"Despite statements from the Ministry of Defense about conscription which wasn't imminent due to a spike of voluntary enlistment and the activation of reserve and National Guard which still managed to meet demand at the front line, the Government had officially launched a comprehensive Civilian National Service for male conscientious objectors as an alternative to the military or police service, taking the example of Civilian Public Service in the United States during World War II and extent alternate services such as in Switzerland, Finland, Singapore, and Korea."

Furthermore this program are also aimed as another option of disenfranchised families of former Islamic State of Indonesia or National Democratic Front of Indonesia members which remained in Indonesia as ways to regain their political rights along with military service. However, this program is not to be confused with judicial labors conducted and aimed to incarcerated members of both groups in labor camps which include heavy construction works, nor community services used as punishments for summary offences."

"National peace organizations; primarily the Indonesian Christian Peace Assembly, Association of Catholic Conscientious Objectors of Indonesia, the Center of Islamic Peace, Buddhist Dharma Nusantara Foundation, and the secular Indonesian Center of Conscience and War which had earlier pushed for the alternate service form had declared their support and in a national congress had agreed to form a new non-profit coalition under the name of Alternate Service Coordinating Agency in which it's constituent members, both religious or secular, will take responsibility to fund and maintain the camps used in the program and liaised with the government for providing work projects, housing, camp furnishings, and transportation."

In what became the first anti-war protest since the attack on the National Monument and the invasion of India, a National University Student Front (FMN; Front Mahasiswa Nasional) led coalition, the People's Peace Coalition, conducted a peaceful rally in front of Parliament Complex in Nusantara under heavy police guard, calling for the nation's exit from the Pan Pacific Defense Union, in which they called as 'imperialist coalition'. On the other hand the coalition also condemned the United Caliphate aggression and called the international community to look for peaceful resolution for the crisis and allow self-determination for Arab people including Palestinians..."

Notable personalities are starting to answer the call to arms. Among them are movie stars Marko Uwais on his way to enlist this morning; he's aimed to becoming an officer in the Army.

Other people from the wide screen who went their way to enlist so far include Karlina Limanto, which enlisted to the Marine Corps and said that she want to be infantry; and Ahmad Malik, joining the Army's Cavalry Corps.

Sports personality also honored the call, among them was prominent E-Sport player Chandra Widjaja, who served as an enlisted Air Force systems specialist. It also confirmed that the WBA featherweight boxing champion Ali Herlambang is on his way to become yet another Army NCO in the infantry, as well as many of our badminton champions such as Mia Gunawan who joined the Navy; Nicholas Angkawijaya, also in the Navy and is currently in training to be a qualified tiltrotor pilot.

"A peace march led by an Islamist coalition called 'The Spirit of 212' towards Western embassies and Israeli interest section in Nusantara City ended with clash with counter-protesters; more than 450 were arrested in the ensuing scuffle from both sides, including a few former police officers and military service personnel. The spokesman of one of the counter-protest groups, the New Pancasila Youth, Andika Bayu, cited their reason to counter-march because of anti-Semitic, anti-foreign and anti-religious minorities conspiracy statements by the 212 demonstrators and its sympathizers online and their call for the resignation of the President and its cabinet, which they deemed as an attempt to interfere with the war effort. In the meantime, Jakarta Metropolitan Police managed to evict a separate, unrelated, occupation protest that took place in the Kalijodo Park after a three day stand-off. Both police and the organizers of the occupation were unavailable for comment..."

"After a lengthy debate in both chambers of the People's Consultative Assembly, the amendments of the Government Regulation no. 112 of 2032 about Selective National Service has been passed. The amendment authorized the Ministry of Defense to initiate the draft lottery for both military and law enforcement manpower (i.e. National Police and Coast Guard, which in wartime are subordinated to the MOD) for men aged 18-30. This passage also mean reduced quotas for voluntary enlistment. The Government also had given the MOD 50 days for the first draftee to be inducted into the National Service."
