《Danganronpa ocem》Chapter 1 Part 10

We all stared at the TV screen in horror, some of us were crying, some screaming.
Ashton: N- no- what the heck just-
Yu Xuan: This isn't- AAAAAAAAAAAAA NO
Randi: No no no no no no..
Monokuma: I hope you guys enjoyed that performance! Puhuhuhuhu! We spent a lot of our budget on the claw machine, but it was all worth the despair!
Sophie: It was really creative, I give you that. But it didn't have enough... How do I put this?
Tan Liang: Sophie, explain yourself.
Sophie: What?
Chloe: Y- you said you watched him murder Crysty. Why didn't you tell us? We could've solved the case much easier.
Sophie: Mhm? Your point is?
Ashlyn: Answer us. Why didn't you tell us?
Chloe: No... You just want despair right?
Sophie: Oh?
Ashton: You're the Mastermind, aren't you?
Rachel: You've been against us this whole time.
Hannan: It's only natural-
Annan: That it would be you.
Ashlyn: Are you the Mastermind Sophie, are you forcing us to kill each other just for the sake of despair?
Sophie: ...
Sophie: ...
Sophie: Hahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha...
Yu Xuan: The hell?
Alyssa: Sophie-
Sophie: You think I'm the Mastermind? HAhahahahahahahhHAh so what if I am? No one's going to kill me! hHAhHahhHAHAhahaHahAH you're all such pussies HAhaHahAHaahhAHAHHAha
Chloe: It's not funny!
Sophie: But it is though, you guys are being all stupid, thinking I'm the Mastermind. It hurts my feelings, even flex tape can't fix it.
Rachel: Kendric just died.
Sophie: Trust me, I'm not the Mastermind, I just wanted to make the trial more... Interesting. Solving it in five minutes would've been pretty boring right?
Hanako: Yea but-
Sophie: Anyway, I'll be somewhere in the mall, if anyone needs me, come find me.
Sophie left the trial room.
Chloe: Well, what should we do now?
Ashlyn: Let's go back to our dorms to rest, we can talk tomorrow.

Chloe: Alright then, goodnight guys.
We said goodnight and left the trial room, heading to our respective dorms.
When I got back, I flopped into the bed.
Why was this happening to us? Why is no one coming to save us?
I promised Crysty we would leave together, but these kinds of promises mean nothing when you can't keep them. I'm sorry.
No matter what it takes, I'll avenge the ones that died.
...
...
...
Pov: Crysty
When I opened my eyes, I was in a dark room. There's a soft hum in the background, and a TV in the corner. The room is black, but I can see very clearly, it's like a void.
Crysty: Is this heaven? Last time I checked, I was dead.
Kendric: No, this isn't heaven.
Crysty: K- Kendric- I'm so sorry...
Kendric: We're cool now, okay? We just need to find out where we are.
Crysty: So you're not the Mastermind?
Kendric shook his head.
Crysty: Oh...
Kendric: I think this is a holding room. For the dead, you know?
Suddenly, the TV came on, and we saw familiar faces.
Crysty: Are those our friends???
Kendric: They're broadcasting this on TV for us... To mentally torture us?
Crysty: Well what should we do now?
Kendric: I think we should just wait.
Pov: ???
I'm alone.
I'm just walking around on my own.
I know every corner of this wretched place.
I wish I could get out. They're all such nice people, I don't want them to get hurt, but two of them already...
Two of them-
Why does this need to happen? For the despair? Why do we need to recreate it? Why can't we just live in peace?
I hate everything.

Sylas never knew he was a Cambion, a being with supernatural abilities called Arma. Society discarded him out of fear and subjugated him out of jealousy. Now, Sylas has joined Dead Circus, a group bent on achieving equality for Cambions, no matter the cost. Sylas has been given a chance to fight the injustice present in the city-state of Concordia, and fix society for everyone to live free of chains and tyranny. However, there are those who would rather see it all burn down so they can start over from the ashes. Who decides what is right and wrong? Who decides what freedom costs? At the end, who will stay true to their virtues and who will be swallowed whole by the jowls of a twisted society? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dead Circus is an original dystopian light novel heavily inspired by Japanese light novel style storytelling, character design and world building. My hope is that every chapter will include a few full illustrations to use as supplementary material to the chapter itself. Dead Circus will contain mature themes and some uncomfortable topics. Any chapters containing these types of themes will be noted before the chapter begins. All art associated with Dead Circus, including the cover art is made by me. Fanart or any artist collaborations for the chapter release will be tagged with the respective creators. Dead Circus is divided into volumes and will release weekly with small gaps in between the ends of volumes. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I deeply appreciate your taking the time to read both this description and my work and I look forward to any and all feedback I receive. -Branime

The Last God (Excerpt)
This is an excerpt of the upcoming novel The Last God. Everyone cheered the day the world ended. Everyone cheered the day he saved the world. Cael Cavanaugh did not. Cael Cavanaugh survived the brutal invasion of his home and is now living with his family and adopted siblings on the ashen lands of the west. He rescues people from a fate that eclipses death and is the bridge between a rebel group that will stop at nothing to achieve its goals, and a tyrannical government that treats those who have not been reborn as dregs. But when Cael inadvertently sets off the end of the world, he will have to choose between a government that could avert world annihilation but that holds sinister motives, or the equally vicious rebel group that would sacrifice everyone for what they call liberty, even those Cael holds dearest. How far would you go to save the world?
