《Danganronpa ocem》Chapter 4 Part 5

Sophie was persuasive.
Sumana was dragged to her room by her arm. She didn't resist. She didn't seem to have the energy for that.
We threw her into her room and Sophie told us to tie the robotic arm to a chair, which we did. Sumana still sat defeated on the floor.
Sophie: We'll leave her here for now.
Ashton: Sophie, I really think we shouldn't be doing this.
Rachel: How about we untie her? This just feels so wrong-
Suddenly, we heard the sound of footsteps coming from outside the room. The door pushed open and we saw Hanako and Chloe standing in the doorway.
Hanako: Hey!
Chloe: What're you guys doing???
Sophie: Protecting ourselves.
Hanako: Are you... Tying her up???
Sophie: What does it look like?
Chloe: No- What?? You can't tie her up! No.
Sophie: Well I've already done it, so I can.
Hanako: Untie her! Right now!
Ashlyn: Guys maybe we should...
Sophie: No. I think we should leave.
Chloe: No, we need to get her out of here! This is just cruel man.
Sumana: It's okay.
Hanako: What do you mean??? You're tied up like a dog.
Sumana: No, I'll be okay. You don't need to help me.
Chloe: Really? How about tonight? Who's going to see the Team Danganronpa guy?
Ashton: Why don't we... Draw straws?
Sophie: Good idea. Go to the food court and get some straws. Whoever pulls the shortone does it.
Hanako: What if we can't trust the person? Like it's Sophie or something.
Sophie: I could just not pull.
Ashton: Alright then. Let's leave the room first.
Chloe: But Sumana-
Sumana: I'll be fine, trust me.
Chloe: If you say so...
We walked out of the room, leaving Sumana tied up inside. Sophie used Sumana's key to lock the door behind her.

Ashton: I'll go grab the straws.
After a while, Ashton came back with a few straws in his hand.
Ashton: Take one each. Whoever gets the short one has to go.
Everyone drew a straw except for Sophie.
Rachel: I got it.
Ashton: The straw?
Rachel: Yea.
Chloe: Well you're the ultimate lucky student so I'm not surprised.
Rachel: How is this lucky? I didn't even want to go in the first place.
Yu Xuan: Well the most we can do right now is go with it. It's only fair.
Hanako: Maybe you all just shouldn't have tied Sumana up and this would all be fine.
Rachel: Okay okay, don't start fighting again I'll go.
Sophie: Great. It's about 6pm right now, we can go do our own thing before meeting up at the food court at 9.30pm.
Chloe: So what should we do?
Ashlyn: I'm a little tired, I think I'll just go to my room and take a nap.
Hanako: I'll wake you up when it's time to go.
Ashlyn: Okay, thanks.
Everyone went their separate ways and I walked up to my room, locking the door behind me and immediately collapsing onto the ground in a heap. I was so tired. I wanted to leave, everything was so complicated and I was sick of it.
I missed the outside world, the freedom I used to have, and now I didn't even have a window to look out of. Maybe I should've been proud of myself for coming this far into the game, but how should I have felt if it was at the expense of my friend's lives?
I fell asleep on the ground, awaiting the knock on my door.
...
...
...
Pov: ???
I walked up to the door of the prisoner and unlocked the door with my spare key.

Sumana stared up at me, exhausted.
Sumana: You? What're you doing here? And how did you have my room key?
???: Hey hey! I just wanted to do a little check up on you y'know?
Sumana: How do you have my room key? Did Sophie give it to you?
???: No... She'd think I'm up to something!
Sumana: Then how did you get it?
???: ...I'll tell you everything if you do the same.
Sumana: You will huh? Monokuma gave you the key didn't he?
???: Oh? He did?
Sumana: Each room only gets one key, and if Sophie didn't give it to you, who else would have the copy?
???: Hm. Maybe he did give me the key.
Sumana: So you're the traitor? You made a deal with Monokuma, out of all the others?
???: Don't be a silly little goose, you know I wouldn't ever do anything like that.
Sumana: We trusted you, and you went and befriended a stuffed bear? You little bitch-
???: That's no way to talk to your friend, Sumana.
Sumana: So you admit you're the traitor?
???: I never said that. You're just overthinking.
Sumana: Then why are you here? To kill me?
???: Oh no, I wouldn't do that. I actually need your help with something.
Sumana: What do you want?
???: So I've come to the conclusion that you don't really have much will to go on anymore, am I right? I mean your friends are all dead what else do you have? Yea you got a robotic arm, but other than that, what do you have to live for? Don't you want a purpose?
Sumana: I- No, what makes you think that.
???: They only tied one of your arms. You could've freed yourself, but what did you do? Nothing. Oh and that robotic arm of yours is programmed to create trouble. It follows the feelings of the one it's connected to, so when you strangled Sophie or hit Hanako, you had the intent to kill them. But why? You might be asking. It was in front of everyone, and if you really had killed them, you would've been executed immediately.
???: Could that have been the motive for the attempted murders?
Sumana: ...
???: So? Do you want a purpose or not?
Sumana: Yes...
???: Good. Now, what's the word on your wristband?
Sumana: Traitor.
???: Alright then, let's get started on the task.
...
...
...
Pov: Ashlyn
I was awoken by the knocks on my door.
Standing up was a chore. Turns out sleeping on the cold hard floor was really bad for my back, which was already cracking as if I had just turned sixty.
I opened the door and saw Hanako.
Hanako: Morning, how was your nap?
Ashlyn: It could've been better.
Hanako: Everyone's at the food court, we should get going.

Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them. If you read this story then you won't lack for content. -- The Topps Company, Inc. has sole ownership of the names, logo, artwork, marks, photographs, sounds, audio, video and/or any proprietary material used in connection with the game Shadowrun.
