《The Luna Witch and Her Major》Chapter Seven, Christmas

Christmas had finally arrived and Camilla was determined to make it special for her son. Despite everything that was going on and not being able to find Bella, she had made everyone promise not to breathe a word of it as she wanted it special for her son. Jasper was staying over for a few days in one of the guest bedrooms and they were all wearing Christmas pyjamas: Teddy had on a stripped, multicoloured Christmas themed sleep suit and cute Santa slippers; Jasper, Fred and George had on a green pyjama top with a snowman on it and matching stripped pyjama bottoms; and Camilla and Andy had on a red pyjama top with a Christmas tree on it and the same pyjama bottoms as the guys. Everyone was in the festive spirit aided by the entire manor being decked out to the whole nine yards in Christmas decorations.
There was a large Christmas tree in the living room, a large wreath was placed on the front doors, decorations hang from the ceiling and strewn across the bannisters and the fireplaces, fairy lights covered the bushes in the gardens and the front garden was also decorated with a life sized sleigh that they had taken a lot of pictures in. Having not had a Christmas growing up until her First Year at Hogwarts, Camilla wanted to make sure that Teddy lacked for nothing and that it was extra special.
"I think it's time for bed soon lil' man." Fred said seeing his nephew running his eyes.
"No!" Teddy complained, wanting to carry on playing with his uncles.
"Teddy." George said warningly, but still he carried on saying 'no', despite rubbing his eyes and yawning.
"Is he saying 'no' again?" Camilla called, from the kitchen where she was setting everything up for Christmas dinner tomorrow with Andy and Jasper.
"Yeah!" Fred and George shouted from the living room. Camilla sighed and shook her head. Teddy was definitely coming into the terrible twos. Picking up the tray of things for Santa and his reindeer she headed into the living room with Jasper besides her while Andy finished up in the kitchen and Kreacher finished setting up Neville snd Luna's room as they would be arriving late tonight via Portkey.

"Teddy," Jasper said kneeling down in front of nearly two year old boy. "If you don't go to bed Santa isn't going to come, and we don't want that do we?" He asked gently while Camilla watched on with a soft smile on her face.
"Santa come. I want Santa come." Teddy cried.
"Then we have to go to sleep like a good boy don't we?" Jasper asked, smiling as Teddy nodded his head and reached his arms out to Jasper, Moony held tightly in his small hands.
"I sweep now." Teddy exclaimed.
"Good boy." Jasper said, kissing his forehead before picking him up and placing him on his hip.
"You got him?" Camilla asked, as she placed the tray on the coffee table in front of the fireplace while Fred and George tidied up the toys.
"I got him." Jasper replied, only to get stuck under a mistletoe. "Oh dear Teddy we're stuck!" Jasper cried dramatically, making Teddy giggle. "Do you think Mama will come save us?"
"Mama. Mama." Teddy cried laughing, making a kissy face at her making them all laugh.
"Hmm." Camilla said in faux thinking. "I suppose I can save you." She said, kissing Teddy's forehead, nose, cheeks and lips as he giggled.
"Ta Mama." Teddy said, giving her a wet kiss in return.
"Good boy baby and thank you." Camilla smiled, brushing his curls out of his face. He will need a haircut soon. She smiled at Jasper resting a hand on his cheek as they both leaned in for a kiss, giving him a passionate loving kiss. After a few moments they pulled back resting their foreheads together.
"Thank you." Camilla whispered, feeling grateful for everything he's done these last few months and for agreeing to put Teddy to bed so they can set up the presents.
"You don't need to thank me darlin'." Jasper replied sweetly. "But thank you. You've saved me darlin' and thank you for letting me apart of a first proper Christmas in over a hundred years."
"You don't need to thank us Jasper you're part of this family." Camilla replied brushing Jasper's curls out of his face, which Teddy was copying with Camilla's green eyes making Jasper's heart lurch at what a child between him and his mate could look like. "Goodnight Cub. Mama loves you." Camilla said lovingly to her son kissing his forehead.

