《Bestfriend as a Mate》O N E

Not feeling the warm fur that I had grown so used, I wake up in my bed alone. Which was weird because Gus, my dog and bestfriend was always there.
Yes, I know its weird to have a dog as a bestfriend but Gus truly was. I had known him since forever. I knew his habits and facial expressions. He scrunched his nose up with he found something disgusting. His ears wiggled when he found something funny. Gus clicked his paws when he was extemely happy. I loved him, I cherished every moment we spent together. Sometimes I would have strange dreams that Gus was human but I could never see his face it was always cut off.
I was disappointed when he kept leaving for a certain amount of days though. He would leave but I had hope that he always came back and he did. But once I hit 16, he left completely. We put up flyers but with no luck
Going to the bathroom to take care of my hygiene. Looking in the mirror before I got in the shower, I sigh at my reflexion. My once healthy complexion was sickly pale, my eyes had slight bags under them from lack of sleep, I had lost a few pounds. I had became a shell of myself since Gus left. I get dressed in my blue Vans shirt, black leggings and blue checkered vans.
Grabbing my bookbag and phone, I go to the kitchen seeing mom and dad talking quietly amongst themselves. "He's coming today. How do you think Yosh will take it?" Mom whispered softly to dad.
"Hopefully it'll go smoothly. Our boy is about to turn into Luna." Dad whispered back to mom before I rounded the corner. "Morning." I say to them softly. "Morning baby. What do you want for breakfast?" Mom asked softly. "I'll just have a orange. I have to hurry to school." I say simply.

"Yoshi take a seat...today we'll have a visitor that is very excited to meet you. We know you took it harder than us when Gus disappeared. Just have a good day and eat something." Dad says gesturing to my slightly big clothes.
Nodding silently to him, I leave my house walking through the forest. My home is surrounded by woods, so you would think that it would be dangerous. But its pretty safe actually. Going to my special place that Gus had showed me once.
It was a open clearing with flowers of all kinds. It was peaceful as always. No one knew about this place or at least I hope not. Checking my watch, I get up before doing the quick jog to high school.
I couldn't wait until I graduated this year, then I would move far, far away from Great Falls, Montana. Maybe Maine or Georgia.
Arriving at school I attempt to walk into school without being notice by my bully. Nathan Tayler. He's been bullying me since I could remember, just because I was closer with my dog than other people unless it was Kyla my friend.
She was the closet person I had that I trusted to tell my inner thoughts and feelings. Kyla was my shoulder when Gus left me.
"Hey nerd. Did you find your stupid ass dog?" Nathan sneered shoving me into the locker making my shoulder throb in pain. Keeping quiet, I look at Nathan with a blank stare and he paused a sliver of regret passing through his dark eyes.
Punching me in the face, before retreating to go to his class. Getting to my locker I get my books before going to the bathroom. Seeing a bruise form over my eye, I grumble.
Oh, how I love school.

Walking home with a limp as per usual from Nathan who always found a reason to beat on me. Coming to my house, I climb through my window to avoid my parents seeing me like this. Only instead of it being empty a man was laying on my bed completely asleep.
His huge body took up the whole bed. It was huge like fat but with pure muscles. They held tightly to his suit that he wore. Getting closer, he looked like he was in late maybe mid 30's. He had dark brown hair and a full grown beard that made him look sexy.
Hold up. I didn't even know this guy and I found him in my bed. Hesitantly I poked him with my finger, when he didn't move I pouted. Poking him again this time in the cheek, the man's eyes popped opened making me fall back in surprise.
"Goddess you've grown." He says his voice smooth with a slight rasp to it. "Why are you in my room?" I question standing up trying not to show I'm completely frighten as he stands up almost reaching my ceiling.
The man didnt bother answering my question as his eyes zoned in on my face. "What happened to your face?" He said those light brown eyes of his darkening to a almost black color. "I don't need to tell you. I don't even know you." I glare at the stranger as he practically stalks to me. Grabbing my chin with gentle fingers, sparks flew through my skin as I shiver trying to pull away from him.
I think the stranger felt it too as his grip tightened a little as he examined my face looking at my bruised eye. "Who was it?" He asked simply and the aura that was surrounding him turned dark with anger and I could feel it. "Tell me baby boy." He whispered as I turned my gaze away from him.
This man was hypnotic and deep down I wanted to tell him everything about myself. I wanted to tell him about how Nathan has been bullying me non stop for years because I was gay.
"Baby tell me who did this?" The guy asked as I mentally fought with myself. "Nathan Tayler." I whisper softly but he heard it as a almost animalistic growl came from his chest
Stay here. I'll be back." He said before he placed a kiss to my forehead and left out the window.
"Jesus, whoever that guy was I hope I never see him again." I murmur before laying down on the bed.

Delve
Truth hides behind action. Delve. A word with many meanings. It may refer to an abyss, a dark place of no return or may also be a refuge, a haven of retreat from the harshness of the outside. None of those are right to me. For me, to delve is to seek the truth. Delving into that dark abyss and coming back with answers. To leave that safe refuge and suffer the pain of the outside just because it is real. This is the story of me delving deep into the truths of the universe. Suffering things that should not be suffered in search of things that should not be known. Once a common man, drowned in the same questions that have plagued humanity since the beginning of times, now I have found my answers. Now I have meaning. Delve, and you shall have yours as well. Jack is a regular citizen of modern society: he works on an office, uses public transport every day, receives a meager salary, and drowns his frustrations with entertainment and alcohol. Maybe, the only thing that sets him apart from many others, is his unique outlook on life. Despite feeling an unfillable void in his soul and suffering from deep depression, he still sees as his duty to be a functional, exemplary member of society. All in order to prove his life-goal point: no matter how good you are, life is still shit. This point-of-view, however, will be challenged by circumstances as a mysterious encounter with a weirdly dressed man takes him to a strange and dark cave. In this place, he will have to fight for his life against fantastical creatures from fiction, and more importantly, get face to face with his own nature. In doing so, he will uncover secrets about the cave that will change both him and all he ever thought to be true.
