《Purest Black》29 - I Have an Army

"It's good to see you again, Princess," Lucifer said with a bow. The Angels and Demons behind him mimicked his bow. When they stood straight again, they examined me with proud eyes. I was their ruler/savior, after all.
"For god's sake, call me Akira!" I complained.
"I suppose you found Mizu?" He asked.
I nodded.
"Where is she, then?"
"In Savannah."
"Why?"
"Because she rejected the tittle as queen and passed the role of heir onto me."
"We're there any whiteness?"
"All of my companions. If you don't trust the humans you can trust Haru and Zero, my Demon hound and Demon."
He smiled at me and fell onto one knee, kneeling before me. I blushed, not used to the attention.
"You highness, the Queen."
"Dammit Lucifer! Stand up! I don't like being bowed down too."
"You better get used to it," Peter said, coming up behind me. The other Demons and Angels seemed to tense at his closeness to me. I purposely kept myself completely relaxed so they wouldn't do anything.
"Right," I said, looking directly at my little army, "these are the HUMANS that helped me. If it weren't for them I might've been dead by now. I don't want any of you treating them badly just because they're humans. Understand?"
I got a few 'Yes ma'am's' and a few grunted replies, showing me just how messed up the relationship between humans and supernaturals was. I had plans to fix that.
"Well," I said to Lucifer now, "I don't know what you're here so early or what you're going to do."
"I was thinking training," he replied, giving me a devilish smile. It was ironic, actually, because he was suppose to be an Angel. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if he sprouted a Demons wing right out of the empty space on his back.

"That could work," I replied, returning his devilish smile. "Alright!" I yelled, making everyone jump. "We're playing hide and seek!"
"You know," Lucifer said, "your version of training and my version of training are very different."
"You're right. My versions fun." I turned back to the confused army. "Everyone get into groups of ten! After that decide whose going to be 'it' and wait for further instructions!"
I watched them bustle around. Most groups were Demon specific or Angel specific, which really pissed me off. When they were already, I walked among the groups and switched out out a few Demons and Angels. Which pissed some of them off. Too bad, I'm a Queen.
I counted them off in six groups. Sixty soldiers, impressive, Lucifer, impressive.
"Group one, you're up first! You have two minutes to hide and one hour to stay hidden. Anyone who gets caught does thirty penalty push ups! Ready...go!"
I watched as they scrambled into the woods besides the one Angel girl who was chosen to be it. I went and sat down by my friends. Lucifer was there already, talking with Luke about something that clearly excited them both.
I sat down in the grass. The others in the little army had already made themselves comfortable around me.
"You know," Lucifer said looking at me now, "I see the point of you're game. You put them in teams so they could know each other better. The point of hide and seek was so they'd learn to hide and stay quiet while walking around."
"I'm glad you understand," I replied. Truthfully I just thought it was funny seeing trained soldiers run around like children. I suppose that was another good point. They would relax more, have fun. After all, it would be nothing but chaos later on.

"Well," Lucifer said, "know that we have that all-ahh!"
"What?" I asked. "What's wrong?"
"So soft," I heard a voice say. Grabbing onto Lucifer's wing was Jessica. Her face seemed flushed but she had a happy smile on her face as she ran her fingers through Lucifer's wings. "So pretty!"
"Your highness," Lucifer begged, "please. Get her off me."
"Haru, what did you give her?" I asked, looking to the puppy eyes demon who was holding an empty cup.
"Just some water," he said, avoiding my eyes.
"Haru."
"Alright, I may have slipped some alcohol in it."
I sighed. Haru was a child at heart. James, apparently, thought it was funny too. He was covering his mouth, trying to hold in his laughter.
"Akira," Lucifer begged. "Help me."
"Hmmm, nope. I think it's best to improve our relationships with humans."
And with that, I walked to my little army and got to know my people. When I looked back, I couldn't help but notice Lucifer begging the others to help them.

The Bronze Players of Recreation
The world of Creation has seen a recent explosion of what can only be called an adventurer’s culture over the past few decades. People who were once looked at as nothing more than lower class mercenaries rose to the ranks of heroes and legends as adventuring became recognized as an idealized lifestyle of overcoming hardship and finding triumph. With the establishment of a guild-based government system on the continent of Terramania, adventurers were soon legitimized and adventuring became a phenomenon universally accepted around the world. Redlette had retreated from this world to live on Earth for the remainder of her years, having been born and outcast by the gods of Creation. However, upon meeting a friend that she treasured dearly, she found herself longing for a return to her world—she wanted to experience it properly and go on adventures with someone whom she holds dear. Putting a plan into action, she meets with her friend, an awkward, nerdy boy by the username of Herring who she’d only known through years of playing online games with him, and invites him to go on this fantastic adventure with her. An adventure in another world had always been an impossible dream for Herring, but when he suddenly found himself with the opportunity to embark on one, he knew it wouldn’t be as simple as books and shows made it out to be. Redlette was notorious for rushing into things without thinking them through, and he was flighty and weak. In the games they played together, they rarely grasped victory. They were losers through and through, both in hobby and life. Despite this, though, he takes the leap and sets off with Redlette into the world of Creation. Together they only had one goal: to have fun and go on the adventure of their lives. This time, they’d establish a guild of their own and be free to take on whatever exploits their hearts desired. This is the story of the founding of their guild. Author’s Notes: -My writing style is largely based off of the absurd amount of light novels I’ve read and anime I’ve watched, so it may come off as cartoonish or exaggerative at times. If that isn’t your thing, I’d steer clear of this story.-Not an MMO story.-No numerical stats.-Relatively slow pacing.-Posts are between 2000-5000 words weekly after Chapter 1.