"Night Mama. Wuv you." Teddy replied cutely, before he said goodnight to his uncles and his grandma.
"Right let's set up then." Fred said, taking his wand out of his wand holder as soon as Jasper had left the room with Teddy.

The next morning Camilla was woken up at six am by Teddy's voice coming over the baby monitor.
"Mama. Mama. Mama, Santa!" Teddy cried rapidly. Yawning, Camilla stretched and climbed out of bed slipping on her slippers and dressing gown as she headed for her son's room.
"Darlin'." Jasper called startling Camilla who reacted instinctively and pinned Jasper to the wall with wandless and worldless magic as her eyes turned gold from Winter.
"Oh Merlin!" Camilla cried, when she realised it was Jasper and immediately released him. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, I-I didn't mean to." She exclaimed, feeling terrible as fear bubbled with in her.
"Hey. Hey, hey. Shhh." Jasper said, as he wrapped her in his arms running a hand through her hair.
"You have nothing to apologise for. It's been less then a year since the war and I startled to you. You were just protecting yourself and your son." He said soothingly.
"I thought I was doing well." Camilla cried.
"Hey," Jasper said, pushing Camilla back a little and wiping away her tears. "You have been doing amazingly well with Carlisle, darlin', but these things take time. However, I don't want you to ever doubt yourself, you didn't hurt me I'm fine and even if you did it wouldn't matter as I would understand. I love you and nothing will ever change that." He said, kissing her forehead.
"Y-you love me?" Camilla asked shocked.
"Of course I love you darlin' more than anything and I love Teddy as my own too." Jasper said softly, smiling lovingly at her.
"I love you too." Camilla smiled kissing his lips sweetly, when they were interrupted by Teddy calling for her. "Let's go get that impatient lil' monster." She joked, as they entered his bedroom.
"Hi baby." Camilla cooed as she entered the room. A wide smile spread across Teddy's face as he used the bars to pull himself up.
"Mama." Teddy cried happily, seeing his mother walking towards him. He was definitely a Mummy's boy. He paused for a moment as he stared at Jasper behind his mother, when he came out saying something that shocked them both completely. "Dada." When he didn't get a response he tried again, this time the widest smile Camilla had ever seen spread across Jasper's face as he picked Teddy up and pressed kisses all over the toddlers face.
"Good morning lil ' man. Who's a clever boy? Yes, you are." Jasper praised making Teddy giggle while Camilla smiled at them.
"You're such a clever boy, baby." Camilla praised, leaning over and kissing Teddy's forehead. "Merry Christmas baby, and merry Christmas Jasper."
"Merry Christmas darlin' and merry Christmas lil' man." Jasper said happily, this truly was the best Christmas he's ever had. "Shall we go see if Santa had left you anything, Teddy. And see your auntie Luna and uncle Neville?" Jasper asked, passing Teddy over to Camilla when he reached for her.
"Yeah!" Teddy cried clapping his hands excitedly. "Auntie Moon and unca Nevie!"
"Come on then Cub. Let's go wake them, Kreacher, Nana and uncles Fred and Georgie up." Camilla said smiling indulgently at her son. Jasper watching them with a wide smile as he followed after them, these really have been the best months of his life so far and he couldn't wait for the rest to come. But first he was looking forward to spending Christmas with his mate and their son.

Because even if I don't want too that's not really how fate works, is it? You don't pick and choose fates plan, you get slammed with it and good luck to your poor soul. This is my story, the kind that was written years before I was even born, and now I'm living it. Watch me make a mess of it too, because after all, I wasn't born to follow. P.S. This book is technically #1, but I have a book before this one that's about their parents. You learn more, and get a clue about their parents and why they are the way they are. Some of the conversations in this book would make more sense by knowing the past. It's not as well written, but if you can get thought it, I promise you'll love this one even more. Of course if you rather start here, then you do you! It will make sense either way! I tired to fill in all the gaps without it getting overbearing. You can always hop back to the book before this after.
