《Danganronpa ocem》Chapter 3 Part 15

Randi: Maybe that was the thing that was supposed to be fixed? Sophie, just make things easier and tell us what you were fixing.
Sophie: You think I can fix a phone?
Ashton: You were able to make many machines with your knowledge in computer science and mechanical engineering, which is how you got this ultimate title in the first place. You've told me this before, you can't lie about it. So yea, you can definitely fix a phone.
Sophie: Fine okay? I didn't lie, you don't need to attack me like this. Miyoshi wanted my help fixing a phone, and I told her to bring an extra one just in case something went wrong with the first try. I managed to fix the first phone, which is why there was a dead one in the daycare, it was unused.
Hanako: Why did Miyoshi want you to fix a phone anyway?
Sophie: I promised not to say.
Chloe: Damn it.
Ashlyn: So what do we do now?
Ashton: What happened next on the footage?
Tan Liang: At 8.10pm, Hanako entered the locker room and left with a container. Hanako, why were you in the locker room?
Hanako: I- I was using the kitchen.
Randi: Likely story.
Non-stop debate!
Truth bullets:
Used arsenic
Pots in sink
Miyoshi's diary
CCTV footage
Bent wire
Tan Liang: I bet Hanako went to the locker room before to not only prepare for the murder but also .
Hanako: Guys please listen-
Randi: And then I bet she sent Miyoshi the letter!
Yu Xuan: But Hanako was , I doubt she had time to prepare for a whole murder.
Ashton: She doesn't have an alibi, there's no guarantee.
Hanako: Listen to me! I don't have an alibi, but ! I was doing something else...
Rachel: Hm? What is it?
Hanako: I- I was making something in the kitchen! - - - Pots in sink - - -

Ashlyn: I agree with that! - - - CONSENT - - -
Ashlyn: Hanako has evidence! The pots in the sink were used and dirty, that means she used the kitchen to make something.
Tan Liang: So did she commit the murder?
Hanako: No, no I didn't! After I made the thing in the kitchen, I was covered in so much powder and flour I had to immediately go change. Also, I don't have a hoodie and I couldn't have stolen out from Tan Liang, as Yu Xuan said, I was with her all day. You can even search me and I'll prove I don't have it.
Chloe: What were you making in the kitchen anyway?
Hanako: Well, it was supposed to be a secret for but... I was making cookies for you all.
Ashlyn: Aww!
Randi: Can you prove it?
Hanako: Yes, actually I can.
Hanako pulled a container out of her bag, it was full of cookies.
Hanako: I baked this yesterday. It's the same container I was carrying out of the kitchen. You can check.
Ashton: I think that's enough evidence to drive us away from Hanako. Is there anything else to talk about?
Yu Xuan: Remember when we were trying to open the door to the locker room? It was stuck together. Why was that?
I know why it couldn't be opened, it was because...
1. Something was blocking the door
2. There was glue on the hinges
3. There was glue on the door
4. Someone was holding it shut
Ashlyn: That's it! - - - GOT IT - - -
Ashlyn: The killer put glue on the hinges of the door.
Randi: Where'd they get glue?
Rachel: We thought it was normal at the time, but there was some jet glue in the locker room and some school glue in the daycare.
Tan Liang: What's jet glue?
Chloe: I have a friend that really likes dancing and according to her it's a glue ballerinas use to firm up their point shoes. It's very strong and can glue your fingers together. My grandma glued her fingers together once... Pfft...
Hanako: Then to glue a door shut, they'd have to use jet glue, not some random school glue.
Sophie: Wait. If the killer glued the doors together, wouldn't it create a locked room situation?
Ashton: How long does it take to dry?
Chloe: Around two to three minutes. Not a very long time but when it dries it's very durable.
(Okay I don't actually know a lot about jet glue I just got this info off tiktok)
Ashton: And you guys found it in the locker room, didn't you?
Rachel: Yup.
Ashlyn: Then maybe the killer glued the hinges, quickly put the jet glue back and left before the glue dried?
Yu Xuan: Then I guess we can stick to that claim for now. What else can we talk about?
Ashlyn: Well I think we all know this by now, but Miyoshi was hanging from the ceiling.
Chloe: Yea, there were like giant staple bullets that kept her up.
Hanako: Wait... Giant staple bullets? Where did those come from?
Yu Xuan: Maybe the wires in the daycare. There were a bunch of wires there that looked bent up. Maybe the killer bent these to use a staples.
Chloe: No... I think the killer failed to do so. The wires if I recall where colorful, but the staples were grey.
Hanako: To be able to stab into someone, it had to be sharp. Ugh, this is getting us nowhere.
Rachel: So what do we do?
Ashton: Well I know one thing for sure. Miyoshi was the murder accomplice.
Chloe: What?
Ashton: Think about it. Don't you think it's weird that Miyoshi was so involved in the preparation of her own murder? The phone was stuck into her throat and she was the one who got Sophie to fix it. The killer literally wrote letters telling her to meet up and "prepare". For what, you ask? The murder.
Yu Xuan: But if Miyoshi was planning the murder, why did she need the phone? It had nothing to do with Alyssa's murder, and the fact that she asked Sophie for help and not the killer... Maybe the killer didn't know about the phone.
Ashton: Well to solve this, we need to think. What is a phone good for?
Randi: Calling people? Playing games?
Chloe: Taking pictures!
Rachel: Why would Miyoshi need to take pictures of the murder?
Ashton: Guys this is all starting to make sense! Miyoshi took a photo of the murder to show us who the killer was! Miyoshi wasn't an accomplice she was on our side! She was faking helping the killer when she was actually planning to record it and show us!
Ashlyn: That lines up with why there were the words "Dirty Liar"! Maybe the killer found out about the phone and killed Miyoshi so she wouldn't tell us about it. That's why she was labeled a liar, because she pretended to help the killer.
Yu Xuan: Couldn't she have just told us about the murder plans so we could make sure no one died at all?
Chloe: I guess that's one of the flaws in Miyoshi's plan. She partially did the right thing but it didn't end as well as she hoped.
Ashton: Well, I guess now we can kind of narrow it down. Who here hung out a lot with Miyoshi?
Chloe: Well we all did technically.
Ashlyn: Who here had long conversations with her since the second trial?
Chloe, Sophie, Yu Xuan, Hanako, Rachel and I raised our hands.
Sophie: I guess we have our suspects.
Ashton: Wait, there's something wrong here.

