《Make Me Love Again (THE VAMPIRE DIARIES)》DISTURBING BEHAVIOUR

After Rebekah had calmed down she started to go on about going shopping. So after a lot of convincing, Nik and Stefan finally made her agree to go tomorrow. So here we are in the clothing store, whilst Rebekah continuously questions me about every single aspect of my life. Nik says she doesn't like doppelgängers, so I assume it is something to do with that but I continue to answer her questions anyway.
"So you don't like your sister?" Rebekah asks.
"Nope" I reply simply popping the P.
So do you actually like my brothers?" She asks me a lot more softly this time.
"I do they make me feel cared for like I never had before, I know I won't be second best when it comes down to it. I would do anything to protect them, even if it meant I would get hurt." I say leaving her speechless. She walks back over to Stefan and Nik.
"There has to be more to this dress." Rebekah says as I sit next to Nik hoping she won't ask me anymore questions.
"There's not." Nik tells her. Rebekah walks out of the fitting room. She is wearing a short, black dress.
"So women in the 21st century dress like prostitutes, then. You know, I got dirty looks for wearing trousers." Rebekah asks him.
"Not all women dress like prostitutes like my beautiful Aria here. You wore trousers so women today could wear nothing." Nik says.
"And what is this music? It sounds like a cable car accident." Rebekah asks in disgust.
"It's dance music." I tell her.
"People dance to this?" She asks
"Hmm." Stefan hums in reply.
"Are we done?" Nik asks annoyed. I walk over to him and sit on his lap trying to calm him down.
"And why are you so grumpy?" Rebekah asks.
"I needed one thing from you for my witch to find out why my hybrids are dying, one thing. Your necklace. And you lost it." Nik tells her slightly calmer.
"I didn't lose it. It's just been missing for 90 years." Rebekah tells him before looking over to Stefan
"So what do you think?" Rebekah asks him.
"I like it." Stefan tells him. But she looks over to him unsatisfied.
"What? I said I like it." Stefan tells her defensively.
"I can always tell when you're lying, Stefan." Rebekah says as She goes back into the fitting room. Nik looks at Stefan.
"Nice one. Good work." Nik says wrapping me up in his arms.
"You're the one that pulled the dagger out of her." Stefan tells him.
"I heard that." I hear Rebekah yell from the fitting room.
"All right. I'm going to get some fresh air." Stefan says as he goes out of the doors. Nik pours his drink and I leans into his chest.
"Stefan is hiding something." I tell him quietly to which he responds with a nod.
Aria was sitting over in the corner of the bar whilst Gloria is sitting at a table, her hands floating above a table filled with candles. Rebekah and I are at the bar. Stefan then enters.
"You left us." Rebekah tells him with a pout, I don't think she gets the hint that Stefan doesn't want her anymore.
"Yeah, sorry. Retail therapy was making my head explode." Stefan says monotonously, now I see what Aria is on about, he is hiding something. He is so closed off.

"Tell me about it." I say, looking over to Stefan I see him looking at Gloria.
"What's she doing?" He asks.
"She's failing." I say plainly.
"It's hard to find something when you don't have anything to go on." Gloria says annoyed.
"So use me. I only wore it for a thousand years." Rebekah says jumping off the bar walking over to Gloria.
"See? Now this one offers a solution." Gloria says as Rebekah sits on the table.
"All right, give me your hand, sweetheart." Gloria says and Rebekah gives her her hand.
"She's, uh, she's looking for the necklace, huh?" Stefan asks me nervously.
Gloria still has Rebakah's hand.
"I can sense something." Gloria says, I look over to Stefan. He looks nervous, I can practically smell it on him.
As Gloria continues to cast a spell. I look over to Aria, she sits there mindlessly looking out the window. I continue to look at her.
" Anta Cotis Syrum, Anta Cotis Syrum..." I hear Gloria chant in the background.
I look over to the table to see Gloria stop chanting and released Rebekah's hand.
"I found it." Gloria tells Rebekah and Nik.
"So where is it?" Rebekah asks her.
"It doesn't work like that, doll. I get images. There's a girl with her friends..." Gloria says suspiciously. What is she hiding?
"Yes, a dead girl with dead friends, if I don't get my necklace back." Rebekah tells her.
"Well, I'll have to dive back in to get the details." Gloria tells Nik. Lies.
"So dive." Nik tells her flippantly. I mean he is like 10000000 years old how can he not tell she is lying, he must have seen witches before. How can he can't know how a locators spell work is beyond me.
"I need more time." Gloria says cagily, Nik then walk over and leans over the table that Gloria is at.
"And space. You're harshing my ju-ju." Gloria tells him. I want to know what she is hiding, I don't like this disadvantage I have.
"We can wait." Nik tells her.
"I'm sure you can. But that's not what I asked." Gloria tells him quickly.
"Hey. Hey, you know, why don't we just come back later. I'm hungry anyway. I'll let you pick who we eat." Stefan tells Nik making his way over to the door. Nik walks over to me grabbing my hand before looking over at Rebekah and we leave with Stefan.
I don't like today, everyone is hiding something. First Stefan and now Gloria, in a minute it will be Nik! I give up.
We are back at the warehouse, I am on the couch drinking from a girl and Stefan is doing likewise seated in a chair. Rebekah looks at them sitting atop a nearby crate. As Aria is on my phone staring into space in the corner.
"My girl's dead. I'm bored." Rebekah says, I look over to Stefan
"You weren't kidding about being hungry." I tell him.
"Yeah. It's been a long day." Stefan says calmly.
"Try being related to her." I say to him pointing to Rebekah and laughing
"You're being mean. And why are you being mean? You used to love me." Rebekah asks him pouting.
"It's been ninety years, Rebekah. Give him a minute." I tell her.
"Why are you taking his side?" She asks.
"Because, my dear sister, I feel pity for any man who doesn't give you what you want." I tell her.

