《I'm An Idiot》2

"(Name), wake up and open up the door!"
(E/C) eyes snapped open, a scowl appearing on your tired face, pissed off at the person who was currently banging on your dorm door at the crack of dawn. It was the first day of spring break and you were planning to sleep in for once since there were no more classes, at least until school reopen again.
"Go away, I'm sleeping!" You shouted and crawled beneath your blanket, ready to go back to sleep.
"That's it, I'm doing this the hard way. Don't say I didn't warn you." Came the muffled voice from behind the door.
However, you could care less since you were already on your way to dreamland. A happy sigh left your lips when the banging ceased, peace and quiet returning to your room. Snuggling into your pillow, you could feel yourself falling back into deep sleep once more...
...only for your blanket to be yanked away, your body shivering due to the loss of warmth provided by your now absent blanket.
Your eyes snapped open once more as you sat upright, glaring at the person who dared to invade your dorm early in the morning, disrupting your sleep.
"Jeon Jungkook! I swear to god once I get my hands on you, you are a dead meat!" You threatened the smirking boy. "What in the bloody hell are you doing here so early in my room?!"
"I told you that I'll be picking you up at 9 am sharp. I expected you to be ready by then, only to find you still lying in bed." The said boy rolled his eyes and pulled you and shoving you into the toilet. "We're leaving in 10 minutes, so hurry up and get ready or I'm leaving without you!"
You opened your mouth to protest only to be met with the bathroom door being slammed in your face. Your jaw dropped at what your best friend did, disbelief written all over your face.
First, he barged into your dorm while you were sleeping and now he dared to slam the door in your face?!
"Stupid ass boy." You muttered angrily under your breath, taking a seat on the toilet bowl to do your business.
"I heard that!" came Jungkook's muffled reply. "Also, you better not take your own sweet time or else I'm gonna come in whether you're naked or not!"
"You pervert!" You screeched, removing your clothes and throwing them on the floor, not caring about the mess as you jumped into the shower.
Jungkook smirked when he heard water running and a string of curses leaving your mouth. Chuckling to himself, he helped make your bed and tidied up any mess while waiting for you to be done in the bathroom.
Even though his threat was empty, he was pretty sure he didn't mind seeing you naked.
"On second thought, I think I'll just come in."
"YAH! JEON JUNGKOOK! I WILL CUT OFF YOUR BALLS IF YOU DO THAT!"
***
"Stop sulking, (Name)." Jungkook glanced at you briefly before directing his focus back onto the road. "It's already been an hour since we left university and you're still sulking."
"Hmph!"
You pouted and crossed your arms, turning your face towards the car window – looking at the passing trees. Jungkook let out a sigh, his lips pursed as he thought of different ways to apologize.
To be honest, you weren't angry at Jungkook. You just weren't in the mood to talk with anyone since you were still tired from having to wake up so early in the morning.

Bottomline, you were simply just grumpy.
It had been an hour since both of you left Seoul for Busan where Jungkook's brother's wedding will be held. As much as you dreaded the idea of being Jungkook's "girlfriend", you were excited to see Jin again.
It had been almost a year since you last saw the handsome man.
The two of you first met when Jungkook barged into your dorm (as usual) in a grumpy mood with his older brother trailing behind him, greeting you with a cheerful grin.
You could only wave back dumbly, taken aback by his good looks.
If Jin doesn't have a girlfriend already, you will have asked him out right on the spot which earns you a disgusted look from Jungkook. However, you changed your mind when you met his beautiful girlfriend who goes by the name of Song Eun-ha.
With both their good looks and charming personalities, they were the perfect match made in heaven.
Jungkook glanced at you out of his peripheral view, releasing one hand from the driving wheels, nudging you on the side. "Ne (name), are you still mad at me?"
You turned to give the boy a glare, growling. "Stop bothering me."
Your words caused Jungkook to pout. He tore his eyes away from the front, giving you puppy eyes and whined, "Oh come on (name)! I already said I'm sorry."
You were about to retort when suddenly a loud honking could be heard. Both of your eyes widened in horror at the oncoming truck, frozen in your seat. The truck was approaching nearer which caused you to snap out of it, shouting.
"JEON JUNGKOOK! WATCH OUT!"
The said boy returned to his senses as he swerved to the right, both of you narrowly missed being hit by the trunk.
"Oh man holy shit! That was so close." Jungkook breathed out, his eyes still wide with shock.
When he received no reply from you, he glanced to the seat next to him only to be met with your entire body pressed into the seat, your back plastered to the chair with (e/c) orbs widened with shock and fear.
Your heart was pumping a hundred mile per hour, threatening to jump out of your throat.
Jungkook let out a chuckle, assuring you. "(Name), we're safe now. You can relax."
