《Pen Pals {MXTX}》7- One windy day

Wei Wuxian sat by his desk, next to the closed window.
He shifts comfortably in his seat. Ah, he can get used to this new seating arrangement.
He reached up and slid the window down just a little bit, and a cool fresh breeze of wind passed into the stuffy classroom.
Yep, he can really get used to this seating arrangement.
Wei Wuxian looked out the window, the wind was really picking up. The treetops from where he saw on the third floor were all swaying strongly, influenced by the heavy wind.
Leaves flew crazily all over the courtyard. Wei Wuxian felt sorry for the person who was in charge of keeping the schoolyard clean.
A flower pot flew past the window.
"..."
Yep, he felt very sorry for that person.
Wei Wuxian looked away and lean sideways to look at the boy seated in front of him.
Luo Binghe was wearing earbuds, listening to music, oblivious to the boy burning a hole in his head with their stare.
Wei Wuxian sighed.
He then glanced behind him and the boy seated there, Hua Cheng, was busy taking a nap with his head resting on his arms.
Wei Wuxian sighed again. He was bored.
He couldn't even talk to Wen Ning because the boy did his assignment wrong and had to redo it with the help of his sister, Wen Qing.
Wei Wuxian drums his fingers on his desk. He looked up and reached out for the window and he pulled the window all the way down.
A massive gust of wind blew in, Wen Ning's assignment papers flew off his desk, leaves entered the classroom, and everyone's hair was practically being blown straight.
A student's carefully made card house was instantly blown away. Cards scattered everywhere.
"What the heck, Wei Wuxian!" Wen Qing angrily shouted against the roaring wind.

"Just giving everyone some fresh air!" Wei Wuxian yelled back, grinning.
Then he felt a hand on his shoulder.
Wei Wuxian turned his head around to see Hua Cheng's shadowed face.
"Shut that window right now," Hua Cheng demanded, his gaze trying to murder Wei Wuxian.
"..." Wei Wuxian shut the window.
The classroom immediately lulls down.
Hua Cheng sat back down and resumed his nap.
Luo Binghe turned around and took out his earbuds.
"Did something happen?" he asked, puzzled, seeing Wei Wuxian's exaggerated tearful face.
"Luo-xiongggg, I-"
But Luo Binghe already turned around, putting back his earbuds.
Luo Binghe was in his own bubble, ignorant of the world around him.
A few moments later Wei Wuxian was bored again.
Both Hua-xiong and Luo-xiong are so boring today! No one wants to play with him! (TTnTT)
"Yo- Wei Wuxian! Some girl at the door is asking to see you!" a boy yelled across the classroom to Wei Wuxian.
Wei Wuxian perked up.
"Coming!!!" Wei Wuxian hastily tore across the room and out of the classroom.
"Jie!" the delighted boy ran up, and a smiling girl turned around.
"A-xian," Jiang Yanli said gently.
"Jie! What are you doing here? It's so awesome to see you, I was very bored just now!" Wei Wuxian rambled excitedly.
Jiang Yanli laughed, "I'm here to deliver your lunch, aren't you hungry?"
She beamed at him, handing over a brown paper bag filled with food.
"Oh, and A-cheng said there's something in there for you from him," Jiang Yanli added.
"Really?" Wei Wuxian asked incredulously.
"Yes, now A-xian, A-cheng might be a little stubborn, but he does care about you. Alright, I should go now, I have to get back to class. I'll see you at home alright?" with that Jiang Yanli gave the boy one last smile before hurrying off, heading back to her class.

Wei Wuxian skipped his way through the classroom to his desk.
He cheerfully set the lunch bag on his desk and starts taking food out.
Hua Cheng looked up from his arms.
"That was Jiang Yanli," he said, not exactly as a question.
"Yep!" Wei Wuxian said happily.
Luo Binghe turned around.
"Is that food?" he asked.
"Yeah! Jie Jie's food is the best! Oh, look, lotus-shaped cookies!!" Wei Wuxian exclaimed, holding up a plastic bag of sugar cookies.
Luo Binghe frowned slightly.
"Eh-? There's something else in here, what's this?" Wei Wuxian rummaged in his bag and brought out a lotus origami.
"..."
On the origami, it says unfold this.
Wei Wuxian unfolded it.
One single purple skittle fell onto the desk.
"..."
"There's writing on the paper," Hua Cheng said.
Wei Wuxian reads it out loud,
"Dear Wei Wuxian,
You still owe me five bucks you idiot.
-Jiang Cheng."
"..."
Hua Cheng turned his head around.
"Hua-xiong... Are you laughing?" Wei Wuxian pouted, "Why don't you give me five bucks if you think it's so funny."
Hua Cheng finally turned around, he cleared his throat, "But Wei Ying, you also owe me five bucks."
Wei Wuxian turned to Luo Binghe with shining eyes.
"Luo-xiong..."
Luo Binghe: "...Wei Ying, you took the most from me."
Wei Wuxian: "Exactly, you are the best Luo-xiong!"
Luo-xiong: "Alright, just for your sake, I'll help you."
Wei Wuxian smiled, "Yay! Thank you!" he held out his hands.
Luo Binghe placed a card in his hands.
Wei Wuxian, "...what's this?"
Luo Binghe beamed at him, "The school needs their courtyard raked, I'm sure they will pay you more than ten bucks for it"
Wei Wuxian, "..."
The boy sighed and popped the purple skittle into his mouth.
"Life's a sour grape," he said, making a face.

8 54The Devil's own sins
Writer updates available for free on patreon. The following account, dear reader, is a recollection and retelling of the story of the first imp. The last devil born from the original primordial pit at the dawn of time, and the lowliest speck of that first generation. It recounts the tale of Thozronnath the pitiful and his steady rise from obscurity, perpetually stuck as a punching bag for his betters until the day hell itself spat him out. The information presented here is pieced together from eye-witness reports and second hand hearsay, sometimes from creatures with more than two hands. I can not tell you with any degree of accuracy how much of it is true as it begins long before our time and it's true ending lies far unto the future still. I can tell you one thing though, it was confusing as hell. Cover: Illustration for John Milton's Paradise Lost by Gustave Doré (1866), a thankfully public domain image. Currently on hiatus.
