《I'm An Idiot》11

A few days had passed after both you and Jungkook had decided to take time apart from one another to sort out your inner feelings before taking a step further in your relationship.
You thought it would be hard to be apart from your best friend considering the two of you were always together like two peas in a pod, hardly away from each other during the day. However, with Seokjin's and Eunha's wedding just around the corner, you had been busy helping out with the preparation that neither of you had the time for each other minus meal times and night times when both of you were alone in your shared room.
Even then, you didn't spend much time together because the moment your head hit your soft, fluffy pillow, you were out after a long and exhaustive day. By the time Jungkook crawled into bed next to you, you were already deep into your sleep.
However, the times that you two did interact, it was filled with shyness and maybe the occasional flirting as both you and he were in a stage between friends and lovers.
As the saying goes, "more than friends, but less than lovers" – that was the best way to describe your relationship with the brown-haired male.
"Finishing touches..." Soomi, one of the store attendant mumbled which snapped you out of your thoughts. "And we're done! Why don't you take a look in the mirror and see if the dress is to your liking?"
You thanked the store attendant who moved away to give you some space. Taking in a deep breath, you lifted your head towards the floor-length mirror in front of you to reveal how you looked in your bridesmaid dress for the very first time.
(E/C) eyes widened upon seeing your own reflection staring back at you because you looked nothing like your usual self at all. You were dressed in a sleeveless dress with a lace sweetheart neckline to match the bride's wedding dress and the bottom half fell to your ankle with a slit on the left side of the skirt starting from your mid-upper thigh.
The dress was a baby pink to match the theme colour of the wedding which happened to be one of the bride's favourite colour.
"What do you think?" Soomi asked.
"It's beautiful," You breathed out, still unable to tear your eyes away from the mirror. "I love it."
"Miss Song does have a good taste." The store attendant commented as she watched you did a small twirl, the dress flaring out like flowers blooming in spring.
"She really does." You answered as your eyes returned once more to your reflection. "I feel pretty for once."
"(Name), you're more than just pretty. You're beautiful."
Your head turned towards the entrance of the changing room to see Eunha entered with a smile on her face as she drank in the sight of her bride of honour wearing the dress she had chosen.
"Yeap, Jungkook is really gonna shit his pants once he sees you in that dress." The black-haired girl smirked as she imagined the look on her soon-to-be brother-in-law's face.
You chuckled at her words, remembering telling her the exact thing except with Seokjin when she tried on her wedding gown. That day felt like forever ago even though it was just last week.
Your time spent here at Busan had been filled with ups and downs like riding a rollercoaster, yet it still beats staying in your dorm doing nothing much throughout the whole of spring break.

"Please, this is nothing compared to you." You said as Soomi helped you out of the dress to be packed away. "The moment you enter the room, I bet everyone's gonna shit their pants including me."
"Duh," Eunha rolled her eyes as both of you walked out of the changing room to make payment. "Of course all eyes are going to be on me. I'm the bride for god's sake and it's my wedding."
Shaking your head, you playfully nudged her side with your elbow which earned you a glare in return. You stuck out your tongue like a five-year-old and danced out of reach when Eunha tried to smack you.
"Yah! Where's your respect, young lady?! I'm older than you!"
You laughed as you ran out of the wedding boutique, shouting back in reply, "Says the one who's even more childish than me!"
Ignoring the threat thrown your way, you took your phone out of your pocket to check if you had any message while you waited for Eunha to finish making payment for your dress.
The moment your phone screen lighted up, a notification appeared informing you had two unread messages – one from your parents and the other from Jungkook.
You typed out a simple reply to your parents, letting them know that you were still alive and not lying dead in a ditch somewhere on earth. Once sent, you closed the group chat with your parents and opened up Jungkook's message.
Noticing that the message was sent only two minutes ago, you decided to call the brown-haired boy who picked up on the second ring.
"Took you long enough."
You could practically hear the smirk in his voice which you rolled your eyes at as you replied, "I'm not physic Jungkook. Besides, I just saw the message not long ago."
