《Percy Jackson: Hunter of Artemis》Battle for Percy

I stood ready at the front lines, the other hunters backing me up as Annabeth's forces marched toward us. I scowled as I noticed her sitting atop a throne, being carried by four hyperboreans. I glanced at Zoë and found her glaring murderously at the monsters in front of us.
The army came to a stop about 100 feet in front of us. Annabeth stood up on her dais and looked down at us.
"Surrender Percy Jackson to me and we will leave in peace," she called.
"Sorry witch. That's not happening," Phoebe said. "You wanna take out brother from us? Come and get him."
The monsters growled at us. Annabeth only smiled sadistically before letting out an insanity filled laugh.
"As you wish," Annabeth said. She waved her hand and the monsters rushed forward. The hunters met them in a clash of blades. Hunting knife against sword, while the younger ones sniped monsters with bows and arrows from farther back.
I hardly looked as I took out monsters left and right with my sword, hunting knives, daggers and occasionally my bow. I nearly laughed as monster after monster fell to my blade. It mattered not what monster it was. Any beast that crossed my path died.
I made my way to Annabeth, cleaving down monsters as I went. My crazy ex girlfriend only smiled and motioned for me to follow her. I hesitated for a moment before my desire to kill her took over and I followed her deep into the forest.
I slashed down monsters with my knives and laughed as the golden dust settled. If these idiot monsters thought they could defer the hunters of Artemis, they were gravely mistaken.
I turned my head and looked around me. My sisters in the hunt were quickly decimating the monsters' numbers. I allowed myself a smile as I proudly watched my sisters. I turned back to my foe but a moment too late.

I jumped back but not before the blade caught my chest, carving a shallow slash that begin to leak blood. I glared at the snake demon before driving my knives through her throat, killing her instantly with little opposition.
I began slashing wildly with my knives and killed all in my path. When there were no monsters left in front of me, I turned and found all but three killed. Many hunters were injured while deaths were none. Those who were fine helped the injured. I walked up to the three monsters remaining and brought my knives down to kill them.
A bone chilling, agony filled scream stopped me in my tracks just before my blades could kill the monsters. One word escaped my mouth as I recognized the scream.
"Percy," I whispered before taking off in the direction of the scream, the monsters long forgotten as I ran toward the scream of my mate.

This is a story of two old men trying to free from the shackle of their destiny set in a future only to await their impending doom. This is a story of a dead god, and of a storyteller, trying to break from the bonds of the past. And as their stories go, one of them will face the events that unfold in their distant past, as the other one will unveil its mystery predicted by its future. Is it a mistake to challenge fate, after all? *** The world-building is set upon on the universal scale, with dungeon and old-style fantasy. It has a progression that follows with the consistency of a dungeon setting, although it's not what you call a dungeon, but a function of a crystal. There's a lot to take in this novel, but that's all within my intention. I have always enjoyed challenging conventional ideas. The cover is not mine, it's just temporary.
