leaving my last class of the day. We had been playing football outside and as I was leaving to go back to our spot under the tree, I spotted Cam walking towards the school. When he turned and saw me, he tensed and spun back around, quickening his pace.

What the fuck?

I jogged up to him and stopped once I was in front of him. He had stopped walking, but his eyes were downcast.

He couldn't be afraid... could he?

"Cam, it's nice seeing you again," I smiled, trying to hide the fact that I was a little worried, but he stayed silent. "Cam?," I asked after a moment. Nothing. No response.

I tilted his head up with my finger, and frowned at his sad expression. He wouldn't look me in the eyes, and looked pale and sad.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?," I asked, immediately concerned. I had never seen him like this, and it worried me.

"I'm fine," he responded monotonously. Something was clearly wrong.

"Clearly you aren't. Tell me what's wrong, Cam," I said to him and he stepped away from me.

"I have to go, Kit. I'm sorry," he turned away and walked away from me quickly. I watched him as he scurried inside, noticing a slight limp in his step.

Something was definitely wrong. As I walked towards our tree, I thought back to my short conversation with Cam. He was acting different, and it scared me a little. There was no way I would ignore this.

Everyone was already sitting below the tree when I got there. Logan was sitting between Titan's legs, Harley leaning against the trunk as she read a book for one of her classes, and Harry was laying on his stomach as he worked on his math homework. I sat down between Harley and Harry, and decided to bring up the conversation with Cam.

"Something weird just happened," I started and they all looked at me.

"Something besides the fact we are all pretending like nothing happened at lunch?," Harley asked and I rolled my eyes.

"Shut up, this is important," she put down her book and gave me her whole attention. "Something is wrong with Cam. I ran into him just before I got here, and he was acting really weird. He had a really sad look, and looked really pale. He told me he was fine, but it was obvious that something is wrong. He was limping when he walked away."

They thought about what I said for a moment, looking as worried as I felt.

"We could go stop by his room? If we're all there, he might talk to us," Logan suggested and I nodded.

"Can we go now?," I asked, wanting to go as soon as possible. I had a really bad feeling in my gut, and my demon felt restless.

"Yeah, lets grab our stuff and go," Logan nodded and I quickly stood up. I paced a little as they packed up their things, and groaned in annoyance when they took too long.

"Uh, Kit, have you fed yet today?," Harley asked me with a weird look on her face.

"What the fuck. You should be more worried about Cam than my feeding schedule," I snapped.

"Baby, we are worried. You need to answer the question first though," Harry said in a soothing voice and I huffed.

"Fine. Jace and I usually meet after breakfast for a quick feeding, then we meet after dinner. I guess he woke up late this morning, so I didn't get to feed this morning. It's not a big deal. I fed last night," I responded, anger lacing my tone. I couldn't believe they were more worried about me. Cam was more important right now!

"Oh, gods...," Logan muttered and I rolled my eyes at his worried tone.

"What is it, Logan?," Harry asked, suddenly right by my side. He was looking me over, as if checking for any injuries of any sort.

"I'm fine, leave me alone," I shooed his arm away.

"Kit has always had to feed a lot more than the other incubi, but I had no idea his hunger was getting this bad. When an incubus needs to feed immediately, the symptoms are very clear. Irritability, anger, shaking, those are some of the symptoms. Look at Kit. He's irritable, angry, and his hands are shaking. It's like his demon is starving, but he shouldn't be. He fed last night. He should be fine until tonight! Kit, when did this start happening?," Logan answered with wide eyes as he watched me.

"Last week. We need to get to Cam, lets go," I said and walked away, towards our wing. I could hear them whispering behind me, and it only made me angrier.

First, at lunch they decided to drop that bomb on me about liking me, and wanting me to join their relationship. Next, when I told them no, they insisted I think about it before rejecting their offer. Honestly, I was more interested in starting things up with Harry again. Lastly, they decide to be more worried about my feeding needs than Cam. Something was wrong with Cam, and they acted as if it didn't even matter. It was total bullshit!

Once we approached Cam's room, I felt a hand pull me back.

"I think you should feed first, before going inside," Titan said and I sighed.

"How many times do I have to tell you I'm fine?," I turned around and raised my hand to knock on the door. I froze at what I heard though. I heard what sounded like a cry for help, so I pressed my ear against the door and was struck with horror at the sounds.

"No! Please stop, Pete! You don't have to do this again! I won't say anything, I swear!," Cam sobbed and I gasped. I went to turn the door handle, but it was locked. Of course.

I saw Harry say something under his breath, and he did some hand movements. A few seconds later, I heard the lock click, and I immediately opened the door.

My body filled with rage at what I saw, and I saw red.

On top of a sobbing Cam, was Pete. His jeans were pushed down to his knees, and he was thrusting inside Cam. Cam was begging Pete to stop and I ripped Pete off of him. I pushed Pete against the opposite wall, my hand around his throat, squeezing tightly. He was gasping for breath, and I could feel my demon sucking the energy out of him. I knew that if I didn't stop, I would end up killing him, but my demon was too hungry, and I was too blinded with rage.

"Kit! Kit, you need to stop! You'll kill him if you don't!," I heard Logan yell from behind me.

I loosened my grip around his neck, allowing him to breathe, and leaned closer to him. I whispered in a venomous tone in his ear, "I killed one rapist. I have no problem making it two."

His body shook in fear, and I felt arms trying to pull me back. They were unsuccessful, and Pete was close to being drained dry.

Suddenly, arms wrapped around my waist, and pulled me off of Pete. I fought to get back to Pete to finish the job, my eyes never leaving his barely conscious form.

"Kit! Stop!," I heard Jace yell and my eyes snapped up to his. He was on top of me, pinning down my arms above my head, using his legs to hold mine down. I couldn't move. "Breathe. Cam is okay. You need to calm down, though, before you do something you will regret," he demanded and I glared at him.

I wanted to punch Jace for stopping me. Instead of continuing to struggle, I decided to just follow his command, and took deep breaths to calm my racing heart.

Once I was finally calm, I looked around, noticing a shaking Cam in Harley's arms. He was crying, and looked absolutely terrified.

I looked back at Jace and he sighed.

"We are going straight to your room, and you are going to feed. Understand?," he stated and I nodded. He was pissed off. He got off me, pulled me up, and drug me out of the room. He pulled me to my room, the others trailing behind us, and pushed me into the bedroom. I landed on my bed, and Jace didn't speak until the door was shut and locked.

"Kit, what the hell?! Are you fucking insane?!," Jace yelled and I sighed. This was going to be a long night.