"Alright, you got me." Jungkook chuckled, his deep baritone sending a delightful shiver down your spine. "So, are you guys up to join us for lunch?"
"I'll have to ask unnie. Give me a second."
"Okay."
You turned to face said person who was currently exiting the shop, the shopping bag containing your dress hanging off her right arm as she put away her purse into her handbag.
"Eunha-unnie, the boys are going out for lunch and Jungkook asks if we want to join them. What do you say?" You asked the older woman.
"Why not?" Eunha shrugged. "We are more or less done here."
Nodding your head, you delivered the message to Jungkook who was still waiting on the other end of the line. "Eunha-unni agrees to it."
"That's awesome! Jin-hyung'll be happy to finally spend some time with his beloved fiancée. He's been complaining non-stop about not being able to see noona and honestly, I'm sick of it." Jungkook whinnied.
Your lips quirked up into a smile as you imagined the adorable pout that always appeared whenever your best friend made a puppy face. "He's your brother, Kook. So, it's your job to listen to him complain whether you like it or not."
"But—" Your best friend began but changed his mind knowing that it was fruitless to argue with you. "Anyway, V-hyung's craving for some pizza so lunch will be at the same pizza joint we went to previously."
"Alright, we should be there within 15 minutes since Eunha-unnie's driving."
Both of you exchanged goodbyes and ended the call. Once your phone was safely kept away in your pocket, you met Eunha's gaze with a small smile. "Taehyung-oppa wants pizza."

"Since when on earth does that boy not wants pizza?" Your older friend answered, putting an emphasis on the word "not" at which you let out a giggle. "Well then, we better get going or else they won't shut up if we're late."
You nodded your head in agreement when you remembered how Jungkook kept complaining about you being late even though you were late just by a few minutes.
With that, both you and Eunha left the shopping mall and headed towards the pizza joint where seven hungry men were waiting rather impatiently for their female friends to arrive.
"Seriously guys?! You're behaving worse than five-year-olds!"
Your hand was covering your mouth, your body trembling as you tried your hardest not to let out a sound of laughter at the scene unfolding before you. Your group of friends had their heads down in shame as they stood in front of Eunha who was glaring at them with her arms crossed in disappointment.
The boys looked like a bunch of schoolkids being reprimanded by their teacher for misbehaving in public on a field trip.
You would have felt bad for them since your black-haired friend was known to be rather scary whenever she's angry. However, it was so hilarious seeing a group of twenty-something-year-old men being told off in public that you lost it.
"I can't believe you guys at all! Getting scolded by Eunha-unnie in public just because y' all were too dumb to ask for more menus instead of fighting over it like little kids." You laughed, ignoring the glares sent your way. "Real mature guys."
"Shut it," Jungkook grumbled, sulky away next to you. "It's not like you're any better than us."
"Oh, I am definitely way better than all of you." You grinned. "After all, I wasn't the one who got scolded for fighting over menus."
"Just drop it, (Name)." Seokjin groaned, not wanting to be reminded of how stupid they were.
You stuck your tongue out childishly at the oldest guy but decided to spare whatever was left of their man pride by dropping the subject. Although, you still teased Jungkook here and there because he's your best friend. Hence, you were allowed to make fun of him.
Eunha was the one who placed the order for everyone and within ten minutes, steaming hot pizzas enough to feed an entire village were served. You watched in amusement as the boys dove for the food, gobbling up their slices of pizza without giving a single care about table manners.
"Argh! They're like a bunch of animals." Eunha wrinkled her nose in disgust, frowning as her fiancé got sauce all over his hands. "Are you guys raise in a barn or something?! Where are your table manners?!"
"When it comes to eating pizza, there is no such thing as table manners!" Hoseok smiled brightly, his mouth covered in tomato sauce.
Everyone else nodded their heads in agreement, minus Yoongi who was focused on his pizza. Eunha let out an offended gasp like the drama queen she was. "How dare you?! Even if you're eating dirt, you should still show basic manners at the least!"