The Edge of Endless
Due to some unforseen and significant life events, this story will be on hiatus for a time. Reborn into a strange but familiar world, Alex makes it his mission to uncover the mysteries of governments, gods, and the arcane realm known only (and inaccurately) as the Unending Depths. Slowly but surely, he grows in ability and meets new and interesting people. tEoE is an epic fantasy LitRPG with a focus on plot, writing, and hopefully original twists on the standard formula of 'MC picks cool class, levels up'. Give it a read if any of the following appeals to you: > 3000-5000 words per chapter, chapters released at least once per week, usually several times. Expect good grammar. > Story focus on illusions, secrets, and traps (along with the usual combat and character stuff). > Progression fantasy, but one where progress is meant to feel earned, moderately paced, and reasonable. Some advantages, but not big, unfair ones. > If a random reader can work out that putting a big rock in a bag of holding, lifting it, and then dropping the rock is free energy, then so could an adventurer who's owned a bag of holding for twenty years. Side characters have brains too. > Blue boxes! Levels! [Classes]! [Skills]! Loot! > No uncomfortable sexist undertones. Ambivalent about including relationships. Definitely no harems. There are a number of arcs planned and this will be ongoing for some time. I am very appreciative of the kind reviews and comments left so far.

From there on out, he got volunteered into the crew of the Morning Star, the pirate ship he was unfortunate enough to stumble upon. With a tree for the Captain, a dragoncat for the Quartermaster, and a human, equal in height and width, as the Cook, he sets sail across the mysterious and hostile Threshold, filled with fierce abominations, rich Ghosts, and patriotic soldiers from the Glorious Metal Empire, all to figure out what the Light has brought upon his Earth that day, and to find his way back home. Warning - English is not my first language, so I apologize in advance for any inconsistencies and grammar mistakes. Please, do point them out when you find some. Updates three days a week - Monday, Wednesday, Friday. This book is about the slice-of-life-ish lighthearted adventures of Joseph and Co. Just one long bumpy road, inspired by old-school RPGs.
