The group of friends started to chat amongst themselves which gave (y/n) the perfect time to exit. They seems like good people, but considering everything he's going through right now. He thought it would be best just to leave them be, who knows he might even see them again later is what he thought. Number 96 did say the gain their trust, but (y/n) doesn't know how to do that so he figured it's time for him to go. That is until he felt someone take hold of his hand making him stop in his tracks. Wanting to see who it was he turned his head around and saw Tori holding it again.

"What's the matter?"- (y/n)

"Your not getting away that easily. I heard what you said. You don't have a place to stay do you?"- Tori

"I wouldn't say that, but I guess I still stay at an abandoned warehouse."- (y/n)

"I thought so. Your coming with us mister!"- Tori

Okay so this is um, this is very unusual if I must say. Before I even knew what happened I was at this Yuma kids house sitting at his dinner table.

"So this is my grandma."- Yuma

"Haru Tsukumo it's nice to meet a new friend of Yuma's."- Haru

"Kari Tsukumo, and frankly I'm just surprised that Yuma managed to gain a cool looking friend."- Kari

In nothing but shear and utter defeat and just started to eat what I saw on the table.

This is so good I've never taste anything like this before. I guess it's true people say nothing can beat a home-cooked meal.

"So (y/n), where exactly do you live?"- Haru

"Here and there. But, I've been recently staying in this abandoned building that's pretty nice."- (y/n)

Can I just seriously say that nonchalantly!? I was so busy eating the food I didn't pay attention to what I was saying. I looked around the table and I saw that all of them were shocked who could blame them.

"Your homeless? What about your parents or family?"- Kari

"Well, you see the thing about that is I don't really know. I have amnesia heheh."- (y/n)

"This isn't a laughing matter young man."- Haru

"No really it's fine I've been doing okay for the past few weeks."- (y/n)

"You've been on your own for weeks!? How has no one come looking for you!?"- Kari

"Come on now I'm sure there has to be someone looking for you. Nobody is just alone."- Yuma

"Well I guess I'm an exception. I just woke up in the hospital and escaped don't know why I did but it just felt like I had to leave. It's just the world being funny I guess."- (y/n)

"Oh no, ma'am I can possibly do that. I mean I'm already imposing on your dinner."- (y/n)

"Nonsense, you can sleep in my room. Heck I sleep in the attic anyway so it's not like you'll be taking up space."- Yuma

"No buts, when it comes to the hospitality this family has a lot of it. So you might as well dig in and get ready for a real nice bed."- Kari

'It looks like we don't have any other option but to stay. This'll make things complicated.'- 96

'No shit! Worst part is I genuinely feel bad about staying here.'- (y/n)

'There's nothing we can do about it now. Although we can possibly steal a few number cards.'- 96

Timeskip next day

"Finally can float around outside of that necklace."- 96

"I thought you said you liked it in there?"- (y/n)

"I do, but getting some fresh air isn't that bad either."- 96

"Do you even actually breathe? And you didn't answer my question from last night."- (y/n)

"Hehehe, honestly thought you would have forgotten. "- 96

"No, now answer me. Why do you want to collect numbers?"- (y/n)

"It's quite obvious really. Because I want to become the strongest out of all of them. And besides you should be feeling an honored. Because my goals becoming the strongest involves you."- 96

Just so you know these two we're planning on just going back to their secret hideout and staying. It's not that (y/n) dislikes the Tsukumos it's just he doesn't like dragging people into unnecessary stuff. Speaking of he had The misfortune of running into one of Yuma's friends while he was walking.

"Hey (y/n) over here!"- Tori

"Oh no."- (y/n)

"It looks like that girl is trying to catch your attention."- 96

No wanting to be rude I just I'm nervously waved my hand and saw that she was walking over to me. Honestly the first thing that came to my mind was just wave and keep walking but, I got the feeling she'd fall on me.

"Funny seeing you here did Yuma not come with you?"- Tori

"Oh you see I'm pretty sure he would have loved to come and follow me. Unfortunately he's still sleeping at least when I woke up he was."- (y/n)

"That lazy bum."- Tori

"You and his sister seem to say that a lot. From what I've seen he's very hyper."- (y/n)

"Trust me the more you get to know him the more you'll start to see it. So where are you heading off to today? Oh is it to do more number hunting!?"- Tori

"It was an idea yes. Although I was more so thinking about going back to my hideout and getting some of my cards. It's nothing fancy just a small abandoned garage in the back alley."- (y/n)

"Can I come with you? I might be able to help you."- Tori

"I mean it's not like I'm against the idea it's just you don't really have to."- (y/n)

"I know I don't have to but, I thought we could talk more."- Tori

We finally made it to where I wanted to go and well she's actually a pretty nice person. I feel like she's trying to help me fit in as best as she can because I have amnesia and I appreciate that. Currently we're just getting a bunch of my cards that I had hidden away. Every now and then when I duel a number holder I would take their deck. It's kinda like a trophy to show I survived another duel, and a good portion of them have extra cards they don't use so it's cool. I get to find new cards to use in my deck and some I can probably use the trade and get money if they're rare enough.

"Who's this? Ghostrick Angel of Mischief?"- Tori

"Oh, that card. Can't believe you actually found her."- (y/n)

"Is this card special?"- Tori

"Does it seems special to you? If so keep it, she's all yours."- (y/n)

"The sentiment is nice but, it would be wasted giving this to me."- Tori

"How so?"- (y/n)

"Well I........I don't know how to duel."- Tori

"Seriously!? But almost everyone in your friend group is a dualist. How are you the only one who doesn't know how!? Not to mention I'm sure you've seen Yuma duel countless of times!"- (y/n)

"Well it's not like they actually sat down and taught me everything. It's basically I just sat there and watched asking questions."- Tori

This is very weird, never would I have thought someone wouldn't know how to do especially in this day an age. Now I think about it that's probably why she gets kidnapped too easily and was waiting for help. Hm, I'm probably going to regret this but, I can't in good concepts just to let her go on like this. Especially when everyone knows how to do and she'll probably need to defend herself when no one else is around.

"Well, if you like. I can teach you how to duel Tori."- (y/n)

"Wait really!? I don't know if I'm ready for that!"- Tori

"😅You're making it sound like I'm trying to do something. Don't worry I'll teach you how to play in a way you'll understand. However let's make it a surprise don't tell anyone else you're getting lessons."- (y/n)

(Like on god, I hate the fact that they have her not knowing how to duel. Especially when EVERYBODY knows how to do!)

"Not only that but, So basically you can use her ability forever!"- Yuma
