《Falling in love with the Muslim girl ✔》Chapter 3: Our first conversation

*Beeeepp Beeepp*

The sound of my alarm woke me up and eventually after 5 seconds, I realized that I had to pick up Yassine from the speech therapist.

I grabbed my headscarf and wrapped it around my head. The moment I wanted to leave the house and catch the bus, Amin arrived home. The perfect moment, I thought.

"Amin, I'm taking the car to pick up Yassine alright?"

As soon as I took the keys from the table and was on my way to the front door, I heard Amin say that I needed to drive carefully.

"Every scratch you make, you pay!" he also warned.

"Sure" I responded and walked out.

*30 minutes later*

Yassine and I arrived home and Amin immediately checked the car on any scratches. He was so annoying even though I knew that he only did it to tease me.

"You're not going to find anything, you can trust me" I huffed, annoyed.

Mom still wasn't home and I decided to make some food. Amin took the car keys and said that he was going out with some friends.

"Well, it seems like it's only going to be you and me little guy, so what do you want to eat?" I asked but he completely ignored me while he was watching Spongebob.

"I'll just make something" I sighed to myself.

It was getting late and Mom still wasn't home so I decided to get Yassine to bed and get my butt also to bed. I didn't want to be late again tomorrow.

My mom worked at the hospital in town, she was a specialist in tumors that appeared in children. A really interesting but also tough job. Sometimes she would come home not talking about her day at all and sometimes she couldn't stop talking about her patients.

After I went to bed I heard my mother come home an hour later. I immediately fell a sleep after that. The sound of my alarm woke me up once again.

"Day 2" I thought.

I was up on time and also had some spare time to take a shower and eat breakfast with the family.

Mom gave me a ride to school which I thanked her for. I jumped out the car and made my way to Amina and Malik.

Before I even got to my friends I heard two girls talk annoyingly to eachother. One of them was wearing a headscarf like me, it seemed like they were arguing.

I ignored them and decided to not get involved, at least until I heard the blonde girl say 'terrorist' to the hijabi. That's when something inside me snapped and I had to jump in between. I knew how it felt to get called such idiotic words and I couldn't just stand there without defending the hijabi.

"Hey, if I were you I would turn around and walk away" I said standing in between the two girls. As soon as I opened my mouth everybody started to look at me, but at that moment I didn't gave a damn.

"And where did you come from? Who are you anyway?" the blonde girl asked. "Ah another one who's wearing that thing on her head I see" she finished while raising her eyebrows.

At that moment I wanted to slap that ugly smile off her face.

"You have no idea who I am and believe me, you don't wanna know. If we choose to wear a headscarf what do you have to do with that? Do you see me complaining about that ugly bag you have with you?" I screamed directly in her face.

Completely in shock, she looked at her bag and then turned back facing me again.

"Well well well miss big mouth, if you don't..."

"Britt! Let's go!" a heavy voice said.

I saw 2 bright blue eyes looking at me and after a couple of seconds I realized that it was Brody. I quickly lowered my gaze and felt someone patting my shoulder. It was Amina and Malik who were standing behind me. They asked me what was going on but I turned back around to face the hijabi and the blonde girl but she was dragged away by Brody.

The hijabi thanked me and said that what I did was really brave, she thanked me again and told me she had to leave.

My heart was still beating like crazy and the adrenaline was floating through my entire body.

Amina and Malik asked me again what was going on and after I was done with the story they complimented my action.

Amina was mad I didn't call her first but at the time, I wasn't thinking straight. It wasn't a shock that Brody knew the girl, it probably was one of his girlfriends.

We made our way to the lockers where we took our books out and went to class. For the first time, we all had class together. We went to sit in the back of the classroom and opened up our books while we were still talking about what happened earlier.

The teacher entered the room and the class immediately went quiet. Our teacher was called 'miss Launders', a strict but great teacher. She could explain everything very well but would give detention easily. I've known her for over a year now. She was the kind of teacher that needed to have the last word, anything you say after that would not bring you any good.

Brody entered the room a few moments later and sat down in front of me.

He recognized me from what happend earlier and looked me straight in the eyes. He sat down and turned to face me again.

"I'm sorry for my sister's behavior, she didn't mean a word she said".

I nodded and he turned away, leaving my eyes to rest on his back.

I didn't expect an apology from 'The Brody' and of course she was his sister. Bullying was something their family did apparently.