Laughing, you replied. "There's no use in trying to convince them, unnie. They are too stubborn to change their minds. Stop wasting your time and enjoy the pizzas."
As to prove your point, you took a bite out of your own slice while ignoring the obscene sounds your brown-haired best friend was making as he practically inhaled his pizza.
With much reluctance, Eunha admitted defeat and ate her pizzas in silence with the occasional glare she directed at Seokjin who was oblivious to it.
The rest of lunchtime passed by with laughter as Jimin defended himself from Taehyung who was attempting to wipe his covered-sauce hands on the shorter male. It was just another typical day with this group of weird but amazing people you called friends.
You giggled at the sight laid out in the living room as you entered with Eunha. The guys were crashing on a flat surface nearest to them and clutching their stomachs – too full from
"Argh, I'm never eating another slice of pizza in my life ever again." Jungkook groaned, his entire body stretched out on the sofa.
"Sure, keep lying to yourself." You rolled your eyes at your best friend's words. "I bet you're gonna go back to eating pizza tomorrow or something."
Jungkook lifted his head up slightly and sent a glare your way. "It's that a challenge I hear?"
"It's not a challenge, doofus." You frowned at the brown-haired male, placing your hands on your hips.
"Sounds like one to me," Jungkook smirked, never one to back down from a challenge.
You let out a growl and threw yourself onto the male whose eyes grew tenfold its usual size when you landed on his stomach, a silent groan escaping through his wide-open mouth at the sudden additional weight.
"Cat got your tongue?" You peered down at Jungkook, the corner of your lips quirked into a smirk. "Serves you right for messing with me."
"Get off me! You're heavy, dude!" Jungkook growled as he attempted to push you off him. "You're squashing me!"
"Are you calling me fat?!" You scowled, smacking the brunette upside across his head.
Jungkook shrugged, a playful grin on his face. "I wasn't implying that, but if you think otherwise, then yes."
"Jeon Jungkook!" You screeched, picking up the throw pillow nearest to you before proceeding to smack the heck out of your best friend with all your might.
You couldn't believe that Jungkook had the audacity to call you fat, although indirectly! Although, it gave you a very good reason to hit him, so you forgave him for it.
"Stop hitting me!" Jungkook held up both his arms to his face, defending himself from your attacks.
"This is what you get for calling me fat!" You grinned mercilessly as you kept smacking the boy repeatedly.
"Get a room you two! Some of us are actually trying to die in peace here!"
You ceased your pillow hitting as both of you turned your heads towards Jimin who was lying on the floor with his lips curled into a nasty scowl. Being the childish person that you were, you stuck your tongue out at the older male and aimed the throw pillow for his face.
"(NAME)!"
"Oops."
You let out a burst of nervous laughter as Jimin got onto his feet, his eyes shooting daggers at you – a deadly aura coming off from him. Knowing that you were going to be dead meat if you don't run away now, you hurriedly scrambled off Jungkook who let out a pained groan when you accidentally elbowed him in the face.
"Sorry, Kook!" You hollered a quick apology as you made your escape to the upper floor.
"You're so dead once I get my hands on you!"
Glancing over your shoulder, you let out a yelp at the sight of an evilly grinning Jimin hot on your heels. You quickened your pace, nearly falling flat on your face as you missed a step on the stairs.
"Eunha-unnie!" You screamed. "Save me from Jimine-oppa! He's gonna kill me!"
Hearing her name being called, the black-haired woman stuck her head out of her shared room with Seokjin – wondering what the commotion was all about. She rose a brow in curiosity when her gaze landed on the sight of you running away from Jimin with slight fear reflected in those (e/c) orbs.
Eunha felt slight pity for you and decided to spare your life by grabbing on your arm and pulling you into her room – slamming the door shut in Jimin's face.
"No fair noona!" Came the pink-haired boy's muffled protests as he banged on the door, demanding her to release you. "You should be helping me and not (Name)!"
"It's obvious I'm the favourite child instead of you!" You shouted back, chest heaving from all the running you did earlier on. "Now, go away!"
