"What the Hell do you mean we can't do anything?!"
Sasuke slammed his fists down on the wooden desk before him. The Hokage pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.
"We cannot send out anybody after Mitsu because it would be reckless and a big mistake, the Akatsuki are much stronger than us. Whether in a full group, or single members."
Sasuke growled, spinning on his heel with his fists clenched towards Kakashi.
"And you're just going to stand there?!"
He stormed up to him, making himself taller on his tip toes. Kakashi glared at him and leaned down so he was eye to eye with Sasuke.
"You think I want to leave my student?" He hissed behind his mask, pushing Sasuke a little.
Iruka glared at them both, and the Third sat there, watching intently. Sasuke paced the room, between Kakashi and the desk, pulling at his hair, tears brimming at the corners of his eyes. He slammed his fists on the in front of the Third again, letting the years spill, showing emotion in front of all three men for the first time since the massacre.
"How can you just sit there and do nothing when an innocent life is in danger from those monsters? The same monster that killed my entire clan!" He screamed, falling to knees, tiny sobs escaping his lips.
Kakashi looked down at Sasuke, sorrow in his only visible eye. He put his hand reassuringly on Sasuke's head, feeling the boy shiver beneath him.
"I don't think we have a choice here, Sir." Iruka confirmed, nodding to Kakashi.
The Third grunted, pulling papers from a draw behind the desk, writing hastily on them. He gave them to Iruka, instructing him to take them to the carriers.
"Kakashi, alert ANBU Black Ops." The raspy voice of the old man ordered, Kakashi disappeared just as the Hokage stood and looked down at Sasuke. Pity flooded his eyes however, he smiled.
"Sasuke, you've matured into a young man very nicely." He smiled, walking around the desk towards the quaking ball on the floor. He kneeled beside him, pulling him gently by his arm. He looked into Sasuke's eyes, just as a loving parent would. Feeling the same pain and torture that his eyes reflected. The Hokage smiled reassuringly and Sasuke nodded a thanks. Sasuke turned on his heel, his head down and his fists still balled.

"If Mitsu isn't found in 24 hours, I'm going after her myself." He growled through his clenched teeth, storming out of the office, passing staring on lookers.
"Who the Hell are you?" I growled, staring the strange man in front of me down. His purple ringed eyes bore through my soul, as if he could read every thought that passed through my mind. Itachi moved uncomfortably behind me, shifting weight from one foot to the other.
"I wouldn't be so rude if I were you, 'un."
I turned to glare at Deidara but my body couldn't move. I was fixed to the spot, facing the purple eyed ginger. He smirked at me, sinking back into his chair.
"You are here Mitsu for our support and our support only. You will join the Akatsuki if you want to carry on with your pitiful life, and as I said, you will serve only for our purposes."
Itachi shifted his weight uncomfortably behind me.
"I will be your leader for your time here with the Akatsuki," the ginger began, "and if I catch you out of line just once, I will end you." He hissed, waving his hand in dismissal.
I felt Itachi's hand on my shoulder as Deidara walked briskly past me.
"Deidara, I have information on your next mission. You may stay."
Deidara muttered something incoherent under his breath, the mouths on his palms slurping and grinning right at me.
That guy has some serious issues.
I felt Itachi's hand softly on my shoulder, pushing me towards the door. My body was stiff to his touch, fear coursing through my veins, showing freely in my features. We passed through the door into a dark corridor. The bleak stench of damp filled my nostrils, making me sub-consciencely hold my breath. Itachi leaned down and breathed in lightly into my ear.
"If you want any chance of survival, you'll have to trust me."
My eyes widened and I stopped, swinging around on my one heel, pointing straight at him, practically poking him in the forehead.
"You have got to be kiddin' me, Uchiha! First you come to my house, warn me about the Akatsuki," I ranted, watching Itachi's eyes bleakly stare back at me with no emotion present what-so-ever, "and then! You steal me yourself with your freaky mouth-palmed partner from your own brother!"

At that Itachi chuckled and leaned forward again, his eyes turning a blood red.
"You seem to forget that I was the one who took everything from my brother," he began, not even bothering to hush his tone, "including you."
I was glued to the spot once again, completely unable to move. His eyes had me fixured to the ground, pain and torture searing through my nerves, screams echoing through my mind as blades collided with the innocent skin of what was the Uchiha clan. It skipped forward, the sound of footsteps ran through my ears, loud and clear from what seemed like below. I heard Sasuke, he was wailing, terror in his screams. And then it all went silent. I was free of Itachi's grasps for now, but all I could do was still stare into his onyx eyes. He smirked.
"Now you've heard it for yourself. Seen it through my own eyes." He purred, turning me around by my shoulders and again, pushing me gently down the damp corridor.
"Why?" I questioned to nobody in particular.
Itachi looked at me, now walking by my side. He even looked somewhat confused.
"Why?" He questioned back, raising his eyebrow at me.
I sighed in frustration.
"Why the Hell did you murder all of those innocent people?!" I demanded through gritted teeth.
He glanced down at me as we carried on down the long corridor, doors started to appear on each side.
"To test my power."
My mouth hung open in disbelief. My brain begging my ears to tell me I had misheard. I saw a slight smirk again.
"I don't believe you."
Itachi's eyes widened in surprise at my reaction.
Jackpot.
It was my turn to smirk as we stopped outside a wooden door at the end of the corridor on the left hand side. Itachi turned the round door handle, pushing the door slightly ajar and nodding towards it, encouraging me to advance on my own will without him having to push me all the time. The room was simple, much like my own. A small bed was in the top corner on the left, next to a very small window which showed little of the outside as there were overgrown plants everywhere, including vines climbing their way naturally up the caveside. A small lamp was situated on a what seemed to be stone side table, carved by Deidara most likely, he was always going on about art afterall.
"This will be your room." Itachi muttered, leaning against the doorframe, letting his hair hang over his shoulder.
I settled on the bed, sitting upright.
"Thanks."
Itachi nodded in approval of my gratitude, turning to leave.
"And as I said," he looked over his shoulder, his eyes blood red once again, "if you want to survive this and see Sasuke again, you have got to trust me."
I nodded.
Sasuke...
I had been so caught up in this whole situtation I had pretty much forgotten about him. Between concussion and the shock of getting kidnapped, it tends to happen.
I wonder if he's okay...
I slumped down, pushing my arm underneath the flimsy pillow that was provided, thoughts flooding through my mind.
Would he try finding me?
He wouldn't leave the village surely.
But then it was Itachi who stole me and he damn well knows it...
How the Hell am I supposed to get out of this one?
What about Otou-san?
I closed my eyes, letting the thoughts dim into the back of my mind. Letting the searing pain of the headache take its course, eventually letting me sleep, to slip into my dreams where I can imagine nothing bad had gone wrong. Or where things could get worse.

8 418Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.

8 113Galduta
What seperates beasts from men isn't the language we speak or any such drivel taught to us in school. It isn't the way we walk or our intelligence that sets us apart. Some would have you believe that it is our ability to think and reason that makes us fundamentally different from the creatures that inhabit the world. That way of thinking, my friends, is entirely wrong. What seperates us from them and them from each other, is simply the skin that we all wear
