Will managed to keep Nico in the infirmary for a grand total of two days. At the moment when it hit 48 hours, a group of Hephaestus campers hammered the last nail into the new plaque on the wall, but they ran when an angry Nico stormed through the doorway, even though he was limping.
"I WIL BE LEAVING THIS INFIRMARY TODAY WILLIAM SOLACE OR SO HELP ME—"
Will leaned against the doorway, eyes closed and completely relaxed.
"You won't be going anywhere."
"AND WHY NOT?!?"
"You're limping and you can't even move the shadow of a marble," Will deadpanned, still relaxed against the doorway.
"YES I CAN!!!"
Will opened one eye and smirked. "Prove it," he challenged.
Nico flung his left hand out, and his shadow wavered, before his fingertips turned darker.
"Are you done yet," Will questioned.
"No."
Nico tried to fling his injured right hand out, but Will grabbed his wrist and lightly yanked Nico towards him.
Nico stumbles into Will's chest, who lowered his head and whispered in Nico's ear.
"Stop trying now or else I will drag you by the collar back into the infirmary and tie you to the f*cking bedposts for the next week."
Nico's breath hitched.
"Now, are you going to go back in that room nicely or will I have to make you?"
Nico groaned loudly, but started to slowly and dramatically limp back into the infirmary.
"Wait. I feel like we are missing something." Nico said.
"If you can't remember, it must not be important," Will said calmly as they walked inside.
*Meanwhile in Gotham*
"WHERE THE F*CK ARE THOSE TWO?!?!?!?!?"

Hi all, this is my first attempt at fiction ever. I'm sure it's awful, first attempts at new things usually are. Hopefully you can find something you like in it. I had a great deal of fun writing it. It's a basic Litrpg/Game, God sends you to a new world to do their bidding plot. I Know I did too much telling and not enough showing. I'm working on that. The underlying system is one haven't seen or done much. a full Point Buy system, like Gurps, Champions or the Hero system. After writing it a while, I see why folks don't do it. The record keeping is tedious. And once you start doing math in subsequent chapters, you can't go back and add more action, just because you dread redoing all the math. I've got about 80k words written in two "books" on the novel so far. I'm going to edit chapters and try to drop a couple a week till it's finished. Hopefully that will work for folks.
