《Danganronpa ocem》Chapter 3 Part 10

Chloe: What do we do?
Ashlyn: The door doesn't have a lock, so it has to have something blocking it on the inside. We just need to hit it hard enough and it should open.
Randi: This is bad... Really bad.
Yu Xuan: So we'll just knock ourselves against the door I guess...
Hanako: Okay let's do this. On the count of three we knock down the door. Ready?
Tan Liang: Let's go.
Hanako: One...
Hanako: Two...
Hanako: Three!
We collectively slammed our bodies against the door, and with a loud crunch, it opened.
Ashlyn: Miyoshi???
No answer.
Chloe: Miyoshi where are you?
Ashton: Let's look in the other shops, she might be there.
Tan Liang: Why would she lock herself inside a room? Something's wrong.
We looked in the other shops, but found nothing but stale air. Eventually, we were back in the locker room, no trace of our friend anywhere.
Ashton: She really did disappear huh...
Ashton lowered his head.
Sophie: Oh come on you can't be serious maybe we just weren't checking the right place at the right-
Sophie paused, then felt her head.
Sophie: Something dripped onto my hair...
Everyone slowly tilted their heads up.
Ashlyn: No no no no no...
My heart stopped as the image I was seeing registered in my head.
(Yes, it's Miyoshi and she's hanging from the ceiling. HAHA get cucked Miyoshi)
Ashlyn: N- no... Miyoshi...?
Yu Xuan: What the...
Speakers: A body has been discovered in the ice rink locker room! After a certain amount of time, which you may use however you like, the class trial will begin!
My mouth began to be filled with a bitter taste.
Again?
Chapter 3, Deadly life
For every sin a price to pay
Chloe: We- We need to get Alyssa!
Monokuma: Not yet! Puhuhuhuhu!
Hanako: Oh, it's you. Give us the Monokuma file and leave.
Monokuma: Make sure to search thoroughly puhuhuhuhu! You idiotic children might miss something!

Chloe snatched the file away from Monokuma.
Chloe: We won't miss anything, just like how we did in the last investigation! Now leave!
Monokuma: Okay okay! Jeez! Puhuhuhuhu, this trial will be interesting!
Monokuma disappeared.
Tan Liang: Miyoshi...
Rachel: Why is it happening again??? I thought... This time's motive... I didn't think...
Rachel started sobbing.
Hanako: It's okay Rachel... Well it really isn't but there there... You'll be fine.
Rachel: Th- Thanks... Let's start investigating...
- - - INVESTIGATION BEGIN - - -
Ashlyn: Monokuma said "this trial will be interesting". What do you think he meant by that?
Chloe: Probably nothing much, the same thing happens every time. What we should do now is investigate. We need to get to the bottom of this.
Ashlyn: Alright then, read the file.
Chloe flipped it open and began to read.
Chloe: The victim is Miyoshi, the ultimate mathematician. The body was found in the ice rink locker room. The cause of death is the neck being slit open by a sharp object. Other external injuries include the limbs, forehead and lower torso being punctured by long, sharp metal wires. The time of death is around 2am.
Chloe: I know this is probably just a typo, but the file doesn't state the location of death, only where the body was found.
Ashlyn: I think Monokuma doesn't want us to know the information, it might be important to solving the murder... Too important to give away.
Chloe: Seems likely. It'll be pretty hard to investigate the body, since it's on the ceiling. How did the murderer even get up there to hang her?
Ashlyn: Well, there's a ladder over there.
Chloe: Oh.
Chloe walked up to the ladder and pulled it out of its corner.
Chloe: The killer must've used this to go up there and hang the body up.
Ashlyn: We can use this ladder to go up there and investigate the body, but try not to change any evidence.

