《The Gotham Ghost King》Eff off fates!

Nico POV
"The fates decide to randomly show up at my house and say 'Go to Gotham. Here's a bag that has everything you need. Give us your sword, and we'll make you a superhero! Gotham needs you! We don't care that it has only been three years since the Giant's War!" I mutter under my breath, as I walk down a dark sidewalk with a black backpack on my back and my sword as a ring around my finger.
"Is it that hard to give me more directions than 'Shadow travel to the cemetery and walk east at 20 miles per hour?' Like, really. What am I even doing here?" I muttered, as I kicked a pebble into a dark alley.
Out of the corner of my eye, a shadow flashed, and I whipped my head towards it. As I stared down the alley, a tall man shoved his way past me, and almost knocked me backwards. I instinctively did a backflip, and landed on my feet, before I flipped the guy off over my shoulder.
I continued to walk, but now with the feeling that someone is following me, when I turned a corner and saw two people in ski masks robbing a small convenience store in an abandoned alleyway.
Instinctively, I advanced towards the two thieves, who were too blind to notice me at first. I felt a presence appear on a building, as I continued to stalk towards them. When I was right behind the closest guy, less then an inch away, "Boo."
The guy spun around and screamed like a pansycake. Before he could register anything, I punched his abdomen. Hard. He collapsed, gasping and clutching his stomach in pain. The other male ran towards me with his only weapon, a knife, while I stood still. Just as he was about to stab me with the knife, my hand shot across my body as I grabbed his wrist, and as he looked me in the eyes, I punched him squared in the jaw with a devious smile on my face.

I rolled my eyes and groaned. "The criminals here are wimps."
The stalker dropped from what seemed like the sky, but was actually a ledge a story up. "You shouldn't be here kid." He growled, wearing a hooded cowl,
"Do you really want to call me a kid, especially as I just took out two criminals for you?"
"How do you know that I am a friend, and not a foe."
Leaning against a wall, I replied "Who even says that anymore? I mean, 'friend or foe?' It's so old fashioned. Anyways, I know you're a 'friend' because you're Batman. Where's your sidekicks? Dawn Wing and Sky Hood, isn't it?"
"Higher up," Batman replied, before two males hit the ground in front of me. One of them rolled and stood up, not unlike the Half-Blood campers when they jump off of the climbing wall, while the other one hit the ground gently, after coming off of a grappling hook.
"It's Red Hood," one growled.
"And I'm Nightwing," said the other.
"So kid, what is your name?" Nightwing asked.
"I'm Nick. You can call me Nico."
"You got a home Nico?" Mr. Dark and Mysterious asked.
"Not currently. Though I saw a tree a while ago that I'm planning to go claim for the night."
"Nightwing. Take Nico and the criminals here to the police station. Red Hood and I will complete the patrol."
"Yes sir," Nightwing replied, as Batman and Red Hood jumped away. "Cmon. Police station is a few blocks west from here. Can you carry one of them, or do you want me to take both of them?"
"How about you carry them," I replied, as I slung my backpack onto my shoulder.

Kat here! So, first thing up, I do NOT have much of this story written. I also do not know much about DC anything. Backstories and their attitudes will be made up or sewn together from what little of their backstory I know. HOWEVER, if you do know stuff about Batman or other DC superheroes/villains/sidekicks, I will appreciate it if you comment it. Hope you enjoy this little story!

The Light Bringer
Would you leave behind everything you knew to live the life of another version of yourself? A version from a land where status sceens, levels, dwarfs, elves, beastkin and monsters were real? A world where limits were not set in stone and danger or adventure could be around every corner? If you stopped and thought about it, I think you would conclude it was a bad idea. But for a guy like William Taylor who actually got to make this theoretical choice, he chose yes. He's learning to regret that very quickly. But maybe one day he won't, if he lives long enough ------ Just some details about what this story will be like. This is more a character story than a story about leveling up and becoming OP. That may happen in time but don't expect it any time too soon. The MC has no powers that he brings into the world. He just has to do the best he can with his wits, knowledge and will to succeed. Also it's only fair to warn people this series has a bit of a slow start. 1 chapter a week with occasional bonus chapters.