"Stop being rude to your sister Nik, she is a good person. I would rather have her as a sister than Elena." I hear Aria yell at me.
"Will you stop making me out to be a brat? I am not a brat!" Rebekah yells out
Rebekah turns round to Aria "Thank you." Rebekah tells her and Aria just nods in reply.
"A thousand years of life experience says otherwise." I say.
"Well, you're no picnic, either. I mean, I've only spent one summer with you and I feel like I want to blow my head off." Stefan says as Rebekah laughs.
"Fantastic." She says with a huge grin. Stefan drops the dead girl he was feeding from on the ground.
"I need to go." Stefan says getting up and walking away.
"Where's he going?" Rebekah asks.
"To write a name on a wall. It's a long story." I tell her. I look over to see Aria walking over to me, she comes and sits on my lap.
"Gloria was lying." She tells me bluntly.
"Why, little love." I ask her gently.
"She would have been able to see exactly where it was, she wouldn't need to dive, I can try if you want?" She asks me with a small smile.
"Ok, love. Rebekah, come here!" I yell.
Aria grabs Rebekah's hand gently before closing her eyes lightly mumbling a spell. I look down to see her frown before letting go of Rebekah's hand.
She looks up to me "Elena is still alive." She tells me. I think back to Stefan and huff angrily.
"I have a plan" I tell Rebekah and Aria.
I was standing in the warehouse waiting for Rebekah to come back we had now found out what Stefan was hiding now all we needed was to trick him into telling us. I look round the corner to see Stefan looking at the coffins and stops in front of one. He touches it but Rebekah's enters so he removes his hand.
"You're back. Finally. Nik went to check on the witch." Rebekah tells him, flashing me a smirk, wondering what he has planned. She looks at the coffin.
"Dreary, isn't it? The family cargo." Rebekah says lightly skimming her hand over the coffin.
"Hmm. Why don't you undagger them?" Stefan asks her simply. Like it was the easiest thing in the world. Yeah Rebekah, Undagger all your siblings then wait for Nik to dagger you again. How did you like your 3 days awake, were they enough for a few more centuries.
"Because he would hunt me down and kill me. He's a vindictive little bastard, my brother." Rebekah says to him, I told you so.
"But you still care about him. Why?" Stefan asks Rebekah.
Rebekah opens her mouth to say something but I cut her off. "The same reason you care about Damon. You will always care for family, Stefan.
"You don't care about Elena." Stefan points out to me.
"Elena is not my family Stefan." I tell him simply.
"Well, I hated him for a long time. It was exhausting." Rebekah tells Stefan cutting off the argument that was going to start. She sits down on the coffin and Stefan sits next to her.
"You know, when I met you two, you were both on the run." Stefan tells Rebekah.
"Also exhausting." Rebekah tells him.
I walk over to the other side of the warehouse and open up the top half of a coffin there, I look over to see a man around twenty years old with light brown hair. He looks very similar to Elijah. I lightly skim my hand over his face as sparks fly up my arm. I quickly pull it away, what was that? I close the coffin lid walking back over to Stefan and Rebekah to listen to their conversation.
"Who were you running from?" Stefan asks Rebekah.
"What do you mean?" Rebekah asks him with fake cluelessness.
"Last night I saw you, there was a man looking for you. You both seemed afraid. I just...I wouldn't think Klaus would be afraid of anybody." Stefan asks her digging for information.
"No one in this world is truly fearless, Stefan. Not even Niklaus." Rebekah tells him.
"Who was that man?" Stefan asks Rebekah desperately.
"I can't. Please." Rebekah tells him as She gets up.
"If Nik knew we were talking about this, he would..." Rebekah says in fake fear. How is she such a great actor.
"No, no, no, I'm sorry." Stefan says defensively standing up behind her.
"Just forget I asked. Okay?" Stefan tells her.
"He told me about the girl you loved. The one that died. He also told me that you're only with him because he saved your brother." Rebekah asks him gently turning around to face him.
"It's true." Stefan says emotionlessly.
"I think he secretly admires that about you. You'd sacrifice anything for family. Don't tell him I told you that." Rebekah tells him continuing her act.
"Your secret...is safe with me." Stefan tells her before starting to turn around but she pulls him close and kisses him.
"Do you think you'll ever love anyone like you loved that girl?" Rebekah asks him with innocence.
"One day, maybe." Stefan replies to her quickly.
"I can always tell when you're lying, Stefan." Rebekah tells him pulling away quickly walking over to stand next to me.
"What? I'm not..." Stefan says in disbelief, oh no Steffie you plan has been crushed.
"Don't bother. Your kiss already gave you away. You seem to forget Stefan that Gloria wasn't the only witch here. How long were you planning on keeping the alive doppelgänger a secret?" Rebekah asks him mockingly.
Nik comes in walking quickly.
"Gloria's gone. She's cleared out. You were right Aria, they both knew about the doppelgänger." Nik says coming over and standing next to me.
"He was asking about Mikael, Nik. He has not been loyal the whole time." Rebekah tells him.
"She's wrong. Klaus..." Stefan says before Nik rushes over to Stefan breaking his neck.
Stefan wakes up with a start inside the back of a truck filled with the coffins. Nik is looking at him.
"Just give me a chance to explain myself, okay?" Stefan practically begs Nik.
"No need. I'm not mad, I'm just curious. Aria and Rebekah seems to think you're holding onto something. A piece of your old life. The thing is, they both have got flawless instincts, borderline supernatural. So I thought I would check it out. See for myself that you've been hiding a alive doppelgänger." Nik tells him.
He opens the back of the truck. We are in Mystic Falls.
"Welcome back to Mystic Falls, Stefan." Nik tells him with a smirk.

