《I'm An Idiot》19

After a while, both of you pulled away and Jungkook connected your foreheads with his hand tangled in your dark brown hair. "How can you be so stupid? You should know that no matter what, I'll always choose you." He said with his eyes closed. "I'm so sorry, that was really childish." You said and pulled away. "It's alright. Atleast I know that you love me and that I mean something to you." He said while smiling at you. It wasn't one of his famous ear-to-ear bunny grins, but it was enough to let you know that he meant it whole-heartedly.
The car once again came back to life as you started the engine. But this time, the ride was full of jokes and little talks, the tension in the air long forgotten.
You parked the car in at the university, bid Jungkook goodbye and went to the girls' hostel side to register you. Once that was done, you went up to your room on the 3rd floor. Room number 38. How badly you had missed it. It was all the same. The same bed with pastel purple bedcovers, your study table at the far end of the room, beside it the door to your bathroom, your wardrobe standing adjacent to your bed on the right side, the bedside table on the left side of bed and posters and paintings still decorated the room.
After you had freshened up a bit, you decided to clean your room and unpack your things. You used an old out-of-use cloth to dust off the dust and unpacked your clothes and put them in your wardrobe. After you were done with it, you flopped down on your bed and texted Ji-Eun that you have arrived back at your dorm. She in turn gave you a big speech about how you had forgotten about her after going to Busan. So, both of you decided to meet at a café near the campus at 6pm and catch up on life.

After that, you got a text from Jungkook.
Babe, I miss you...
You smiled like an idiot at the cute message and imagined a cute little bunny flopped on his bed while pouting and looking at his phone, waiting for his girlfriend to type her answer.
But it hasn't even been an hour since we bid each other goodbye.
But I still miss you!
Let's go on a date today!
That'll surely cheer me up!
I can't...
Have to go and meet up with Ji-Eun.
L
I'm so sad...
So sad...
Sorry Koo...
Will go later someday.
Bye!
You scheduled an alarm for 5:30pm and put your phone on the bedside table and drifted off to sleep.
Your alarm rung for some time and you lazily shut it off. You went to the bathroom and washed your face. You wore a simple halter neck, high-low dress and paired it with a pair of cream colored ballet flats. You spent some time doing your hair as Ji-Eun said that she would come to you room to pick you up, and as always, she is gonna be late. You did a simple half up and half down hairstyle but put the upper part in a braid. You put on your lip balm and seated yourself on your bed while scrolling the Instagram.
After some time, there was a faint knock at the door. You got up to open and smiled widely upon seeing your best friend leaning against the door frame in a pink skirt and a black tank top. "Oooh~~" she cooed. "Someone's glowing up. Care to tell me the reason?" she said while eyeing you from head to toe. "I'll tell you when we reach there." You said with a smile tugging at your lips. You locked your door and walked side by side with her.

Both you reached there in a span of 10 minutes and sat down at a table after ordering your favorite drinks. "So, now tell me what all this change in you is about is." Ji-Eun said. You slightly smiled at her and told her everything that happened between you and Jungkook over the spring break.
After your little explanation, you looked up to see Ji-Eun jaw hanging on the ground. A waiter came to place your drink on the table and she snapped out of her trance and carefully took a sip of her cold latte. "So much happened between you two and I didn't even know. Wow! Some friend you are, huh?" she said while glaring at you as you just sheepishly smiled and sipped away you (f/d).
You guys talked till it was around 8pm. "Hey, do you think it is a bad time to dye our hair?" Ji-Eun asked while both of you were exiting the café. "Why do you wanna dye your hair all of a sudden?" you asked in bewilderment. "It's not all of a sudden, I've been thinking about it a lot actually. So, what do you say?" she said while her eyes held hope in it.
You contemplated over the topic for some minutes or so and said, "Fine. Let's do this."