That was the last straw and before Jungkook knew it, you exploded.
"How can you be laughing?! We could have died, and you find this funny?! How dare you Jeon Jungkook! I swear to god one of these days you're gonna be the death of me!"
Jungkook's eyes widened when he noticed tears slipping down your cheeks, too caught up in your anger that you didn't even realize that you were crying. He pulled to the side of the road and unbuckled his seatbelt, pulling you into a hug.
"Shh, I'm so sorry (name). I didn't mean it like that. I thought it'll calm you down by lessening the tension, but I guess I was wrong. Please forgive me." Jungkook gently shushed, running his fingers through your hair.
You buried your face into your best friend's chest, tears staining his white shirt. The two of you sat there, wrapped up in each other's arms, the radio playing softly in the background.
You pulled away once you had calmed down, giving Jungkook a small smile. "Better now?"
You nodded your head as your smile grew, only to turn into a frown as you poked the male in his chest. "If you ever do something like that again, I swear I'll haunt your ass even if you're dead."

Jungkook let out a chuckle, ruffling your hair. "Yes, madam."
Cheeks pinked at the sudden affectionate touch, hands patting down your now messy hair. "Jungkook, you messed up my hair!"
The boy simply laughed as he started the engine, the car revving to life once more. For the rest of the journey to Busan, it was a rather peaceful ride minus the occasionally playful banter between you and Jungkook.
Breathing in the salty air that Busan was known for, your lips curled into a smile, your eyes closed as the wind danced through your (h/c) locks. Even though you loved the city, occasionally it's always nice to be able to see the sky without skyscrapers obscuring your view.
Jungkook offed the engine and stepped out of the car, his eyes seem brighter as usual as he unloaded both your luggage. "Looks like someone's excited."
You whipped your head around to face your friend, your smile growing and skipped to his side – grabbing your luggage.
"I should be the one saying that considering you are way more excited than I am. In fact, you remind me of an excited puppy." You teased, waiting patiently for Jungkook before making your way to his house.
"A bunny to be more precise, an excited bunny." Jungkook rolled his eyes, taking out his house keys and unlocking the main door. "I'm home!"
"That doesn't even make any sense." You muttered, placing your shoes neatly and entered the two-story house.
Jungkook simply chuckled as he closed the door upon entering, doing the same as you – placing his shoes next to yours. Your nose wrinkled when you noticed how big Jungkook's shoes looked next to yours, painfully reminding you of the huge height difference between the both of you.
You practically looked like a dwarf next to your best friend.
"Jungkook, it's nice to see you again."
Your eyes landed on a woman who was basically the splitting image of Jungkook, a smile on her petite face as she held out both arms, welcoming her son back.
"Mom," Jungkook breathed, abandoning his luggage and you at the door, stepping into his mother's warm embrace.
You stood by the door awkwardly as both mother and son caught up with one another after not having seen each other for half a year. Jungkook pulled away from his mother and walked back towards where you were at, taking his place next to you.
His mother had a curious look, wondering who the girl was. "Jungkook, who is this?"
You jumped slightly when you felt an arm going around your waist, your heart spiking as you glanced up at Jungkook who whispered, "Remember what we discussed in the car? Just play along and you'll be fine."
You flashbacked to when both of you were in the car.
"Jungkook-ah, do you have any plans in mind on what to do so that your family won't find out that we're lying to them?" You asked.
The boy hummed, thinking that you had a point. If you and he are to pull this off, both of you must act the part of being a couple.
"Have you dated anyone before?"
You were taken aback by Jungkook's question, cheeks turning a bright red. "How's this got to do with me dating anyone before or not?!"
"Just answer the question (name), how hard can it be?" Jungkook tiredly replied.
"No fair," You pouted, arms crossed, sinking further into your seat. Jungkook glared at you while you stuck out your tongue. "Fine. No, I haven't dated before."
Jungkook's eyes widened upon hearing your answers. "You have never dated before, not even in your entire life on this earth?"
Turning your head towards the gobsmacked boy, you gave him a nasty glare. "So, what if I've never before? There's nothing wrong with that. In fact, there are so many people on this planet who are still single even when they're old and grey."
"I'm not saying that there isn't anything wrong with not dating before. I just thought that with that pretty face of yours, you'll have guys falling for you at your feet." Jungkook chuckled, his eyes softening with an emotion that you couldn't make out.
Immediately blood rushed to your cheeks, your face resembling a tomato. To hide your embarrassment, you resorted to violence – punching Jungkook in the arm. "Shut it. Not everyone's like you who can attract everyone upon one good look of your stupid handsome face."
"So, you're saying that I'm handsome?" Jungkook teased, his smirk growing.
Ignoring the stupid flutter in your heart, you sneered. "In your dreams."