Scorched - The Winter Winds (LitRPG)
Frank Ebner once wanted to save the world. Let the second one be better than the first. On Earth he was a student of... well it hardly matters anymore. It was dying, and he and the rest of his fellows and friends studying how to stave off the end graduated just in time to be told it was too late. That there was not enough time, funds, will, to stop it anymore. That the governments and the worthies of the world had moved from trying to stop it, to surviving the oncoming apocalypse, while blaming each other. That was a world Frank wanted nothing to do with. One riven by wars for places in the Archologies going up, and between them and the dying world they were leaving behind. So when a strange voice offered him a way out, to a world unmarred by the poison killing his? Frank took it. The voyage changed him, made him fit his new world, one of stats and magic. It came with perks, for in passing through their Heavens, they'd been exposed to Divinity, and taken some of the Celestial within them. Heroes now, but there are heroes, and there are Heroes. The nobility of the Empire care only for those who carry blessed bloodlines, and their time to adapt and train up for the new world is limited. Patrons are scarce among those like Frank, with only the base Hero perks, and magic studies expensive and lengthy. Often requiring heavy Oaths to gain the necessary aid to wield mana as a mage. Frank found another way. It nearly cost him his life. Now on the run and burned by the very magic he sought and craved, he is a pilgrim traveling to the The Eternal Tree, font of Perseverance. Frank hopes Ir-karlak will grant him some way to recover from the fires that scorched him. Without snuffing out the embers those fires lit within, for he has learned to harness them and he would not give up magic for the world. *** In the last 21 days, as I update this, I've managed about 18-19 updates. So Scorched should update most days, muse willing. She's fickle, sometimes. Not every day, but most. If there's an update for the day, it will be at 7PM, GMT+2. *[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Actually completed it. :) *

And it just so happened that one such world was available and open for the downtrodden and distraught. Alternative Reality - a virtual reality platform with a suspiciously unoriginal name, already established as the most life-like experience one could spend their time on and Luke had plenty of time to spare. Now? He’s more than just Luke, the social outcast. Now, he’s also Wail - a lunatic magician who plays with fire without the mental aptitude or sense of responsibility necessary to safely handle it. Add in a petty and spiteful character and the conditions for mayhem are fully satisfied. Join now and witness his adventures, while the world around burns with more than a bit of fault falling upon his downward sloping shoulders. Disclaimer! The book contains morally ambiguous choices, violence, arson, vandalism, unnecessarily satirical portrayal of religious zealotry, profanity, background forced labor that looms dangerously close to slavery and much, much more.
