《Supernatural High》Chapter 7

It was during lunch the next day when a group of students walked into the large room. They were very noisy and kind of annoying.
"I was enjoying the peace and quiet in their absence," Sora grumbled. "Guess that's gone now."
"Who are they?," I asked as I watched them grab their lunches and find a table to sit at.
"They are all shifters. I don't know if they have their own little pack or something, but they are loud and annoying. The blonde twins are Tommy and Donnie, they are leopard shifters. The red head is James and he is a wolf shifter, as well as Ares. Ares is the silver haired hunk. The raven haired girl is Gwen and she is a panther shifter. The dirty blonde girl is Sarah and she is a serval shifter. And lastly, there's Jace. He's the one with the gorgeous dark brown locks and the beautiful emerald green eyes," Logan said dreamily.
I laughed at his expression and then asked, "What kind of shifter is Jace?"
"Nobody knows. Only the headmaster knows," Tara responded in a soft voice.
"Why?," I asked curiously.
"Why does it matter? That's private and doesn't involve you," a girl's voice said with an angry tone from behind me. My table grew silent and I slowly turned around to see Gwen glaring at me with Ares and Jace standing beside her.
Shit. They must have overheard our conversation.
"I'm sorry if I came across rude. I'm new here and was only curious as to who everyone is," I said apologetically. I decided to be friendly because Gwen and Ares glares scared me a little. Jace was watching me curiously with his arms crossed.
"So you're that new kid everyone is talking about, huh? I don't see what the big fuss is about," Ares said, ignoring what I said and looking me over.
"He doesn't really look like a killer to me," Gwen agreed and my mind flashed back to that horrible night. I took a deep breath in order to stay calm and clasped my hands together in my lap.

"I don't know what everyone has been saying, but it was an accident," I said quietly.
"Fucker deserved it, if you ask me," I heard Logan mumble. I wasn't sure if I was either relieved that at least someone knew what happened or upset that somehow he found out. Either way, I was glad he wasn't mad at me for killing a guy, even though the guy was a rapist.
"Tell me what happened," I heard Jace's deep voice demand, looking between Logan and me. When they both realized that I wasn't going to say a word, Logan stood up and whispered it in his ear. I clenched my fists, upset that Logan would tell him something that wasn't his own business. When Logan sat back down, I shot him a glare and looked back at the three standing in front of us still.
I noticed that Jace's jaw was clenched and rage flashed in his eyes. Jace simply walked away after a moment of silence, and his friends watched him walk to their table with confusion.
"Right... anyways, keep your nose out of our business and we will get along just fine. Got it?," Gwen shot me another glare and they walked away when I nodded.
The rest of lunch passed silently. Logan kept trying to apologize, but after the tenth "I'm sorry", I simply stood up, discarded my trash, and walked to my next class. I really didn't want to hear it.
Once my last class came, I wanted to bash my head against the wall. We were running laps and many of the guys decided to take their shirts off. Many of the girls tied their shirts up below their breasts and I was sweating like a pig. Was I really this out of shape? My panting proved that I was.
It really wasn't fair for so many good looking guys and gorgeous girls to be at this school. Was it a think about supernatural beings? Were all supernatural beings just unnaturally gorgeous? What the fuck!

After I had finally caught my breath, I decided to join them, and took my shirt off. Quite a few pairs of eyes turned my direction and I just ignored them. I was still used to that kind of attention from my last school, so the staring didn't really bother me. Maybe it was an incubus thing? I'd have to ask Logan once I was done giving him the cold shoulder.
"Hey, I'm Hannah. You're Kit, right?," a girl with platinum blonde hair kn a ponytail said to me, biting her lip and playing with the collar of her shirt.
"Yeah, I am. Nice to meet you," I gave her a small smile and she blushed. Her friends were watching from a distance and giggling.
"I was wondering if you were busy later?," she sent me a sexy look, hoping I would get the hint that she wanted to hook up.
"I'm pretty busy, actually," I responded, subtly trying to let her down easy.
"Well, if you change your mind, I'll be in room 615. I hear that incubi are gods in bed, and I've been told that my energy is absolutely delicious," she said in a sexy tone, running a finger down my chest.
Honestly, if her desperation didn't repulse me so much, I'm sure this would have turned me on.
"I'm not interested, I'm sorry," I stated firmly.
"I'm sure I could change your mind," she bit her lip and slid her hand down further, towards the waistband of my sweatpants. I stopped her hand, and pulled her closer to me so that only she would hear my words.
"Hannah, when I say no, I mean no. I'm going to be blunt here, and tell you the honest truth because you deserve it. Being desperate isn't very attractive, and it never will be. For the sake of your own happiness, don't behave this way with anyone. It's not attractive, and it's simply embarrassing. I'm sure you are a nice girl, and that's why I am telling you this. I'm not saying it to be a dick. I'm saying it to help you better yourself and your reputation. Do you understand?," I waited for her to say something and felt bad when I saw tears pool in her eyes.
Oh fuck. Now I probably look like a total asshole.
"I'm so sorry, Kit. I never meant to try pushing you. I didn't even realize that's what I was doing. Usually guys say yes to my offer, and you are the first guy to say no. I know that isn't an excuse, and you are totally right. I know I should be pissed at you, but I'm glad you were honest with me and didn't want to use me for my body. What you said really is an ehe opener and I really appreciate it. Please forgive me?"
I was stunned. I expected her to slap me or something and call me a jerk while walking away back to her friends.
"It's okay, Hannah," I told her and she sighed a sigh of relief.
"You seem pretty cool. Want to maybe hang out sometime?"
"Sure," I smiled and stepped away from her. She blushed when she looked down and noticed again that I was shirtless. She hurried back to her friends and the rest of the period was spent practicing our knife throwing.
What I didn't know was that a pair of eyes was watching me from afar.

He doesn't seem to be more than Cassandra's age. Maybe 12 at most. I abruptly turn my head back hearing the man holding a sword to my throat chuckling with a sinister grin. "Oh, poor boy, what are you go to do about it?" The yellow teeth gleam as he begins stalking towards the boy who does not look the least bit fazed. I look around at the other men who are following the leader. I pull Cassandra tighter to my back as I take small steps back. I keep my eye trained on the men but also fear for the naive boy.