Chloe: Alright.
Chloe placed the ladder under Miyoshi's body and climbed up to look at it.
Chloe: Well the most obvious thing are the words painted on the ceiling next to the body. It says "Dirty Liar". Don't see why the killer would write this here, but a clue nonetheless.
Ashlyn: How about the body?
Chloe: This makes me sick... But the most obvious part about it is the slit neck. As the file said, it was slit by a sharp object. And there seems to be something sticking out of it.
Ashlyn: What?
Chloe: Do I touch it??? Ashton!
Ashton: Hm?
Chloe: Am I allowed to touch the evidence? Like, remove it?
Ashton: I don't get why you'd ask me. But try not to. If it's really necessary... It really doesn't matter that much since we can't test for fingerprints anyway.
Chloe: Okay, here I go. Eww-
Chloe pulled whatever was sticking out of the neck out.
Chloe: Oh my god what the-
Ashlyn: What is it??
Chloe: It's a small black phone.
Ashlyn: A phone? Why is a phone in her neck???
Chloe: I don't know, but it's damaged. There's a huge crack in the screen, I don't think it could be done by dropping it. I'll try to turn it on, but I doubt it will.
Chloe tried to press the home button and the in button, but the phone stayed off.
Chloe: Nope, it won't turn on. Figures.
Ashlyn: Do you think anyone can fix it?
Chloe: We'll ask during the trial, let's continue.
Ashlyn: What else can you find?
Chloe: Hm. Like the file said, there's these metal wires inserted into different parts of her body. They're small, but thick.
Ashlyn: Pull one out.
Chloe: What?? Really???
Ashlyn: Yea.
Chloe: Okay... I'll pull out the one in the left leg. Eughh...
Chloe pulled the metal wire out from the left leg with her index finger and thumb, making sure to not disrupt the scene too much.
Chloe: Holy shit-
Miyoshi's leg dropped and began to dangle from the ceiling.
Chloe: HER LEG IS TOUCHING ME GAHHH-
Ashlyn: OH SHIT-
Chloe batted the leg away and when it kept dangling down again, she grabbed it and twisted it. There was a huge crack, and like that, the leg stayed up.
Ashlyn: Did you just break her leg???
Chloe: I didn't know what to do! She's dead anyway!
Ashlyn: whatever just tell me what you found!
Chloe: It's like... A giant staple bullet. The two ends are really really long but the middle is short.
Chloe: Anyway, now that her leg is out of the way, I can see that there's two giant holes in the ceiling, where her foot used to be.
Ashlyn: Weird... I'll take note.
Chloe: There's five other bullets, but I'll assume they're the same.
Ashlyn: Is there anything else wrong with the body or anything I'm the ceiling?
Chloe: I don't think so, I'll come down now.
Ashlyn: Okay, be careful up there.
Chloe came down from the ladder.
Chloe: Where should we investigate next?
Ashlyn: Well, wasn't the door locked earlier? There's no lock on it, so it's quite weird. We should check that.
Chloe: Alright then.
We walked over to the door and looked around it.
Chloe: I think I've found it.
Ashlyn: Mm?
Chloe: There's something on the hinges. It's hard and clear and it was probably what kept the door locked.
Ashlyn: Well since there's no lock on the door on the inside or outside, I guess this would be a good way to keep the door shut.
Chloe: What do you think it is though?
Ashlyn: It looks like a kind of glue to me, I might be wrong.
Chloe: I think it's glue too.
Chloe: Alright, what else? This can't just be it.
Ashlyn: Well, there seems to be some kind of water stain on the floor leading to the gate of the ice rink.

Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.

RED
Valley City. Up until around twenty years ago, it had been a nowhere place. Just a bunch of towns with no real reputation. Now, though, it's known for its progression in medical science. The Medical Technologies Company. It seemed to suddenly appear out of nowhere in the middle of what's now called City Center. Once just a manufacturer and developer of medical equipment, it eventually started to dabble in medical research. Before anyone even knew it, they were the leading research entities, with five seperate buildings in Valley City alone, all towering above everything else in the area. Some say they even swayed the local government into combining the old towns into one city and popularized prosthetic limbs as fashion themselves, but that's just gossip. Matthew Vega. A 25-year-old college dropout, tricked by MediTech into being experimented on under the pretense of participating in a clinical trial for rent money. After being broken out of their facility nearly a year after having her limbs replaced, then having her liberator captured, she seeks a way to dismantle the company or save the one she cares about. NOTE: Currently I am working on a rewrite. I will post a new chapter once that is ready, listed as V2CH-001. I hope you look forward to it.