All you could hear was the grumbling coming from Jimin as he cursed your name beneath his breath before stalking away from the door, knowing it was fruitless to pry his way into the room.
Silence returned once more which meant you could finally relax. Falling back onto the bed, you used this chance to catch your breath while Eunha stood the side –her eyes expressing her puzzlement.
"What did you do now?" Your friend asked, still trying to understand all that had just happened.
"I threw a pillow at his face." You answered matter-of-factly.
Eunha let out an exasperated sigh as she mumbled something about how she was stuck with a bunch of immature twenty-something-year-olds to which you simply grinned cheekily in reply.
She rolled her eyes before remembering she was just a few seconds away from going downstairs herself to get you for something when you ran up to the second floor yourself with an angry Jimin after your life.
"(Name)," Eunha called your name to which you hummed, indicating you were paying attention. "As you know my wedding's coming up, but before I'll be married off to Jin, I want to have a party to celebrate my last day of being single. And that's where you come in, my dear."
Understanding dawned upon you as you got the meaning behind her words. Bubbling with excitement, you took Eunha's hands into yours and swung the both of you around as her laughter echoed throughout the room.
Once you released your friend, you beamed at her with the brightest smile you could muster – (e/c) eyes sparkling with joy and excitement. "I'm gonna plan a party so wild and amazing that it's going to be an unforgettable night."
Chuckling, Eunha smiled in return. "I'll hold you onto that."
With that, you spent the next few days brewing up a storm planning for Eunha's bachelorette party.
Three days before the wedding, Eunha's group of close friends finally arrived at Busan.
It was a relatively quiet and peaceful day with not many activities going about since the preparation for the wedding was more or less finalized. The only thing left to do on the list was decorating the place which would be done the day before the actual wedding.
Both you and Jungkook had decided to spend some much-needed time with each other and was currently lounging in the living room watching a movie together when the doorbell went off.
"I'll get that," Jungkook offered to go get the door, pushing himself off the sofa.
You nodded your head and picked up the remote control to pause the movie when suddenly, Eunha whizzed past the living room – nearly crashing into Jungkook who moved out of the way just in time to avoid a collision.
"That's for me!" She hollered, beating her future brother-in-law to the door.
Both of you exchanged a mixed look of curiosity and puzzlement, wondering who could be at the door as voices floated down the hallway and into the living room. Amongst all the noises, the only voice familiar picked up was Eunha who was squealing with delight.
This suggested that whoever was currently at the entrance of the Jeon household must be people who the black-haired woman was familiar with.
The voices grew louder as they neared the living room and popping into sight, allowing the two of you to finally had a good look of the entourage following behind Eunha as they entered the room.
"(Name), Jungkook, come and say hello to my friends." Eunha gestured the two youngest people in the house to introduce themselves to the guests. "They're also going to be bridesmaids at my wedding."
"Hello." You greeted shyly, half of your figure hidden behind your best friend who grinned in return – showing off his famous cute bunny smile.
"Oh my gosh! He's so cute!" One of Eunha's friends squealed, her eyes sparkling. "Eunha-ah, why didn't you inform me such a cutie like him exists in your life??"
Your lips turned down into a frown as you pressed yourself closer to Jungkook, wrapping a hand around his arm as jealously bubbled within you. The brown-haired male raised a brow at your action only to smirk when understanding dawned upon him.
Wrapping his free arm around your waist, Jungkook placed a chaste kiss on your forehead before addressing the group who watched the exchange with surprised eyes. "Sorry ladies, I'm already taken by this pretty girl here."
Two pink spots on your cheeks as you buried your face into Jungkook's side, mumbling, "You're such a cheesy person, Kook."
Eunha, who had been watching silently all this while, chuckled at the disappointment frown on her friend's face – the one who called Jungkook cute just now. "Sorry, Haeun looks like you should try your luck somewhere else."
"Every time I meet a cute-looking guy, this always happens." Haeun sulked, her shoulders slumped in defeat. "I've the worst luck in the world, I swear to god."
