《Falling in love with the Muslim girl ✔》Chapter 18: Expect the unexpected!

"Hey my beautiful creatures!" my mom yelled as she walked into the house. She was in a pretty good mood, I wondered why.
"You're in a good mood? Bumped into the love of your life or what?" I asked laughing at her.
"Actually, I just bumped into your friend, maybe she's the love of YOUR life." she smirked and walked to the kitchen.
I stood up from the couch and followed her.
"W-what d-do you mean, did you see Safia?", I hesitated.
She laughed.
"What's so funny?", I asked.
"YOU! I didn't even say I saw Safia and you immediately made the link between her and 'the love of your life'. Son, you got it good." she was laughing while I was blushing.
"Whaaat pfiet no J-just guessing duuh", I said stealing the sandwich she was eating.
"Hey! I was eating that", she said throwing her hands in the air.
"Well next time, go tease someone else." I said taking a bite of her sandwich.
It's been a week since dad passed away, and I haven't spoken with Safia since 'our moment'. That's why I was surprised when my mom had a conversation with her. I wondered what they talked about. I wanted to text her the passed few days but I always changed my mind when I was typing the message.
Ooh and by the way, I broke up with Nat. I couldn't be with her with the thought I almost cheated on her. And I think I was more into Safia, but I couldn't share that information with anyone.
My mom followed me and sat besides me on the couch. Britt went upstairs, she was feeling down since the day dad died and we couldn't do more than be there for her. One day I heard her crying and I went to her room and just hugged her until she was sleeping again.

"Sooo, what were you guys talking about?" I asked when she was taking a bite from the new sandwich she made.
"Stuff." she answered shortly.
She was testing my patience.
"Mom!" I said annoyed.
"Just about you and school." she said.
"So you like her don't you?" she asked and smirked. She wasn't the smirk type of person but I could see in her eyes that she liked teasing me.
"Pfiet, no. I don't talk to her anyway." I said but I felt my cheeks turn red again. Great Brody great, always turning red.
"Why don't you talk to her?" She asked.
"Her boyfriend basically threatened me." I said whilst eating.
"Brody, I have something to confess." she said.
"What?" I asked. I was getting nervous, what was she going to say?
It was silent for a few minutes, I was just looking at her waiting for an answer.
"Mom?!"
"Okay okay, I heard your talk with your father and I know about the promise you made." she said.
"Whu-wh-what? How?", I hesitated again. How did she know that? Did dad tell her?
"I heard you talking, anyway.. Just don't let anyone stop you from being happy." she stood up and went towards the stairs
"Ooh and I like her so you have my blessing." she yelled as she was running upstairs.
Great, my mother likes her.. That's going to change a lot about the situation though.. Note the sarcasm.
Maybe I should text her? No no what was I thinking.. Maybe she's with that piec of- breathe Brody breathe, inhale exhale. You know what? My mother was right, that jerk isn't going to stop me from seeing her. Heck no, now I want her more. I took my phone from my pocket and started texting her.

- I smirked when I typed that, with the thought she'd get annoyed by reading it-
I was waiting for a reply and after an hour I finally got a reply, but it wasn't the one I was expecting.
What does Safia see in this guy, my face was turning red out of anger of the thought that Safia was being with that jerk. I got up and tried to calm myself down. He's wrong if he thinks I'm scared of him. The thought that he was touching Safia made me angrier with the minute. I lied in bed and fell asleep with Safia on my mind.
I woke up pretty early to do my morning run, I needed to work on my condition more if I wanted to continue playing football. I ran in my neighborhood and entered the park. After an hour, I stopped and rested on a bench because I was out of breath.
That was until I saw 2 big guys walking towards me.
"Yoo, are you Brody?"
one of the guys asked.
Nodding at his question was one of the biggest mistake I made in life.
