I looked at Safia while she was running back into the school.
"Hey bro, it was just a joke" Nathan said.
I turned back to Nathan and never have I ever been this mad.
"I don't see anybody laughing you dick" I shouted, looking around.
The other guys tried to calm me down but I pushed them away.
I was standing in front of Nathan, trying my best not to punch him.
"You were nothing when you arrived at this school. I gave you a reputation and I can take that away at any moment." I sneered.
"One mistake and you'll regret transferring to this school", I pushed him away one more time and followed Safia into the building afterwards.
Nathan transferred to this school 1 year after me. He would still be a nobody if it wasn't for me.
Anyway, I wanted to find Safia and make sure she was alright. It was 5 pm already, so the school was pretty empty.
I couldn't find her anywhere so I decided to ask a girl that just passed by.
"Hey hey, can I ask you something?"
"Yeah ofcourse Brody" she answered.
"Did you see anyone running wearing a green headscarf?"
"Yes, I saw her walking into the ladies room" she said.
"Okay thank you!"
So she was in the ladies room but I couldn't just walk in there. I sat down on the stairs and decided to wait. She can't stay in there forever and I need to make sure she was alright.
There I was, crying in the toilets again. History was repeating itself. I promised myself not to cry over something a jerk said again. Well, that promise didn't last long.
Thank God I had tissues in my bag. I cleaned the mascara under my eyes away and applied a new layer of mascara back on my eyelashes.

I looked at myself in the mirror and wondered why the hell someone would call me a terrorist. I didn't look like them and I sure as hell didn't approve the things they did.
I looked at myself in the mirror one last time and opened the door, it was time to go home.
Brody jumped up as soon as I opened the door. Did he actually wait for me?
*10 minutes later*
The door opened and I jumped up.
Her eyes immediately showed that she had been crying.
"Hey, are you okay?" I asked carefully.
She nodded and it was quiet for a few seconds
"You're friends are jerks" she said.
"He's definitely not my friend anymore, that I can promise you" I responded.
"Thank you for defending me Brody, I appreciate it."
"Call me your knight in shining armor" I said trying to cheer her up.
She smiled, "I guess."
She actually smiled at me?
"Hey" I said giving her a light punch on her upper arm, "Let's go home".
I offered her a ride home and she accepted the offer.
"Brody, can I ask you something?" Safia asked.
"Yeah of course"
"Why did you lie yesterday about going to bed and why didn't you say anything about it today?"
"I was going to, but you didn't let me"
"Yeah, that sounds like me" she chuckled.
"Well, I recently discovered why I was a jerk to you and I didn't know what to say to you, so I was planning to avoid you for a few days. When you texted me yesterday I was actually going to bed but that was untill Britt stormed into my room" I explained.
"Anyways, I'm sorry for yesterday and for the years that I bullied you. I was trying to fit in, that's all" I finished and looked at her while I was waiting for the traffic light to turn green.

"It's fine, you totally just proved that you're not a big jerk after all", she said.
"Yes! That's what I was trying to succeed" I smirked.
"You're still annoying though", she said while looking at me. I saw a smile appear on her face.
"Btw, I'm sorry that you have to share a house with Brittney."
"Ha-ha, she's not that bad. We just have been through alot" I responded.
We arrived at her house and she thanked me for dropping her off.
"Hey, are we meeting for our project tomorrow, because you're not doing alot princess?" I teased.
"I will get you back for that jerk", she said and closed the door of the car.
"Fair enough" I practically said to myself.
I waved her goodbye and drove off.

OUTLIERS
30 years ago brought the first superhumans, regular people given great power seemingly at random. 15 years ago brought the paranormals, stranger and often weaker in their abilities, but far more numerous. Today, the world holds its breath . . . Or at least, it should. Most people, though, are just trying to get on with their lives; some successfully, some less so. It's a sensible goal, but it can be hard when shadowy conspiracies and worldwide N.G.O.s are turning your city into a proxy battleground over world-shattering secrets. It’s bad enough when you’ve just woken up with superpowers and terrorists are holding your school hostage. It’s even worse if you’re an illegal vigilante stuck in the middle of the whole Charlie Foxtrot after a supervillain raid drops vital information in your lap. For Hannah Eiling-Kingsford and Flint Perez, life is about to get a lot harder to get on with. ----- Outliers is a superhero story. Okay, so not so much superhero as vaguely superhero-ish. It's about two teenagers dealing with, among other things, new powers, psycho exes, mysterious datapads and a giant, secret war between the foremost powers-that-be, over information that could forever change the world. Again. You know, normal teenage stuff. Outliers contains some foul language and mild sexual references. It is a complete story, and can also be read on its own website.