"I shall take that as a yes then." You glowered at your friend who gave you a sheepish smile, returning to the matter at hand. "Anyway, in order to pull this off, it means that we need to act like actual couples."
(E/C) orbs widened, your heart picking up speed, stammering, "Y-You don't m-mean l-like..."
You couldn't finish your sentence, your mind filling with all sort of images of you holding hands with Jungkook, cuddling with him in front of the fireplace and most importantly, kissing him!
All that you had been dreaming about was finally coming true!
Jungkook gave you a concerned look when he saw your state – rooted to your seat, your eyes still wide, steam basically rising from your now very red face. "Are you okay, (name)?"
Only for him to panic when you didn't reply, remaining in the same state. Basically, you had short-circuited when you realized you were about to do the real thing of being a couple with your crush.
You nodded your head, ignoring the warmth on your cheeks. Jungkook gave you one last assuring smile before turning his gaze back to his mother. "Mom, I'll like you to meet my girlfriend – (Full Name)."
Shivers climbed up your spine as Jungkook pulled you closer to him, both your hips bumping against each other. Swallowing the nerves that had formed in your throat, you glanced at Jungkook's mother whose eyes held unknown emotions. "Hello Mrs Jeon, it's a pleasure to meet you."
Instead, you were met with silence. Mrs Jeon simply looked at you, her eyes moving up and down. You could tell she was scrutinising you. You shifted uncomfortably in Jungkook's hold, feeling nervous.
Scenarios of being screamed at and thrown out of the Jeon household appeared in your mind was just adding onto the stress and pressure. What Mrs Jeon found out that you were lying and blamed you for using his son for your own motives?
You really need to stop comparing life to all those K-Drama that you had been watching.
Your felt fingers rubbing your sides, glancing up at Jungkook who was looking straight ahead. "I'm here."
Nerves faded away as you melted into Jungkook's side, a small smile on your face. You pressed yourself closer to your best friend, finding comfort in his warmth. It was moments like this that you were glad that both of you were best friends – being able to rely on someone you trust.
"Our youngest son has finally brought home his girlfriend! Come and meet her!"
You blinked your eyes at Mrs Jeon who was grinning from ear to ear, her eyes sparkling with joy. Sounds of footsteps could be heard thundering down the hallway leading to the entrance of the house.
Before you knew it, you were being torn away from Jungkook's side as his family surrounded you, chattering excitedly at the fact they were finally able to meet their youngest son's girlfriend.
You stood amidst the chaos, feeling confused.
"Oh, you're so pretty!" Mrs Jeon squealed in delight, squishing your cheeks together.
"Thank you, Mrs Jeon." Came your muffled reply.
"So polite too!" Jungkook's mother gushed, turning to her husband – talking praises about you. "Our son is growing up!"
Her husband lets out a hearty chuckle, wrapping an arm around his wife. "I'm just as proud of him as you."
Your eyes landed on an old woman who wobbled towards you. You were taken aback when she suddenly clasped both her hands on your cheeks, brought your face down to her height and turned it left and right – as though looking for something.
From your peripherical view, you noticed Jungkook silently laughing at your current state. You would have glared at your friend, but you didn't want to appear rude in front of the old woman who you assumed must be his grandmother.
"Hmmm." Jungkook's grandmother rumbled before releasing your face and turning her focus onto his grandson. "I approve of her. She's a pretty one which means the Jeon line will continue to be good-looking people."
Your face burst into million shades of red, eyes wide as you protested, "B-But w-we're n-not- "
Jungkook cut off your words as he took his place next to you, a hand on your mouth. "Thanks for the blessing, granny. But we're only in university which means marriage is something that is still too early for us to think about."
"Bah! Nonsense! When I was your age..." Jungkook's grandmother began, only to be gently led away by Mrs Jeon who gave you a small smile.
"Your grandmother's something." You mumbled, causing Jungkook to laugh.
Everyone had already left, leaving only you and Jungkook plus your luggage standing at the house entrance.
"What did you think of my family?" Jungkook questioned, a hidden emotion reflecting in his brown orbs.
You glanced up at the guy, shrugging. "They're very sociable and easily excited over something, like you, but they are nice people."
"Well, you better get used to it because there are a whole lot more where that's coming from," Jungkook smirked, carrying up the luggage to the rooms upstairs.
"Huh? What do you mean by that?" You followed him, your brows furrowed in confusion.
"This is a wedding, you can't just expect my family to be the only one present, right? So, we better up our game if we are to fool not just my family, but everyone who will be attending the wedding."
You froze at the bottom of the stairs, knowing that Jungkook was right. Looks like this will be a whole lot harder than you had initially thought.
At this rate, you could only blame yourself for being such an idiot for agreeing to Jungkook's favor.
