"Hey, Isa," I say as we sit in the couch together. Well, technically the. Couch, though it was still folded out into the bed. "I have a job to do tonight," I finished.
Isa glanced over a me. "Okay," she replied. "That's fine. I know I'm not going with you, yet. I've only had one day of training, after all."
I smile. "You got that right. I'm not going to risk you getting hurt," I say seriously, despite my smile.
Isa blushes. I raise an eyebrow. "So now you're blushing? What happened to the killing machine I saw earlier?" I tease.
Isa blushes harder. "Shut, shut up," she mumbles. "I'm still the same person, just I have other sides, too, not just shy me."
"Okay, okay," I reply. "By the way," I said, leaning in. "I like both sides of you."
This causes Isa to blush more, and I smirk in satisfaction. It was so fun to tease her.

At 2 in the morning, I leave, being quiet to make sure Isa doesn't wake up. I walk to the address Lola gave me, and look around. There were no alarms or anything. I walk around back and easily pick the lock on the back door.
I walk in, and wander around, quietly, of course, to try and find Tim Starr. After checking all the rooms on the lower level, I walk upstairs. The first door on the right is his bedroom. He's sound asleep, snoring slightly. I slide my favorite knife out of the holder on my belt, and easily slit his throat. I wipe the blood off of of my knife onto the bed, and walk away.
I head home, smiling slightly. It was an easy job, one that didn't take much planning or effort. Close to my house, I heard a noise behind me. I instinctually grab the handle of my knife, and turn around. Behind me is a middle aged man, looking at me, concerned.

"What's a girl your age doing out here at this time of night?" He asked.
"I'm just walking home," I reply.
"It's not safe out here, especially in this neighborhood," he says.
Oh, so that's what this is about. He doesn't want me outside by myself in a dangerous place.
"Believe me, I know," I say. "But don't worry. I can handle myself. Plus, I love just a few blocks away."
"At least let me-" he starts before I cut him off.
"Listen. I said I could take care of myself, so I will. I know you mean well, but I'm completely fine. So, leave me alone before things get nasty," I growl.
He held up his hands in surrender. "Okay, okay. I believe you. Just be careful, alright?"
I don't reply, just turn and leave. I sigh. He's not the worst I could run into, but that still doesn't stop me from being annoyed. Stup man, I rant in my head as I climb the steps to my floor and unlock the door.
I'm surprised to find Isa sitting in bed with a lamp on, reading a book.
"Hey," I say as I walk over to sit with her, taking off my belt as I do. "What's up?"
She looks at me. "Couldn't sleep," she said simply. "So instead I decided to read instead."
"Did you have another night terror?" I ask.
"No, I just heard a noise and couldn't get back to sleep after that," she said, stifling a yawn.
I study her. Her eyes are red with purple bags under them from being tired.
"I can tell you're tired. You should try to sleep."
"I tried. I couldn't."
"Well, you seemed to sleep well a few nights ago, when we slept together. You want to come sleep in my bed for the night?" I offer.
Isa blushes a little. "Sure!" She says, enthusiastically. I smile at that.
"Okay, just let me change," I say.
I change quickly, and walk out to get Isa. She's still reading, but looks about ready to fall asleep like that.
"Come on," I say, leading her to my room. We both lay down, and my last thought before I got to sleep was that I could get used to holding Isa in my arms like this.
